How to Restore Voicemail Speed Dial - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

I was working with Faria's new wm6 rom and the restore speed dial and contacts utility it has.
Some how I ended up with NO speed dials at all.
I can reenter all except position No. 1.
How to I restore the original speed dial number and position ??
I tried the operator config but no dice

In phonepad ...press menu->then options-> then press "services"
tab-> then select "voiceMail and text messaging"-> then click
"get settings"->change your voicemail and txt message service center
number. After adding voicemail # then your #1 key should let you dial
your voicemail by press/hold #1 key.

Thanks but I tried that already.
I even did it again to be sure.
But did not work.
#1 does not dial and there is no #1 i speed dial.
#2 is the first avaliable number.

Any progress on this one ? I have same problem

And even I HAVE #1 as Voicemain but there is NO phone number associated So when I press/hold "1" NOTHING happens.

Similar issue on WM5
I rebuilt my contacts database and during the clear-down process the #1 speed-dial has disappeared.
Its not listed in the speed-dials and is not offered as an option when adding a new speed-dial
I tried sending a new number to the network, which the network recorded, but it didn't create a speed-dial in #1 at all
Any ideas ?

I deleted pim.vol to clear out contacts, calendar, etc. database prior to re-syncing with Outlook and now I have the same problem.
Has anyone resolve the issue in restoring the Voicemail Speed dial #1 without doing a hard reset?

Prefix dialing and dialing rules

I'm looking for the ability to contact certain people using prefxes such as international access numbers, pin numbers, suffex dialing for extensions, etc without having to edit each contact manually (i.e. entering commas for hard pauses and what not). If you manually edit contacts for automatic dialing sequences they lose their original formating and so you run into problems with caller ID and sms functionality. For example if you have an x number of contacts whose numbers begin with the same international access number it will get confused and think all the contact entries are the same.
A program like this could also support other dialing prefixes such as *67 for anonymous calling, (11) + 10-digit phone number for direct voicemail calling. It can also be used to setup automatic dialing sequences for those who need to access voice mails on other numbers, so no and so forth.
Up until now I have only been able to find one program that supports this for WM2003 (MyPrefixDial), but I don't think it works for WM5. There's only one prefix dialer called long distance dialer for WM5 but it's too basic of a program.
Anyone have plans or know of plans the development of a more complete program? I currently find that there are more applications for the Palm OS interface, which I find rather strange...any other ideas on the subject?

Delete Voicemail button from SpeedDial Today

I'm using 750v. As per the subject, is there any way to delete the VoiceMail button when using the Speed Dial today plugin. I rarely use it and it take precious screen estate.
Patch has already been made. Can't remember the thread, you'll have to search.

That only allows to edit the voicemail number. The problem with this is that whenever I move around into and out from UMTS area (i.e. the signal goes from UMTS to GSM and vice versa) the Voicemail phone number reverts back to '+'. To change it back to my telco actual no, I have to redit the registry key as above.
I've searched the forum looking for the patch as mentioned by Vijay but I could not find the thread/post. Anyone has the pointer how to delete the Voicemail button from the SpeedDial today plugin?
For good measure, change
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Palm\Varnish\SpeedDialPlugin\VoiceM ail\Deletable
to 1 as well.
Then immediately go to the Speedial options, Change the Voicemail and select a contact with a Photo, change to a Picture speed dial.
Unless you don't use Picture speeddials.... then this won't help.

This is really simple. Just uncheck Speed Dial in the Today/Items setup. You still get speed dial function even if the speed dial buttons are not visible.
Voicemail & Speeddial #1
Voicemail & Speeddial #1
OK Goodnews/Badnews
I can now edit my speeddial #1.
Through mistake of the former at&t they had to upgrade my account and match the former at&t rate plan and unlimited mediamax at 19.95 on the new at&t side.
I have been running a Treo 750v with WM6 AT&T rom.
So after adding the 3G AT&T SIM card now I am able to edit the #1 voicemail slot. It seems that the New AT&T sim card is playing nice with the AT&T rom.

Somebody knows how to delete VOICEMAIL button on WM6 ?
this used to work with the WM5 but I've tried it with the WM6, it's working. It's not letting me edit it.
So as of now with WM6, there is no way to remove the voicemail button from the speed dial plug in?
Okay one thing I found that seems to work reasonably:
Use regedit:
\HKLM\Software\Palm\Varnish\SpeedDialPlugin\Voicemail\Editable = 1
\HKLM\Software\Palm\Varnish\SpeedDialPlugin\Voicemail\EditableNumberOnly = 1
Then you should be able to edit the number of the voicemail.
Set EditableNumberOnly to 0, and you can edit the name, additional digits, quickkey etc. So between the two settings you can change Voicemail to whatever you want.
Just can't delete it or assign a contact to it.
hmmm...thanks
will try this one out...

Set speed dial number 1

Hello !
Do you know how to configure the speed dial number 1 in WM6 ?
Setting the other numbers is not a problem. But for number 1, there is a problem: the setup does not allow you to change it.
Chris
Good question .
I have noticed where the speed dials settings are stored !
They are stored in the database 'pim.vol', in the table 'speeds'. I have noticed that with SKTools, but SKTools only allows you to view the database, you can not change it. Does anyone know how to modify this table ?

Speed dial #1 is designed to be used for voice mail. If you want to change it, goto Start/settings/personal tab/phone/services tab/voice mail and text messages and click get settings. Change the number for voice mail and click OK. It will most likely say it couldn't save the settings and to try again later. Ignore that, the speed dial #1 is now set. Open your dialer and press and hold 1, it will dial your #1 speed dial number now. Or you goto phone/speed dial and select #1. it works either way although the name will be displayed as Voicemail in the speed dial screen
10x but this is not for Windows Smartphone version.
I don't see this tabs in Settings.

You are right, it should work that way. I followed your instruction, I also had the warning popup when setting up the voicemail phone number:
"Cannot save your changes to the network. Try changing settings later, or disconnect data connection and try again."
I have no other choice than, clicking on Cancel, but I can see that the voicemail number is saved. But there is still no number 1 in the speed dial
I have WM6 Professional (a touch screen)

Go into the phone application -
choose menu/options...
select services tab at the bottom
select Voice Mail and Text Messages and press the Get Settings button
make sure the Voice Mail: box has the correct number for your network's voice mail access.

[Q] Dialer Issue: Certain contacts have a random string of numbers ahead of them

I asked this in the Nexus 5 forums, but it may not be a specific hardware related problem
I've gone in and edited contacts and and on the 5 in question its just their area code and phone number as it should be and no addition info in the other fields. However when I call them, it says calling:15627245362718..followed by their actual area code and telephone number.
The call goes through although on these contacts but there's a delay before it starts ringing. Any idea where this string of numbers could be coming from? BTW, its the same string ahead of each contact.
did a factory reset. Same issue. I downloaded the factory image for 5.0.1 and installed. Its still happening. I deleted all my conacts from contacts.google.com and manually re added them. It still happens. But not every call. I can call a contact and it says dialing 1+area code+ number. Then the next time the string of numbers shows up.
