I'm more than sure than this has been asked before, But I've already looked at the forum and I found so many different models of car holders and blue-tooths that I already don't know which one might be the best one.
I'm looking for something nice hopefully minimalistic in design.
I already have a car charger with a double USB connector port so I'm looking only for the car holder and a good blue tooth device...
Thanks in advance to everyone, I know how annoying can it be to see some one asking something that it might have been answered before, really thanks.
I Hv the genius HTC desire HD car charger set (free with my phone) , it hold the phone well , only down size is I need to remove the TPU case every time I use it ...

Do you have a link to look at it???
Thanks in advance
I use a brodit passive holder with the the specific pro clip for my car, just looks nice and part of the car. For Bluetooth I connect to the parrot add-on for my kenwood set, 1amp car charger I wired in myself. A bit of work but saves trailing cables over the dash.
The genuine brand HTC Desire HD holder is very capable and secure; Clicky You can use the cable with another 12v socket with USB output; Cable automatically activates the Car Panel, which is useful.
I have a Samsung WEP870 bluetooth headset; Comes with lanyard-equipped stereo headphones which you can plug in to the headset, giving you a solution for music too. Sound quality isn't great, but ok for a walk to the pub.
Thank you all I will take a look
do any of you have problems with the phone not being able to see the cable correct? sometimes mine on car dock see the cable as cable ion car sometimes as connect to pc and sometimes a charger, really weird
I got a universal 1 from Amazon, fits any size. Great purchase.
The Modern-Tech In-Car Dashboard Mount is also very handy to hold the phone on your car's dashboard. It's adhesive, you just have to set the phone on the mat and pull it off later. It's not so great for charging though.
Have you looked into HTC Desire HD Herbert Richter suction mounts?
Where can I look at those???
Here's the link.. Aesthetically, I love the way this particular one looks.

Is there any way to do this through the power slot (cigarette lighter)? Thanks.
No lol, you will need some sort of connection to your headunit (either via bluetooth [ad2dp] or usb or a line in or something else along those lines)
I use a fm-transmitter in my car for this, there are several different types of transmitters ( bt, cable ).
Just search for fm-transmitters for mp3 players.
Here are some options http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426599

The connector looks different, the one on the Diamond is flat on the left side and that one isn't?

Well, suprise, suprise.
Actually, the mini-USB connector fits Diamond connector though they may seem to be different.

the Mini-USB is exactly the same as HTC's variation, the only difference is the outside shape, the HTC one is cut down. Both fit perfectly.
for the car buy Parrot MK6000 , it's cheap an has a great stereo sound ...
i use the cassette adapter with a mini-usb to female 3.5mm stereo adapter... works great

I just received the FMtalk NT-039_DP (bought it from Ebay) and it DOES NOT charge the diamond when pluged in. The transmitter seems to work well. I have yet to try the phone with it.
I use one of those tape adapters connected to the HTC remote. Works really well as a hands free kit also. Bonus!!
first off beware of belkin just took my back fin horrible if any thing get a kensington hundred if not thousands of times better
I use the y cable which splits the mini usb on the bottom of the diamond to a 3.5mm plug and a mini usb. I then use a car charger into the mini usb to charge the phone while a 3.5mm to phono cable plugs into the back of my head unit, allowing for music, calls and sat nav to all go through the car speakers. Works well and the people say they can here me clearly when using it as a hands free kit.
i use the motorolla T505 acts as a speakerphone and fm transmitter
Hey guys,
Got a HTC Sensation, would like something which does
1. charge while in car
2. fm transmitter (I don't have bluetooth or aux in my car)
3. a holder in the car so I can use gps easier
I found this:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-5mm-FM...613695?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item1c1d79eb7f
Any thoughts??
Any other suggestions?
I'm in Australia.
Many thanks!
Since that one is a universal dock, it seems to charge from the bottom since most phones do. The problem with that is the Sensation's charge port is on the side.
Also, I'm very very picky about audio and FM transmitters nearly always produce static or some kind of white noise.
My solution/reccomendation for cars without an AUX port is to pick up one of these bad boys: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Car-cassette-Adapter-3-5mm-plug-/110650779646?pt=AU_Electronics_Portable_Audio_Accessories&hash=item19c34ce7fe
It's a cassette tape that provides you with an aux cable.
Then to cover your mounting needs, just get something like this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Car-Mount-Holder-Charger-HTC-Sensation-Incredible-S-/190560511133?pt=AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item2c5e4aa49d
And it even comes with a car charger.
If you are worried about wires and want this to be a stationary installation, use black zip ties.
If you have any questions or want other suggestions, let me know.
Thanks for the reply constrabus.
Problem is...I don't have a cassette player in the car.
I got something similar off of amazon a few years ago for my MT3G. The FM transmitter worked just fine. I now use it with my Sensation 4G, but my newer truck has an aux. jack so I don't use the FM anymore. The one I got plugs directly into the lighter jack and then I run a USB cable from the side into my phone. I have had it for several years without a problem. Go for it.
I have a fm transmitter with a 3.5 jack I plug it in and it doesn't go in all the way and only plays the left side. Same thing on my EVO but on my transform it goes all the way in and plays both sides. Any ideas on how to fix it.

