Any XDAII WM5 for Asia?

As I am using XDAII for 2003se which is 2.0600WWE downloaded in this forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=16880). The radio is 1.18 and the bootloader is 1.01. As I can upgrade my rom from 2003 to 2003se without any problem, I would like to upgrade it to WM5 in these few days.
However, I face some problems in my updating.
I have try XDA_WM2k5_2.01a64WWE, XDA_WM2k5_2.01a00WWE, however, I cannot search the phone network after upgrade rom. As I have read some posts before, I know that there may be my radio's problem, so I upgrade my radio also. I have try 1.17, 1.18, 1.08 with these rom. Unlucky, it also cannot search phone network.
So. for the only solution is get back 2003se with "Asia O2 Xda II WM 2003 SE Upgrade" in this forum. I can get my network back.
As the result, I would like to ask that what problem am I facing and what can I do? Is it the problem of bootloader ? or the problem of radio?
And also, there have "Asia upgrade" for WM5? It helps me a lot and I need not to afraid the networking problem.
Please help me. .

you're lucky you can install that file to your XDA2. Mine can't I donno why. Activesync kept on disappearing. Although upgrading to 2003se is not a problem.

waht edition of active sync do you have? to get wm2005 to work it has to be active sync 4.0 or higher and for the newer roms you have to have AS 4.2 or equivalent beta versions

I'm currently using AS 4.2. The problem is that I couldn't install WM2005 2.01 64 to my himalaya. Once I double click on the installer, AS disappears and an error screen will come out after 10 mins. I also tried installing WM 3.0 but still the same result. I really wanted to try using WM2005 on my himalaya. could you guys help me?

I tried installing the following files that I downloaded through this website:
HIM_3.00a.32_WM5_AKU_3_CLEAN
XDA_WM2k5_2.01a64WWE
WM2k5 3.00a64wwe
I understand that AS will disappear the same way as it does when I installed SE. However, what puzzles me is that all of these installers will inform me that there is an error and I could not proceed further with the installation. I even have to restart my laptop because AS couldn't communicate with my himalaya after my attempted installation.
Sorry I'm not well versed with computer language/jargons that's why I could not understand the readme file. I would really appreciate it if you could guide me. Thanks.

at last installed it! I have to re install though. I restored some of my data and it crashed on me.

high what network are you with and are you on contract or pay as you go?
cause i have the settings for o2 contract gprs and also havw the settings for e-mail etc

I'm now able to access my emails. however, MMS is still a problem. Still can't send or receive. I'm using a globe telecom postpaid line here in the philippines. I installed the attached file for the network configuration but still nothing.

Tmobile SDA (USA) flashed to imate AKU2 (2.6.331.2) bluetooth not working

Newbie here,
Flashed my Tmobile SDA (Tornado) to imate_sp5m_wwe_2.6.331.2. Everything looks good, Bluetooth does not work.
Accessing the BT via Comm Manager -> BT Setting, any changes I do for "Discoverable or ON" gives me a message "The settings could not be saved"
BT was working earlier with TMobile ROM. Any help is appreciated..

I had similar behavior with my older Qtek 8010. One day I found out bluetooth doesn't work anymore. I tried to hard-reset, re-flash, nothing helped, still getting same messages as you. I thought it's broken so I bought Qtek 8310. After some time WM6 for Typhoon appeared so I flashed it to my no more used Qtek 8010 just for curiosity how it looks. I tried to switch bluetooth on and to my surprise it worked without any problem. But don't ask me why

i had this problem but it only stayed till i soft reseted the device.

