Impossible to change extended Rom - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 Software Upgrading

Hi,
I was used to customized my extended rom, i had a French SPVM600 rom.
I recently move to the last qtek rom, but now even if i try to unlock and customized my extended rom. After the hard reset all changes in the extended rom are gone and the E.R. go back to factory default.
Does anybody know to allow me again to customize my extended rom.
Thx for the help
Herc.

Extended rom read/write

Hi there,
I have been following the wizard forum and have both enjoyed and benifited from what you have posted on here. You are all doing a great job.
I have an issue with extended rom.
I am running farias latest wm6 rom on a g3 T-Mobile wizard (vario)
I have upgraded my gsm to 02.69.11 and so far again no problems.
When I unlocked my extended rom with the available rom unlocker again no problems.
I can flash the extended rom with pre built roms, have built my own roms using the ext_rom kit and all seems fine untill I try to write to the extended rom direct from pc or phone. Is this because I cannot write to the config file with the changes or another reason. I have read else where you can erase/write to the older o2 ext rom is it just because the wm6 rom is newer and my hardware is newer? All i get is the usual corruption, illegible characters etc
Thanks for reading and if there is anything I can do to help the cause let me know as I am enjoying the new skills/knowledge I am gaining through rom cooking etc
Paper
My understanding is that the extended rom unlocker doesn't work. It unhides, but does not "unlock" the extended rom for writing. The extended rom can only reliably be written to by "flashing".
Regards,

Stupid Question

This is probably a stupid question, and I think I already know the answer, but I'm going to ask anyway. I have a G3 Cingular 8125 (Wizard). If I upgrade to a WM6 rom, what will happen if I do a hard reset? Will I revert back to my original rom, or will it reset with the upgraded rom? Also, is there anywhere to download the original Cingular rom in case I ever need it (for customer service or something)? Thanks!
it will reset to ur upgraded rom/
you can download the original cingular ROM at
http://www.htcamerica.net/support/8125/software-downloads.html
So if I upgrade to WM6 and don't like it/whatever, I can go back to origional with that ROM?
yes, you can.
So which ROM is the most stable, straight up WM6 rom? It doesn't have to have a bunch of extra stuff. If I want the extras, I'll install them.

you can do it yourself with any rom, just run total Commander then type extended rom, will opened then install the known cabs.
because many of extened roms contain fix cabs for its origional rom, you can't install all because these fix cabs will cause some issues with your new rom.

i don't think there a custom rom enable extened rom running because they don't want to install other roms extened rom.
so, you have to do it yourself.

Has anyone extracted the O2 Roms yet?

As the title suggests?
I will be hard-SPLing my Stellar (when I swap my faulty one) and installing a custom ROM, but would obviously like the option to revert to stock if needed and if someone has already got the roms it'll save me a job.

[Q] hard reset after installing cooked ROM

Total NOOB question: I've installed a cooked ROM, and can't find it on my hard drive. If I do a hard reset, does this reinstall the most-recent, cooked ROM, or the stock schlock?
Specs:
htc Tilt 2 (was tf3d, now Sense 2.5 )
WinMo 6.5
flashed nrgz's energyRom 12911_2011
TNQ #2: I can't find Task Manager, or get it to load in the top right corner of the taskbar.
TNQ #3: I deleted all settings for Att.ISP connection. Any way to restore/manually re-create them?
Edit: just answered TNQ #3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=362586
after flashing a new (custom) rom the hardreset wont return to the stock rom.
you always get back to the state after flashing rom.
