NEED: Push-Mail Service that has Exchange 2007 - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario ROM Development

I have been searching all over ... no luck. Anyone know of a push-mail Provider that has exchange 2007 aka html-emails for WM6 support? I would be happy to pay for that...

Hi Pencilcase,
You can try Mail2web.com
I´ve been an user and they are now using Exchange 2007!
And the best thing is that you can have all for FREE!
Regards.

actually they dont use 2007 check the details on the accounts its all exchange 2003 sp2

Pencilcase is right. I do use mail2web myself and do not get html emails.
As stated above, they mail2web currently uses exchange 2003 sp2.
Give it time and maybe they upgrade will come.

planning
I am running exchange2007 now..
And the search funktion rocks.. on my mobile.
I am planning to rollout exchange 2007 in a datacenter (i am a freelance systemadministrator) and sell accounts.
Starting from 119 euro a year (200 Mb mailbox)
179 euro a year (600MB mailbox)
279 euro a year (1,5 gig mailbox)

liveoffice.com has Exchange 2007 and they use Secure Computing IronMail for spam control.
sherweb.com according to their press release http://sherweb.com/en-usd/page_exchange1010.html says everyone will have an upgrade to 2007 after it's released. Just make sure it's up and running right now. They also throw in 200MB of SharePoint hosting and 100MB of public folders. According to a sales rep I emailed they use Barracuda for spam control.
IronMail and Postini won Gartner's magic quadrant for controlling spam. Postini is a hosted service while IronMail is maintained on site. http://www.securecomputing.com/index.cfm?skey=1608
So far liveoffice.com is the only one to mention they partner with Secure Computing. I've been searching for Exchange or IMAP providers that use either Postini or IronMail.

Yep! You are right for sure! I haven't noticed they are using 2003!

WM6 with Exchange 2007
I have an unlimited storage account on http://www.exchangemailhosting.com hosted by Exchange 2007. My WM6 MB Edition rocks with this service (HTML mail, search mailbox, search contact, etc).

Maybe it is something the ROM cooker did, but I'm running WM6 MBE and I have HTML email on my IMAP account. So why would it be any different on an Exchange 2003 account? Or is it just a cooker bonus?

I'm talking about push-email not a normal pop/imap account ....

Sync with Exchange 2000

Hello,
I would like know if is possible sync my p. outlook directly with my exchange 2000.
I know that with exchange 2003 is possible because i've the OMA.
Thanks for your help.
Fabio Gamer
Nope. Exchange 2003 has the features for Mobile sync when Exchange 2000 doesn't.
OK tks.
Actually, you can with Exchange 2000. I forget the package name, but it's no longer sold anyway. I've never used it, nor am I sure of how well it actually worked either.

HTML mail with exchange server

I've got WM6 (faria real thing) and the option to switch to HTML from plain text is grayed out in the pocket outlook options. Is this one of the features that requires exchange 2007 to work? Anyone else been able to get html working in poutlook?

Ah another reason to upgrade. Thanks
I confirrm that....
Yep.... I can confirm that. I had to upgrade to Exch 2k7 at home after I upgraded my wizard to WM6. no HTML email with 2k3. Honestly though, HTML email is nice but if this is the only reason you need/want 2k7 you might wanna do a bit more research first. High hardware reqs and disaster recovery is a pain.
Especially with the need for x64 hardware! Huge expendure!!
@ doedoe
Yeah... I mean on my home env I am running everything on a late Athlon64FX with 3GB of RAM. So far, so good but I am only serving up AD, exchange, and Web goodness for 9 people. Beyond that, anything at the enterprise level will require a whole new server inf. for the most part.
This is the reason that we are still on Exch 2k3 here at work with XOsoft. Clustering got a whole lot better with 2k7 but man, expensive as all he*(*.
If you have WM6....
And live enabled...
Get a free 2 gb hotmail live account and have free uncomplicated access to

Less hasseles and expense!

As a workarround you can use IMAP to connect to exchange 2003 and have HTML mail. I use it that way and it works perfect for me.

Push email (O2 UK)

I have my polaris setup with my @o2.co.uk email account and it works well. Instead of setting outlook to check for new messages every 30 mins or so I would like to get push email working. What do people recommend? In the comm manager, the microsoft push email option is greyed out
Thanks
Allan
I'm hoping to use push with Exchange 6.5, is this viable over O2?
Push emails are only available on exchange 2003 onwards, as it's a microsoft technology. You can use push emails with a windows live account using the windows live program

o2.co.uk only supports POP3 email protocol which is not compatible with Push email. Only the MS Exchange protocol supports Push.
You can setup O2 email to auto-forward to an MS Exchange acount if you have one available.
If you don't have MS Exchange already you could look at BT Business Email (£7.50 + VAT per month) or mail2web.com Personal Exchange (€4.95 per month).
Or you could use Emoze - free for personal use
Works well on my TC
Why don't you use HTC mail? easy set up in less than 2 minutes and you can access all your POP3 IMAP mail as well.

I had a look at emoze but I cant find a version to push pop3 for the HTC range. When I go to the website all of the phones avaiable for pop3 push are Nokias, an LG and a Samsung.
just access the mobile emoze site (m.emoze.com) and you be able to download the client. another option is to use mobipush it doesn't install any client uses activesync.
I use mail2web. You just forward all your other email accounts to it, and they appear in your mail2web account which is push email. There is a free version of this, and it's very good. That's the one I use. Been using it for over 6 months without a hitch.

Yes my dear we have "lotus v 7".
Regards
I might be completely off on this one, but it is my understanding that you need an e-mail service running on MS Exchange Server to support Push Mail on the Windows Mobile platform (e.g. mail2web.com or emoze.com). I don't think Lotus can be used in place of MS Exchange Server.

I think you are correct. I believe Lotus users need to install a 3rd party solution for push email. I could be wrong though.
Yep we use lotus notes at work and its a complete nightmare. There's a lot of 'workarounds' but I've not found anything reliable. The fact that I can't sync my data as well as I could with Outlook is putting my off getting another windows mobile phone.
Seven software has a product that lets you do push from a Domino-based mail server but it requires software to be installed on either your Domino server OR on your desktop. If you install it on your desktop, then you can only get mail pushed while your PC is logged into the network. It's called a "workgroup connector". It works great, but it isn't quite a simple as if you had a Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or OWA accessible mail server. If your Domino instance does have POP3, then you don't need that, and and can simply use the phone software.
Check here for more info:

Download link at top will net you the software.
The Domino forums are here:

Seven is otherwise great software. Works like a charm.
Kerio Emailserver has activesync enabled, and is superior to Exchange.

Check the first link in my post above. Its for Seven software. It works like Blackberry for alot of different accounts and is simply awesome IMO.
What type of account are you trying to push mail from?
I got my orbit 2 yesterday and don't know how to make it talk to my exchange. any ideas?
To the people using push email... how much time your battery works.
I just bought a polaris one week ago, and if I activate push email my battery deads after around five to six hours.
The same happens with my previous phone (an N95).
I wonder if this feature is really usable at all.

Mail2Web HTML Web Question ?

On WM6.1 when i configure mail2web push email I cannot see the html mails properly whereas in iphone it displays properly.
Is there any thing we can do about this ?
anybody .....
Unfortunately it's not possible to get HTML e-mail with mail2web. HTML e-mails require Microsoft Exchange Server 7, and mail2web is running earlier version of it. They do, however run 7'th version for paid accounts, I think.