Do the files work on Typhoon as well

They are normal WM6 apps, all should work
Err, hearing the word Typhoon in Tornado forum doesn't sound good, let me warn you. Tornado is not compatible with Typhoon. Don't flash Typhoon into Tornado and vice versa

Live Messenger Installed. whats next recommendations

Installed the live messenger, I see a lot of *cab files, most of the names are meaningful, but some are not,
whats the diff between t9 and xt9 ? I also plan to use VOIP, should i install some of the voip cabs ?
the other question is on reset to see if I overcome the BT problem, if I hard reset, will I loose the cab and the rom installed, I dont mind loosing my data as I have a backup and resync faster. Please advice

they are different t9 softwares, simple as that, user preference, t9 is the normal one, where else xt9 is slight different
If you are using Andot's PEE, you just need to configure the xml files,

If you hard reset, you will lose your data only, you will still have the cabs and ROM, as long as the cabs are in your storage card

I tried the Simunlocker by jotach
Everything works fine. I get the code to enter, but the field for the 8 digit PIN isn´t there because I only can make Emergency calls...
I thougt it could be ROM problem and I´ve testet all HTC ROM till 1.57. and Installed the radio 1.0
No success.
I read about more people with this problem and without success. Is there another way to unlock? Or is this Phone to new?

Look on the vert first post under sticky. Unlock your Kaiser is o simple. I test my unlock Tilt with T-Mobile SIM I pop off my iphone. Wow, it works!!!!
Now, I can switch my Tilt with my iphone when ever I need it!!

Are you using a 6.1 ROM or 6.0 ROM? I had the same problem with a 6.1 ROM. I was forced to downgrade to a 6.0 ROM, Load the simunlocker, then load up the 6.1 ROM again. Hope this helps, Let me know how it goes.

I appear to be having problems and my phone now thinks there is no sim inserted!!
#5. After you unpacked the download you see directories "step1" and "step2". Go into directory "step1" and run KaiserCustomRUU.exe.
This will flash the special patched radio rom. Follow the instructions until it is finished.
Everything was fine up to here!
Note that you can also skip step 6. and proceed with step 7.
#6. Power off your Kaiser and insert a 'strange' SIM, i.e. a SIM from another provider than the one your phone is locked to.
After changing sim as per #6, it now says “Insert SIM card”. – not proceeded to stage #7 yet.
#7. Once Windows Mobile has booted up it will (usually after you have entered the usual 4-digit PIN) show a window called "Simlock" and a textbox where you can enter a 8-digit unlockcode. Now perform a soft reset by pressing the reset button *but* at the same time keep the camera button pressed. If you did it well you will be back in bootloader mode and you see the tri-color screen. The best technique is to press and hold the camera button first and then shortly press the reset button with the stylus.
Anyone got any ideas, as my phone now does not recognise either my original sim or my spare sim.
I see there are a number of people who have experienced this problem.
My phone is the MDA Vario 3 on T-Mobile.
I didn't take a note of the correct ROM reference, only the bottom line which was "P 1.56.110.4", so I wouldn't know which ROM to flash it back to at the end.
All other functions are fine. WiFi, GPS and all my settings. I now have an american keyboard, so lost the £ (£) sign.
It will not recognise either my UK T-Mobile sim or my UK 3 sim.

I tried with 6.0 and 6.1 !! HTC ROM, AT&T ROM dont work for me.

No success and i´ve tested lots of them!

I had exactly the same problem. Caused me a right headache, follow these steps:-
You are more than likely running 6.0 or 6.1 rom, you will need to downgrade first to a rom that's 5.xx first. Then run the Simunlocker and it will work and you will notice the icon to click "OK" on the sim entry screen will appear.
You can then reflash back to the rom that you are currently using, but I would suggest flashing dutty's rom as it's the best.
So to recap:-
1) Downgrade to a rom that's 5.xx first
2) Then run Simunlocker.
3) Then reflash to your current rom or Dutty's.
4) Might be wise to make a note of the radio version you are using as well and then reflash this again.

There is no such thing as a WM5 rom for the Kaiser. Your only choice is 6.0 or 6.1.

