Just curious(and bored)but what roms can I use on my c600?
i-mate - what version?

I have tried the iPhone and Vista cooked roms.
Now I want to have a look at some other official roms,at least until the wm6 rom appears
if im not wrong you can use all tornado roms but those roms are very similar one with the other. (see i-mate,Qtek,HTC)
You can use all Tornado ROMS / C600 and Variants
Imate SP5/ SP5m
Qtek 8310/8300
Vodafone V1240
Dopod 577w
Orange C600
O2 XDA Phone
The only thing that will matter are the hardware keys and the Wifi option on the Comm Manager...
Try the official ROM 2.0.14.0 for C600.
I have tried the official Orange c600 rom.
But was just interested in what other roms were compatible.
I'm glad I've tried a few other roms just to what's possible with these phones.

there is no rom on dopod vip support. i also search on alot of forums. the only thing i can find is the sp5m rom on i-mate ftp. does anyone know/have/can get a CHT rom? (HK or TW doesn't matter)

Why not just get the Imate SP5m ROM upgrade; it works fine on the 8300.
the CIDs unlock is required and I don't like any experiments with CID.

What about the MEDIA keys? I guess I could just copy what I have on my current 8300 ROM and paste them into the Windows folder? Where did you find the 8310 ROM??
Anything else the 8310 ROM doesnt provide?
imate rom on qtek 8300

I installed the imate sp5m aku2 rom on my qtek 8300, so I could have a2dp. A2DP works fine, but I have noticed a drop in 1900mhz reception with the imate rom. Still works pretty well, but no signal in weak areas, where the qtek rom worked fine. Anyone else notice this?
I will switch to the qtek aku2 as soon as I can find it.

Not sure I understand your question. I loaded the SP5m ROM, which is the same phone as the 8300. The 8310 is the same as the SP5 and I don't have that ROM version. I think it is available via a link on this site...just do a search. With the Imate ROM loaded on the 8300, media keys work fine, etc. It seems a bit faster, so far, no issues at all.

but I am afraid to install it, because I am not sure what language it will install with. I have heard that it is supposed to be in several languages, including English, but I don't have the guts to try because I can't read any other language. If someone out there would try, I'd really appreciate it!

I got a XDA Neo with the original o2 Software installed. So I did a hardreset & softreset to get loss of the o2 stuff. I also tried other ROMs, i.e. the QTEK WWE or DOPOD WWE. But I'm still searching for a german ROM without a Branding, for example the QTEK Rom.
Yesterday evening I recognized that someone started to upload a german QTEK Rom on the FTP, but it's only 15MB

Is this possible? I'm considering purchasing the 2125 for my Father whos visitng for the summer from overseas and he has the i-mate SP3. He agreed only if he could have the I-Mate rom on it. So can i put the I-mate rom on the cing 2125? I noticed the hardware buttons are different, how will this effect its operation?

I will install the latest CING 2125 ROM to my O2 Xda phone. I am very happy. Becouse now i have 20 Mb of available storage.
What AKU does the new 2125 ROM have? How does it compare with the SP5m and Qtek 8300 ROMs?

latest cing rom (2.0.13.0) is aku 2.2... compared to aku 2.0 from imate and qtek

Has anyone tried the Cingular ROM on a Tornado device? Does wifi work? Does A2DP work?

i am new to all this, but i am looking for the latest rom for an imate jamin, which is (from what i have read) a htc prophet.
i am interested in putting the latest (unmodified) version of wm6 if possible, i have got a modified version on there atm, but i dont know if it is my mind playing tricks on me, but it just doesnt seem to work correctly.
otherwise what is the latest version of wm5
this is the first time of me modifying a phone, but i do know the basics of flashing devices, as i have been modifying psp for a few years now.

There is no 'official' WM6 ROM, as imate etc. have not bothered to create one. There are many WM6 (and WM6.1) ROMs floating around the forums, but these are modified versions of other phone ROMs (for exampl, korand 3.1 is based on a Kaiser ROM). This can lead to problems with the running of the ROM.
The FTP server has original (shipped) WM5 ROMs on it here or here.
