Spend some time here. You phone model is Hermes. I would highly sugegst you read the section "Hermes for Beginners" before you attempt to try any upgrade. Good Luck.
I checked that out... the picture they show isn't my phone. They show the 8525.. not the 8125.. Cingular offers the upgrade to WM6 for the 8525... but not for the 8125.

yes i can conferm it is avalible. i went into "Name Censored" today and the technitian "Name Censored" has a magician branded as i mate jam. he noticed my mda compact (o2 rom) and asked what OS im runing on so i said WM2003Se and he proceeded to show me his jam running WM5 i asked him where he obtained the rom and he claimed from imate themselfs.. they have relesed the update for the jam users. but you need a jam phone to obtain this update...
anyone with a jam phone check this out and share the rom?

dated 25/8/2005 ..... I don't know what it is especially the "Aus" acronym...

i personally cannot download the file i would test it but i dont have access to imate, i have mda unlocked with o2 rom, but if the imate link isnt hte rom yes i will get a romdump from his device but acording to "Name Censored" (the cute girl whos number i got in "Name Censored") he wont be in until tuesday so we would have to hold out... thats only if the imate link isnt the rom like he claimed. although i can conferm his jam was becuae i checked the settings and version, and the genral interface.. and im not wm5 shy so its a 100% diagnosis of the OS. keep me updated on the Imate rom. if not i shal romdump from his jam. the file will be 256mb as standard though.

Bro forget about the Imate site , You have a working device that has the WM5.0, dump it and then we can try to get it from Imate. Thus, I have access to imate roms, and especially to the Jams but I don't believe it's the wm2005!!!

umm windows mobile 6 is not offered for the MDA, just the Dash. This has been established MANY times already.
Version 2.26 was just a more stable version of windows mobile 5 than what had previously shipped with the mdas.

If you click the MDA download and then type a valid TMO phone number its just thier 2.26 package which has WM5

The AT&T WM6 rom has been leaked for a few days now. I dont know if any of the dowonload locations are still active though.
I've trying to read through the forum but I cant seem to find a solid ROM that everyone agrees on... So whats the best ROM out there?

Ow gd, it is starting here also... Try the ROM's yourself! Try and try until you find something you like. Evereybody has different wishes, so there is no 'perfect' ROM that suits everybody's wishes. Read through the specs and see which ROM you like most.
i did an easy search on xda dev google for kaiser best rom. found this. next time, please use all the great tools that we have.

the tilt and kaisers aren't that much different.
helmi also created some cooked tilt roms, but everyone says it all before, no one is all going to agree on one rom. If you don't want to go through all the trouble loading the roms like many of us have, then stick with the HTC shipped rom. There is a reason why HTC made it the standard.
I have to tell you, the stock AT&T Tilt ROM (once you delete all the craplets) actually has excellent performance and is very stable.
It blows the doors off of anything I ever had on my Hermes!

The tilt and kaiser come with touch flow straight from the factory
also, please learn what a caps lock key is
I use the BigStorage htc one on my tilt. I must say, it's just as stable as the at&t rom, has more room, and I'm not missing any apps or anything that I would want or need. It's got a lot of the registry hacks I'd want, updated black keyboard, PIE fix, and a TON of room. Kudos to the developer.

Hello Everybody.
I bought my tilt from ebay, and the software was already customized with a ROM. I didnt know, but i knew it was different because, I have 8525 and the ROM is not the same.
My question is, that I updated my Tilt with a new ROM from Dutty's I think its the 04/29/08 version. Theres nothing wrong with this ROM, but I will like to go back to the one I had.
I want to go back to the ROM that I had, and the version is from Feb and it was TOUCH.
I dont know, if the TOUCH ROM is compatible with the Tilt, but that was installed on my phone before I upgraded to the new one for Dutty's.
If can someone help me to find this ROM thanks.

Yup! Hard Reset The Device By Pressing The the two keys on top of the Ie & email icon at the same time click on the reset button with the stylus then right after u do the restore and you set up the wm6 set up the device starts up and soft reset.

i have a LOT of iphone crap that i downloaded of rapidshare for my hermes, i assume it works with the tilt as well but being as i flash a new rom every day i haven't even bothered to check it. click the link in my sig (my files) and download both files from the iphone folder. i have to agree with the others though you shouldn't ruin your perfectly fine piece of work on a POS look-a-like even if yours still works better
just wanted to say this forum is awsome always has information i need been a member for a while never really posted on here before because my old SX56 broke before i found this place. I just got my 8525 of ubid and its a nice toy to mess around with . I already downloaded WM6 and ready to upgrade also downloaded AIM and few other programs want to play with.

well i have already flashed my 8525 i got blackberry connect to work on it i am running windows pocket pc 6.0 pro. the 8525 runs perfect i took out whatever programs i don't like or need. whenever i get tired of it i just pop my Sim card back in my blackberry 8800 and I'm golden. still trying to get used to the keyboard but getting better. its def plus to have a windows os with so much software out there. this site has made it possible for me to still keep my blackberry connection and use a pocket pc the best of both worlds