Got it and very happy. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-AS111-Fidelio-Docking-Smartphone/dp/B005LB9GQM
Wow! What's it like?
Please post a mini review! And some pics!
Cool! Got it online? Amazon? How much?

The Dock connector works with Desire S? And its possible to charge battery connecting there?
I'll take some pics and post, but a quick review
£69 from Amazon.
The doc works and it does charge the phone. The Fidelio app connects bluetooth without a problem. Docking doesn't trigger Dock Mode, but I can do that with AutomateIt and the same would be true with Tasker, etc. I have set it so that when it is on the dock and bluetooth starts, it starts an app called Desk Clock Plus which I have put a button for Tune In Radio on. AutomateIt or Tasker could start anything of course. TuneIn has a sleep timer and an alarm, so I use that.
Sound quality is fine for me. It isn't Hi Fi, but it isn't cheapo either.
There is one problem - one of the two adjustable supports that props the phone either side of the USB connector does touch the volume control, so I had to shave the edge off it slightly. Works fine now. I think the placing isn't as secure as an iPhone, but it is solid enough. Because of the placement of the USB socket on the DS, the connector it has to be over to one side, but that means the phone is centralised on the dock.
Overall, I am happy with it. AMA else you want.
Anyone recommend a good car blue tooth speaker? My work van does not have blue tooth and so I bought a Jabra speaker for about $40 last year and it is horrible. Just looking for some help finding a new one, thanks

Do you have an aux in that you can plug into? If so, I have the miccus mini jack rx and love it. It's small and if you use the usb power cable, it turns on and off with the vehicle (assuming your outlet turns on and off)

nope, no aux plug-in either. Good thought though
Might want to consider just replacing the headset/deck in the van.
Nevermind, I didn't see the word "work" before van. Why not just grab one of these?

The JBL flip bluetooth speaker is pretty impressive. Only thing I dont like about it is theres no forward and reverse button for changing tracks.
This won't help the OP, but along with the thought Kitsune was going to interject, if anyone is looking for a new head unit for their car that has BT hands-free calling & audio streaming, I can highly recommend the relatively new Kenwood KDC-X597 model. Just had one of these installed last week and it pairs & works with the Q nicely (even though you won't find it listed on the compatibility list on Kenwood's website). Easily the best stereo overall I've had in a vehicle.
hey guys i just bought this cheap cheesy thing, and i rarely do this anymore, because probably 1 out of every 5 times items like this are DOA...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008ATAIUU/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
what do you guys think? i was just sick of all the cables in the car and while i will probably still have to use the charging cable obviously, i like having my device upright in the mount, and this will eliminate the need to put the stereo jack UPRIGHT in the air.
does anyone else use anything similar?
the reasons i chose this one is: my car charger will charge it, and it uses a simple stereo headphone jack. they are right next to each other in my car. also my car shuts off the charging ports when the engine isnt running, so it will be hassle free for me.
I use something similiar I got off of ebay. Works great! Pairs automatically when i get in the car and if I get a call, the bluetooth headset overrides the music. PERFECT! Youll be happy you ordered it.

Very nice I will be getting one
See my signature for my reviews on the Nokia BH series. I've had one in my car for the last 2 years as my BT hands free/BT Streaming for decent price. It has worked great for a long time for me.
FYI: it DOES require you to have an AUX In port.
