Hello everyone,
I installed this program recomened from my friend on my WM6 T-Mobile MDA, added toolbar on today screen and check all the options. However, I can't put program in the background mode. It always close the program no matter what i do. I use smartkey and created exception for pocketmusic.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix it?
And BTW is it compatible with WM6?
Thanks,
Tom
minimize it.
i think it's option -> minimize
or file -> minimize
or something. I tried out this program the other day, I liked the today function, but i wish i could customize the today toolbar for it. didnt need all those buttons
that's the thing. even if i minimize the program it will still shut down. and after that when i turn the program on the track that i was listening before is lost.
Please let me know if you have any other solutions.
Thank you,
Tom

Anyone know how to do this? I would like to be able to do this instantly from a shortcut or script. Thanks.
Bump... Anyone?
A great man comes to the rescue (i don't mean me, i mean ViJay):

Thanks a lot RPG0. Unfortunately that software only works on WM5. Also, that's just one of the features of the software - I was actually hoping to have an EXE or something to toggle speakerphone on/off, or figure out how to do that. Thanks again though.
Hmm, I know you can put a button on the today screen with PhoneAlarm for that.
Did you try it? I think it says WM5 only as is WM5 or newer. The system didn't change so much from WM5 to WM6... And it does give you a link (i was using it for callhistory)... Just try it.
One of the built-in settings in AE Button Plus allows you to map that functionality to any button you want.
There's a new version of VJVolubilis lying on my harddrive somewhere that does this (written literally years ago!), but for now, go with AEButtonPlus.

Thanks guys! That worked great. One last question - what about disabling the phone's external speaker altogether?
Anyone figure out if we can actually use this on the wizard and if so, how?
Id assume you'd need the program from the wing...I kno the tilt has it also
I've tried it once but it didn't work and I didn't pursue it. WM6 ROM's are pretty tight for space and that was one that could go.
Ok, how about startup sounds?
I'm not a programmer or anything, but I was thinking that someone could possibly make a program that detects when the screen is rotated (after you open the keyboard it rotates).
So when it turns into landscape the program detects this and loads a specified sound, and the same for when you close the keyboard and it goes back to portrait..
Just a thought
NTS, I tried it on my Hermes and didn't get it to work. Might on the wizard. Here is the link

hi there!
I downloaded JUVS HTC Large Titlebar and HTC Enlarge Start menu CABs and installed both on my E-TEN M800 (VGA).
They installed fine and I now have the "large start menu" item in my system settings.
But when I check the checkbox to turn it on, it still doesnt enlarge.
I rebooted the device and still nothing. I basically only need the zooming of the notification icons in the start-bar.
have I missed something? do i need additional files?
thanks
Bernhard
the old one just for QVGA, try this one, but dun know can it work on ETEN
thanks, but it doesn't work.
maybe it needs touchFLO so its only activated when you use the finger? or something like that?
No touchflow wouldnt make a difference on this. Unfortunatly some of the items on here will only work with HTC devices and i think this may well be one of them im afraid. Unless anyone else can shed any light
Tried the Large Start Menu once on my iPAQ, and what I found was that the service (htcStartMenuService.dll) doesn't automatically start. Using DotFred's Taskmanager to manually start the service made the large start menu appear... until the next soft reset.
The same thing probably happens with the large titlebar thing.
thanks ridolfo, this works!
now i have to find a way to start it automatically on reboot
makes my e-ten even more userfriendly!
edit: i just added this nice and useful taskmanager to my StartMenu and on reboot, i open it, go to the services tab and click the little start icon for the LargeTitleBar service. thats it.
works like a charm.
IIRC, you can even open it on the services tab, using a command-line switch. Have a look in the "About" screen for possible command-line switches (I think it's in the "About" screen, but I'm not sure).
I'm still hoping that someone can explain why some of the HTC services do auto-start, but others don't.
yes, because when you install the LargeTitleBar it correctly creates its entry in the Registry and is bound to be started, but somehow it doesnt.
In my brand new HTC Touch Cruise, large menu option is ticked, but after playing around with apps or settings it becomes small, allthough it's still ticked. I have to disable and reenable it to make it big again. It's a bit of a problem, as it happens often. Advice would be appreciated.
same problem
couldn't this problem be fixed by some registry entires ?
I mean to put an application into autostart shouldn't be a problem, well for me, as a hardcore newp it is acutally, but maybe not fo you guys
on my xperia x1 i've got the same problem .

