this is a new product from htc.com and if you like to charge the battery and listen to your music at the same time is best , i have just ordered one and is about £9 + postage
i have no idea why htc dont install seperate headset to the charger as its a pain but i think this would do the job now and you can also use ordinary headsset 3.5 plugs
good luck

Hi there,
I used to use a SonyEricsson Bluetooth Stereo thingy to listen to music and while the quality was decent (no skipping) the battery of the earphones doesn't last long enough to make this a good solution if you are on a long travel. The other problem is that you can't use bluetooth earphones on a plane.
So, since the HTC standard earphones are awful, I bought this adapter
http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=142091
and I am now using my Sennheiser earphones.
As you can see from other customers' comments this adapter is really crap and as soon as you touch it the sound becomes muffled and you need to readjust it so that the contacts work again. Basically you can't listen to music with the phone in your pocket.
So the question is: what is your solution to listen to music? Is the HTC wired remote reliable in terms of having good contacts with the body of the phone? Is there another adapter that has more stable contacts.
This is becoming a major drawback for me and I am not sure I want my next phone to have all the hassles that the HTC proprietary connector implies.
Thanks in advance!
A.
PS: I know there is another thread about this but my point here is that I don't care about having or not having a microphone, or what Expansys is selling.... I want to be sure that someone is using something with good results!!
I have a very cheap adapter with a short cable, found it on ebay.
Works flawless, as it has a cornered plug.

Thanks for your reply. It is indeed quite cheap so I will give it a try. I really hope the L-shaped plug works better!

I have just received the adapter from Hong Kong. It works great! No comparison with the one sold on Expansys. This one fits well into the USB socket and there's no problem with the sound disappearing when moving the phone.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I have the I.Tech Radio Clip
http://www.itechdynamic.com/en/products_spec.asp?cid=2&pid=02050
Works like a charm, no issues, and battery life on it lasts 6 hours, enough for me.
Best thing about it is the ability to skip music and pause and play music without taking your device out of your pocket or holster, bad thing is everytime you do, your device goes on and battery can drain if it doesn't switch of soon or other buttons may be pressed when it is on in your pocket or holster.
Another good thing is also the radio, and I know that it is just a perk, but good enough, if your sick of your songs, listen to the radio.
nice gadget
Does this work?
Just wondering if someone has tried charging the Vox (for example in a car) while trying to listen to music at the same time
Yes, you can charge the phoe and listen to the music at the same time in case you use an adapter 3in1. You can find them on eBay and also on the htc shop official page for about 12-15 euro. I have one and it works very well. It's also useful if you want to use another pair of earbuds: infact you can connect at the same time the original headset, a pair of standart earbuds with a 3,5mm jack and use the mini usb connection for sync or charge.
Thanks for the fast answer I'll get myself one of them right away.
Hi all!
Does anyone have a solution do put headphone and to charge the mobile phone at the same time ?
Thanks by advance for all your answer !
Uhm, i think you cant. Because they both need the same slot.
But there are video-adapters with charge-slot! so it might be possible

so this is what google brought up with "headphones charge htc"
eBay
there are adapters on eBay for just a few dollars. The have a 11pin headphone plug and 5pin charger plug. I have one of them and they are working very nice. Highly recommended.
Just look on eBay for a Diamond Adapter or something like that.

Got 2, works perfectly. Link will eventually die, search on ebay for "HTC USB STEREO"
this one is perfect:

Does anyone know where to get a copy of the ExtUSB cable that comes with the HTC Fuze? I can find cables that do the same thing, but I'm wondering if anyone could tell me where I can get a copy of the one that comes with the phone (I bought my phone from AT&T)? Thanks for your help.
V/R,
Kurt Nordman
extUSB is a std that htc invented which is pretty much normal miniUSB but plus audio
if you just need to charge and sync any miniUSB in one end normal usb in the other cable you can buy for a 1$ will do
expansys.com prob sell origital htc cables but unless you need audio as to a headset it's a waste of money
I'm more than sure than this has been asked before, But I've already looked at the forum and I found so many different models of car holders and blue-tooths that I already don't know which one might be the best one.
I'm looking for something nice hopefully minimalistic in design.
I already have a car charger with a double USB connector port so I'm looking only for the car holder and a good blue tooth device...
Thanks in advance to everyone, I know how annoying can it be to see some one asking something that it might have been answered before, really thanks.
I Hv the genius HTC desire HD car charger set (free with my phone) , it hold the phone well , only down size is I need to remove the TPU case every time I use it ...
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Do you have a link to look at it???
Thanks in advance
I use a brodit passive holder with the the specific pro clip for my car, just looks nice and part of the car. For Bluetooth I connect to the parrot add-on for my kenwood set, 1amp car charger I wired in myself. A bit of work but saves trailing cables over the dash.
The genuine brand HTC Desire HD holder is very capable and secure; Clicky You can use the cable with another 12v socket with USB output; Cable automatically activates the Car Panel, which is useful.
I have a Samsung WEP870 bluetooth headset; Comes with lanyard-equipped stereo headphones which you can plug in to the headset, giving you a solution for music too. Sound quality isn't great, but ok for a walk to the pub.
Thank you all I will take a look
do any of you have problems with the phone not being able to see the cable correct? sometimes mine on car dock see the cable as cable ion car sometimes as connect to pc and sometimes a charger, really weird
I got a universal 1 from Amazon, fits any size. Great purchase.
The Modern-Tech In-Car Dashboard Mount is also very handy to hold the phone on your car's dashboard. It's adhesive, you just have to set the phone on the mat and pull it off later. It's not so great for charging though.
Have you looked into HTC Desire HD Herbert Richter suction mounts?
Where can I look at those???
Here's the link.. Aesthetically, I love the way this particular one looks.
