I have just developed a WWE WM6 rom on Prophet, would like to invite few beta testers.
Requirements:
1) you must know you need to flash aku2.x no vendor ID rom before any upgrading.
2) you must know to perform hard reset after flashing each rom
3) you must have experience of flashing other WM6 rom because I don't want to teach those stupid guys who keep on asking how to flash rom.
4) good at one of these languages: English, Chinese, Korean
As you can see my other threads on simplified chinese WM6 rom, it is 100% bug less and very stable.

Beta
I have a lot of experience B-T, actually get paid to do so. Question to you is if you know it's stable/bugless, that suggests it's past the beta phase.
op has said this is his beta english rom. and i can also understand not wanting to support the spooners but thats what the community is for though as well but hey we shall see
are you guys don't know what is PM? PM means private message!
some stupid guys PM me saying that they would like to be the beta rom tester but they didn't write their Email address or MSN ID as I've requested in my post.
one guy even thought my WWE beta rom is bugless, I just said my CHS rom is bugless. not the WWE one, therefore I said WWE one is a beta!
reflashing as i write this scott. will give ya a report shortly. just downgrading to the nvid rom. will be able to update more tomarrow.
ok flashed it 2 times and a no go. sits at the windows mobile screen and never moves out of it. have tried hard resetting and flashing back the nvid rom then upgrading again. going back to smart1 1.3 for right now. let me know scott if others have had success. BTW i am running g3

Faria did an awesome job on the latest AKU3.2 RC1 ROM for the Wizard.
Since he doesn't own the device he won't be able to give support for the Prophet. I was wondering if somebody would be willingly to volunteer and take the support for the Prophet users on his/her shoulders
If there is somebody working on it please let me know. Then we can shut down this topic again
Faria is very active in the Wizard section. Just for his sake I'm asking everybody not to bother Faria about this ROM for the Prophet, since he is already busy enough answering all the questions for the Wizard users!
Also don't ask questions (yet) about CID unlocking etc. Since this will only be relevant if somebody "converted" the ROM for Prophet use

I test this ROM on Prophet - very fast (I replace Battry/Camera/WiFi/BT drivers)
You use mamaich tools or other?

I asked Dutty if he was interested in taking a look - he wants to know the OS version and build numbers before deciding if it's any better than the one he's working with....
Go to Start | Settings | System tab | About - make a note of the line that starts "CE OS......" and post it back here please

i'll walk you through the dump process. i personally dont like ported roms since they where never really ment for the kaiser. you can email me [email protected] and ill walk you through please post the build numbers though as i would like to see them

Also got a tytn2 from orange (uk) at the end of last week and this is the exact same as what I got
who will post that room? i cant keep waiting LOL Common XDA's

Managed to dump the ROM with pencilcase's help (Thanks mate much appreciated). The RAW files are been uploaded and I'll leave it to the experts to reconstrcut it

Hi all,
I just followed instructions and created a rom of my unbranded Kaiser with a Dutch windows mobile on it.
I'm hoping somebody is willing to load this on his/her device to see if it's working.
Reason I ask is that I would really like to start experimenting with this cooking stuff, but if I need to return in for warranty, I need to return it with a Dutch windows mobile on it, looking really standard like I bought it. And looking at the instructions on how to do that, I'll end up with a base English HTC Shipped rom. That's not an option I guess so I dumped my own one and created a new rom.

Dude, don't worry the Read me that comes with the Dr.Gonzo's ROM is self explanatory... And Dear, when i tried it for first time, I screwed my VOX too...But then a little patience and VOX wiki..I am up there with my VOX on WM 6.1..ANd now you can see my Signature, i love trying beta ROMsss.. Just in case anything happen to ur phone, give me a buzz at [email protected] may be i can be of some instant help to u... And i bet my life...Senior members on this forum are always ready to help ppl like us...So go ahead and try it..

there is no official WM6.1 ROM update for S710 ANYWHERE.
you can try the WM6.1 ROM by Dr.Gonzo, it is very good. It does have some minor glitches but a new user like you won't notice it for a while.
and yes this forum will help you if anything goes wrong, but before you do anything please read the wiki completely and when flashing follow ALL instruction(every single line) carefully. ALL!
You would like the WM6.1 rom.
and one more thing....
download the official 1.34 ROM also(its on the FTP),
then in case you screw it up while flashing, you will have the original ROM to fall back on.

Hi all, I recently bought HTC s710 and I love there are some queries see if anyone can guide me :
1. If I flash my device with WM 6.1 can i get the original OS by hard reset?
2. If I flash the device will i lose my warranty which is one year ?
3. If i spoil my device is there a way to restore original OS so that repair people do not come to know that I have flashed my device.

1). If you flash WM6.1 or ANY ROM, you can not restore to the original ROM by hard reset. You will need to re-flash it.
2). Technically, yes you will lose warranty, however...
3). Patched USPL can be used so you can always restore the original factory/OEM ROM and still use your warranty should you have any hardware issues.
In short, I would not hesitate to flash WM6.1 due to those questions you have. The first thing I did when I got my S710 was flash a patched SPL and unofficial ROM.

XDA should force a reply to each sticky'd Wiki before posting rights are granted, until then only read should be applied to the account. Perhaps I will bring it up with a mod.

It's possible, the C4 forums have it in place on vBulliten 3.7.1, but I am sure they require it more than XDA does.
It would be better to require a certain amount of posts before you can start a new thread. Meh. I don't think it's that much of an issue anyways. I am sure if it was, something would be in place already.
Update error
I downloaded Dr.Gonzo's Monalise v1.0 and finished all the steps in the how-to and Readme. During the final Flash.exe, it is saying ERROR [270] : UPDATE ERROR. The image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility.

I did that too. Same error Update Error 270. Image file corrupted. Only the batch file executed correctly after the application unlocking.
for all those on XT in NZ HTC has releases the 6.5 rom for telecom nz! about friggin time, but i suppose late is beter than never, will post my conclusion on wether the upgrade is worth it soon.

good link, but NZ users will get it easier by visiting the HTC support site,
All in all its nothing NEW, @ all, just a slightly revamped 6.1, fixes sum bugs, and includes The Market Place, I kinda wish i could get around the security on the NZ-HTC SNAPP kuz i would want a more aesthetically pleasing OS like the custom cooked roms.
But all in all the rom is faster, and thats about it, nothing exciting at all,
Any nz users feel free to post your impressions as well

Freezes at 27%
Hi there. Total newbee here!
I have loaded Hard SPL 1.19 on the Snap and used a custom WM6.5 rom from 3VO but now when I want to go to the Offical WM6.5 ROM the updater freezes at 27% each time. I tried the Offical WM6.1 ROM and that works fine, but the WM 6.5 doesn't. Have tried the call centre but they are not the highly skilled, so I wondered if anyone else could help.
