TIP: How do I test my PDA for dead / stuck pixels?

The easiest way of doing this is getting PocketLCD v1.0 by Bong's Workshop 2003. Install and start it and just click any of the colors to find out whether your Pocket PC has a dead or stuck pixel:

Note that the distribution package is pretty big as it also contains a Compact Framework install (which is not needed on WM2003+ Pocket PC’s, including Windows Mobile 5). If you want to save bandwidth, I’ve uploaded the only CAB file you’ll need to install on any WM2003+ device here (a 8 kbyte (!) download, as opposed to the 1 Mbyte-one original).
There are other alternates too; for example, Mobile ScreenTester by Sellit Hungary Bt.. It, however, comes in a MSI package requiring a specific desktop .NET framework (NOT compatible with .NET 2.0), which I didn’t bother downloading. Also, it’s stated not to be as good on VGA devices as PocketLCD.

It works, only I don't know where the backup messages did go. I can't view them in the desktop app.
Hmm, just found it after reading the manual
Watch it. The SMSlog.csv is locate in \documents\SMS\ on your device.
However. I don't see "my device" when using the "open" command on the desktop app.So I can't import the SMSlog.csv or I have to copy the file manually from the device to the pc. Meanwhile I did and it worked.
System Requirements:
Mobile Device: Windows Mobile 2003, 5.0, 6.0; .NET Compact Framework 3.5
Desktop Computer: Windows XP, .NET Framework 2.0 "

I´ll try it

New Windows Mobile 7 Screenshots

I like the way WM 7 is heading. Especially with a new Windows Media Player...
Looks fake to be honest, on one of the phones, the today page looks a bit squashed.
This pic gives me the same impression: Fake
HTC S621 on the pic has 64Mb of RAM and a 200Ghz processor and according to the wm7 requirements S621 will not pass
Just my opinion

THIS IS NOT WINDOWS MOBILE 7. WMExperts confirmed its just a flash app for the commercial.

Well of course it is not the actual OS running on the devices. It is however the concept for the UI MS is currently working on, so the final product may (and I think almost certainly will) look a lot like those images.