OK, I'm wrong on the 5x version (i'm a bit of a newbie). To clarify this I flashed Alex's rom to fix the problem (6.0). Quote from Simunlocker:-

Everythink works fine now!
To all people with same prob... download Alex's v4 UltraClean and MultiMedia ROMs for AT&T and HTC
then flash the Radio ROM 1.0 from Step 1...

Actually he is correct. I assume he's talking 5.0 CE Version, which indeed the standard WM6.0 Roms are. WM6.1 is CE OS 5.2.
That is the embeded CE version that WM is based upon.
CE 5.0 or 5.1 = WM6.0
< CE 5.2 = WM6.1

Phone problem after intalled WM 6.1

Hi everyone. My Smartphone is a DOPOD C500 (HTC S710). already installed official HTC ROM and everything work well. now i installed the Dr. Gonzo ROM WM 6.1 but have a problem. Installation work well without problem but sometime phone function stop to work. Windows work but cant get and cant make calls. If some one try to call me can he hear ringtone (tuuu... tuuu ...) in the line but my mobile is silent and no get call. if i try to make a call ... i cant digit number but when push gren button or call button ... nothing happen.
If reboot ... everything start to work right again.
any solution?

what about an hard reset and trying to update the radio?
I had the same problem when I upgraded to 6.1 and after hard reset everything was solved

My Radio is 4.1.13.54_03.10.90 ... i think already the new one.
I just finish hard reset .... i'll wait and use one day to check if prob is solved in this way. Tnks

Please report back what your result is.. If the problem persists i think i will stay with the shipped rom..

Everything perfect after hard reset

after few days workin well ... this morning cant call cant send and get sms ... cant get call too ..
i'll back WM6 till 6.1 will be better implemented

HD2 freez

good afternoon guys! i have a strange problem on my HD2. if the phone is in stanby and i receive a call without answer and i press the right button to restore the device from standby, the screen is black and i need to restart the device with softreset button...
do you know why?

Which ROM did you install on the device? Hadn't you done the 1.66 upgrade yet?
Apart from this, I was thinking that you posted your message in the wrong place........ Your matter is a ROM bug one, not an app/theme one, you should've posted it in the HD2 general room

this 1.66 ROM 's been supposed to be bugged since the day it was come out. HTC uploaded it without making sure it worked properly, I think. They should've tested it much longer instead.
I would recommend you to try another ROM, a cooked ROM obviously. Have a glance on the ROM room and then you can decide what to do. You're going to get all information in order to download and flash your device.
I personally recommend you to install the Duttythroy 1.8 ITA ROM, take a look on www.htcpedia.com, you'll find a link for downloading it there.

sorry but i need to update again.... same problem. from standby when i press again the button to restore from the standby, the phone doesn't wake-up and i need to reset again to restore... htc support said to take the phone to support for see what happened.
so now i restore the default rom (for take phone to htc support)...

there is problem with your ROM. you just need to update your ROM from HTC website.

Is the Facebook app set to be updated automaticaly? (in contact tab, not the WM Facebook app)
If so, you could try to disable it, then do a soft-reset, and let me know if it's still freezing. It worked for me, my HD2 doesn't freeze anymore. It might work for you.

Hi guys,
I have this problem too with the 1.66 rom.
After some reboot, some uninstall of progz etc...
I have found "my" problem: HD2Tweak! Damn!....
I uninstall it (2 months earlier), after that no more freeze with my 1.66 rom.
So I couldn't use HD2Tweak now.... No mather, I do the tricks manually.
There's a thread on the forum to do the tricks manually ;-)

I don't have HD2 tweak installed... but for now no freez but another problem... sometimes windows mobile show a message that file "filesys.exe had a problem" and if i close that message the phone is ok. but WHY?

Good morning guys! an update to my problems...
after reset, hard reset etc.. i decided to turn off HD2 during charge during night.
I never saw my problems again. No freez, no filesys.exe error. Battery with normal usage (from 7.30 am to 8.30pm) for e-mail, calls during day web browsing is better than before!
Is only mine? thank you for support.
