good link, but NZ users will get it easier by visiting the HTC support site,
All in all its nothing NEW, @ all, just a slightly revamped 6.1, fixes sum bugs, and includes The Market Place, I kinda wish i could get around the security on the NZ-HTC SNAPP kuz i would want a more aesthetically pleasing OS like the custom cooked roms.
But all in all the rom is faster, and thats about it, nothing exciting at all,
Any nz users feel free to post your impressions as well

Freezes at 27%
Hi there. Total newbee here!
I have loaded Hard SPL 1.19 on the Snap and used a custom WM6.5 rom from 3VO but now when I want to go to the Offical WM6.5 ROM the updater freezes at 27% each time. I tried the Offical WM6.1 ROM and that works fine, but the WM 6.5 doesn't. Have tried the call centre but they are not the highly skilled, so I wondered if anyone else could help.
Thanks

The first excuseme for my bad English, I'm Spanish.
I bought an AT & T Tilt 110 in the USA and I want to know whether there was any problem when I install the official ROM HTC with WM 6.1. Can we recommend this or any other?

Looks like this is it...read a few posts in though. Looks like there is some stalling on the customization and any network configs you have to do.

Thats the official release. Our cooks posted their own recipe, using the official release as the base.
I wouldn't use it. Lots of issues.
And what used?
Thanks
There is nothing "OFFICIAL" about that (or any other "official" relase) YET.
I am not saying that there never will be, but the ones here that say OFFICIAL are NOT official.
If they WERE official, why would HTC or ATT or any other company make you use HardSPL? And why wouldn't they give HardSPL to you when they gave you the OFFICIAL ROM?
Can you IMAGINE the support requests with an official ROM that was missing the biggest element? The element being a way to INSTALL the ROM?
Think about it.

I use TxCaesar's wm6.1 Beta 2 and it's very stable, the are a few minor bugs so read up on those first, but not one bug has effected my usage.
I think you need to register to download, but it's worth it...
http://mobile.txcaesar.net/modules....wdownload&cid=2&min=10&orderby=titleA&show=10
go to the above link then look for "i607 WM6.1 Da_G Beta 2.rar", then follow instructions for upgrading your ROM, which can be found in the fourms on the same site.
Here's another wm6.1 rom.... I haven't tried this one yet...

Use the new Bogart roms by ejoya, also on the txcaesar site listed above. They are based off of the htc s740 rom, and run much faster.
showaco does the bogart rom work well?, does the video camera function work? any other major bugs? have you loaded caeser's before?

I'm happier with the bogart roms than with Da_G's roms. I ran Da_G 6.1beta2 for a long time, and just recently switched to ejoya's bogart roms. He has 4 different available and so far rev2 is the one I like. Video does work but you can check at txcaesar's for the lowdown on all the bugs(very few in my opinion). There's a couple of threads dealing with them.

not for i600...i607 only. it will brick your i600.
Starca has a few roms out that are newer, the latest one is BJC ROM 4.3mr1 i think there faster than ejoya's. and if you combine it with Showaco's app's they get better. such as the WPC, feather weather, file changer, just to name a few.
let me clear this up, Starca has a few rom's for the I607... Nokser is working on a wm6.1 for the I600, as i'm sure you already know this by now.
hey guys, the link is dead for wm6.1 for i607... can anyone re upload the files to rapid share by any chance? is there a mirror for all this info?

Hello, I bought this phone (Samsung i607) for my wife and it has WM 5.
Is this 6.1 rom a simple update? is it a light version?
She needs the most basic usage of the phone but I thought some benefits of 6.1 could be helpfull... is it ok for this phone or is it too much and better to leave 5?
Thanks!
EDIT: if 6.5 is lighter/more stable it would work also.... which one is better for this phones small screen?

py8's 6.5 rom is more of less bare bones. but being that it's 6.5, it will need to use more ram than 6.1. but the 6.1 i'm hosting isn't a light version it does have some 3rd party apps on it. but both do not have the att blot, the cookers took all that out. both starca's and py8's roms have around 25M free.
thanks
great thanks!
is 6.5 a "nice expierence" for that size of screen?

I have been using the Bogart edition (WM6.1_BE rev4 final.nb0.bin). How does starca's rom compare to the Bogart edition? I haven't had any problems with the Bogart rom and it has nice extras. I was expecting it to be buggy because of it's unofficial status but that hasn't been the case.

There is no official WM 6.5 update for the TyNT II. All the 6.5 roms you see on this site are cooked (unofficial ) roms. To use one of them read here:

But again , anryl and josh are just using builds based on leaked beta versions of 6.5, not official versions or even official beta versions. M$ can only hope their final version is as cool as anryl's or josh's.

I was one of the first guys to flash Josh's roms when he came here from Hermes, and have flashed and used every one since. Problem is I hate Titanium, and I love Manila. And Reza IMHO, does Manila better than anybody.
But that is not to say that I don't appreciate people ( josh and anryl ) who are the best at things I don't prefer.
I like the ROM I installed this morning
I spent all day yesterday getting educated. I read and read, and then I tried and I bricked my phone a few times. But because I kept reading, I finally figured out mskip's instructions on Flashing your First ROM. I love XDA developers, and I love my new ROM. Now that my TILT is unlocked, there's no limit to what I can load on it. A rom a day keeps the boredom away

I contacted HTC about the stock rom on the X7510. That is slow etc. And if there would come other rom version or upgrade etc.
They told me to look up on the HTC site somewhere around oktober. That is going to take a while. But hey. Better something, then nothing at all.

You'll probably find that the cooked ROMs shared in this forum are streets better than what HTC will bring out. All those little extras which our able chefs cook into their ROMs will not be in HTC's new ROM.

Coocked rom's bether idd but. There still yet are 2 versions build by Michy. the 6.1 i got installed now. And works like a charm. And the 6.5 version that is still to buggy but looks good. I hope there wil be more roms pritty fast.

No for warenty iseu you can put spl back. Read the top post that is about hardspl etc.
Hello from a long time XDA lurker. I finally purchased my first HTC manufactured device, a Palm Treo Pro, and want to flash a WM6.5 ROM, but after days of searching, have not found any instructions on how to actually flash the ROM. I'm assuming i have to flash HSPL first, but them what? Can somebody help me out?
Hello
Well first yes do Hard-SPL (This one is GSM Devices Only).
Note:If you have a CDMA Version than check out this site for the right ROMS & Hard-SPL
Second there are a Few Roms out there, try some and see wich one you like better. here is a link to some.
Note: To flash the rom, click on the Custume RUU and follow the Steps, (pretty much the same way you flashed Hard-SPL).
GSM Treo Pro ROM WM6.5 build 21857
Heechee's TreoPro GSM 28014 Rom WWE Full & Naked
Also check this forum Acidhax made some GSM versions
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=138
Here are some Screen Shots of the RUU screen, Just Follow the On Screen Steps & check the Boxes to be able to hit next. Hope this helps .
Thank you for the in-depth reply. It was exactly what I was looking for. Ill try to cook some ROMs and upload them on this forum.

Sprint has an official CDMA 6.5 ROM for the Palm Treo Pro, only if there was a GSM 6.5 ROM that was stable for the Palm Treo Pro.
I won't upgrade my Palm Treo Pro to 6.5 because I can see so many issues on the forum's and I cannot find a stock english 6.1 GSM ROM.
On the other hand, the O2 Atom was very easy to upgrade, and very stable.
