Already working on this in beta

Better to continue here indeed
I've downloaded the file and noticed that it's not an EXE like other updates. Believe you even have to install it from SD-Card.
If there is anything somebody can help with, just let us know

From the first look, it will be tricky, it's missing things in the OS
however, It might be possible to get drivers for the missing parts from other ROMs (AKU 3.2 or official 2.2)
I will post progress in this thread

jesterz, if you do cook us up a rom can you use the official qtek as the base rather than pdamobiz, all those roms you did based on that one have been rock solid.

I couldn't find info if there is a difference between the Dopod 818Pro and Dopod 818. If there even are two different types? But it seems to me that the Dopod 818 (pro?) is yust another Prophet, so the answer would be: Yes

i need flash my current rom
so i'm waiting aku3.3 althrough

this is going to be a hard one people
the buildimage stops on certain dll files, so it's a one by one process
meaning it will take time ! (I have a full time job next to this....)
however i'm still trying
In the mean time, I'm also looking at farias ROM released for the wizard and hope to have a beta out soon for the prophet.

i have Prophet_2007 update Full N2N (20-02-2007) and it looks great for me... i dont have 'verificated' a 'big' bug yet...

Hi, guys, couple of questions here, and thanks a lot for any input in advance.
1), are these three version WWE?
2), can these ROMs install on my CID LOCKED G4 prophet (mine is a XDA Neo, now with QTEK 2.20 WWE ROM)?
3), Does these rom contain ext-rom? If not, how can I get ext-rom installed? (I would like to install the QTEK ext-rom IF ext-rom is not included in those 3 WM6 ROMs.)
4), Do this ROM remember wifi and bluetooth profiles after reset? I heard some WM6 ROM had this bug before. Bluetooth is really important for me, esp. the A2DP support.
5), I heard that with some previous WM6 ROM, you can hear the sound from the speaker AND headphone at the same time, has this bug been fixed in these 3 ROMs?
6), any other known issues or bugs remain in those ROMs?

How to make a O2 orbit WM6 Rom work for the prophet?

Hi,
o2 germany released a few days ago a WM6 Rom for the XDA Orbit: http://www.o2online.de/nw/support/downloads/software/xda/xdaorbit/index.html
The Xda Orbit has the same specification like the Prophet + an integrated gps-mouse.
i didn`t tried to flash, because i think that the update will recognize that my device is not an Orbit and i don not want to brick my device.
will a nvid-version of this rom work with the prophet?

sorry, but i don't understand you question!

I don't know much of the difficulties or lack of, in porting these roms but I suspect it will involve more than just the vender id. You're right, the specs are pretty much the same though. Wasn't there some updater or something for the wizard which let you use any rom? I might have dreamt or imagined it, but have some memory of people using it for prophet with wizard or some other roms, and having problems with buttons, or something? Anyone remember that.

Pandora is using 5.2.1413, however it's not "perfect". If you want a good one, stick to Xplore 2.0, Crossbow Reloaded, or Faria's setup. The bleeding edge ones might leave you just that...

I won't go back to wm5. I stick with stable wm6 roms (as opposed to more bleeding edge ones) and while they all have quirks, I've found them more reliable than official wm5 releases and faster. Aku 3.3 was also very good but apps in those builds are getting dated.

Here, the Mobile OS are otherwise termed as ROM. Since this device is a phone + PDA, it needs something called Radio (software for phone) + the ROM (Which is the OS WM6.0 or 6.1). There are popular programmers here called Chefs and they re-build the official release of WM6.0 / 6.1 with new skins and tweaks which are usually pretty fast in performance and looks much better than the original that comes with your phone. There are also lots of free software’s available here. (Please not the term 'cab' is nothing but a executable / installable software in the phone)
So, start with the link I provided. Once you read them and understands them.. then start flashing (means installing) the ROM's from our popular Chefs.. I like Dutty's (the persons nick name) and Alex's ROM.

Do you know WM 8.2 is coming at the end of May or the beginning of June? This version has ATI Driver included, Bugs Free (Get Bugs for Free), most importantly this new rom can get you some nice cold drink.