Hi! at all!
Have you found a solution?
Hi guys,
Sorry to bother ye with this but I am wondering if anyone can tell me how to enable transcribing on this Touch Flow? I bought the phone (unlocked) through e-bay (from Germany) and it works fine. I like to transcribe occasionally but it is not available as an option (have checked "other options"). I searched this forum and cam across several transcriber CABs but while they allow me to transcribe the little menu bar at the bottomis empty (although there appears to be "ghost" buttons with some functionality). when launching the transcriber a dialog window appears with a tick box. It is very narrow and impossible to read what is on it. I am wondering if this is because the CAB was designed for a lower resolution screen?
If there is a solution to this please talk me through it slowly - first time messing around with such things.
Cheers,
john
bumpity bump bump bump
No ideas?
n e ideas?
bump bump bump ftw
Am I wasting my time?
Sorry to be persistent here but is there any sollutionn to this problem?
Really missing transcriber functionality
Still wondering if anyone can help out on this? I've been using the phone for just under a month now and for the most part I find it matches my needs perfectly. Being able to transcribe would make it perfect (well also showing more than one appointment on today screen).
Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help!
I am a transcriber lover too
What I have found works for me might be slightly teejus but here you go:
Go to Settings>System>Remove Programs and remove the first (or only) transcriber you have listed there.
Soft reset
Go to Settings>System>Remove Programs and if the same transcriber is still listed, remove it again. If not, and any other transcriber is listed, remove it. If no transcribers are listed, skip down to "Install..."
Soft reset
Go to Settings>System>Remove Programs and if that transcriber is still listed, remove it. If not, you can skip the next step
Soft reset
Install the file I've attached to this post.
Soft reset
Try to use the new transcriber
If that works, that is great. If it doesn't, I'm sorry. But good luck!
Couple of questions Guys
1) Why is it when i set my alarm and then turn the phone off the alarm doesnt sound and is there any way round it!
2) has any one got any good apps that i should install (Have already got Coreplayer and myplayer)
3) I have Copilot pre installed as a trial version is there any ways to make this full version
4) have noticed that on Marketplace that office 2010 is free i have office pre installed on mine how do i check what vesion it is. ie 2007 or 2010?
5) What is the correct way to shut a running program because when i shut down lets say facebook using the left pointing arrow key it still shows up in task manager.
First of all:
1) is a WM mobile feature, don't turn the phone off, if you've set up an alarm. Insted of turning off, put it for example in flight mode
2) "good app" is a bit big interval
3) if you don't intend to buy it, this is not that kind of forum (warez isn't tolerated here for good reasons)
5) get yourself a task manager program, there's a lot of good freeware, even in XDA forums. The left pointing arrow just brings you one step back, it wasn't designed to close program
ok, but how comes every other phone ive i had you can turn off & the alarm still works!
Point 5) so what is the corrct way to exit a program why do i need another taskmanager when i already have installed?
He means to use a correct task manager.
You can search for dutty's taskmanager. It will add a cross to the top right of your phone which you can set to close a program completely.
You can just use the build in taskmanager, if you just want to close apps. Just put it as an shortcut in your startmenu and you can add the shortcut to the home tab in the HD2!
Westie,
Just so we understand you correctly; what do you mean by switching the phone off? Do you mean simply turning the screen off (leaves the phone working in the background) or do you actually mean switching the phone off completely?
Let us know so we can help you out.
WB
im mean fully switching the phone off how comes all the latest nokias (n97 n900) can be switch off and the alarm work but on this htc it doesnt?
