Route 66 not working after upgrade. - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 Windows Mobile 2005 Upgrading

Hi
I upgraded my XDA II to WM2005 using this upgrade Hima_WM2005_3.35a.16-16-96.rar
Everything is working perfectly except Route 66 navigator 7. It works for about 5 minutes and then the XDA soft resets. This happens whether I have my bluetooth GPS reciever turned on or not.
Anyone any idea what the problem might be.
Thanks in advance.
Michael

xda 2i

,Hi...1st time on this forum... I have just bought the new o2 xda 2i... having problems already with it.. awaiting my second replacement ..
I have sat nav maps installed but when using it,, the phone keeps locking up,, always having to soft reset... can anyone advise if this is a common problem with this model.. i want to be able to use the phone whilst using satnav..
cheers...
I also found that the drop down list for rom version and radio.. do not contain my phomes settings??
...strange, I just posted a similar problem.
Are you using TomTom Nav3? What happens with mine is that when I lose the phone signal, the whole device crashes.
tomtom prob's
Hi... yes I am... I saw your posting after I put mine on... exactly the same problem..the whole thing freezes up and has to be rebooted!! a pain!
I have just started my contract with o2 and phoned them.. they didnt recognise the problem and are sending me a new xda... again!..my third one in a month..but I'm not sure there is anything wrong with the phone/xda... I tried to switch the phone off and ran the mapping softwarare again... worked perfectly!! but no phone...It seemed that when the phone picked up its signal or a call the system locked up...dont kow how to get around it though... was hoping for some answers on this site...
cheers, Bill
This is a known problem with TomTom 3 - if you call tomtom, then will say they don't support AKU2 yet (TYPICAL!)
O2 know about as do TomTom.... i'm told that tomtom are fixing the problem.
i doubt there will be a fix for this as ttv5 is due out in the next couple of months
seems a little strange as I'm using the Xda IIi with tomtom and have not experienced any problems
What version are you using T3.07T is the latest it is the traffic version but you do not have to enable it
still locking up...
Well.... tried new xda 2i...didnt load o2 stuff from start...re loaded tomtom navigator and eventually got the gps system to work thro' com port 1..( my last posting)... chose corporate setting as recommended ..using pin shown..(0506)... went out to try it before sending back my last ppc...still locks up....freezes,,apparently when phone picks up a fresh signal..presumably from local ariel?....sooooo frustrated. .. so still have to switch to flight mode to use navigator properly...
does anyone elsa have useful suggestions to fix this problem...please :?:

Sat Nav for XDA EXEC

:x I have the XDA EXEC and am trying to find a Sat Nav that is compatible with the phone, but no-one seems to make one for this phone.
Can anyone help.
:x
tom tom
tom tom works brilliantly with a bluetooth gps receiver. i had a fewteething problems getting it to work but now it works brilliantly withthe exec.
Tomtom 5 with out a doubt, it is a bugger to get working. But once installed works a rare treat.
thanks for that, but now having problems finding a retailer who has any left in stock ....... that's christmas for you !!!!!

route 66 mobile 7 vs tomtom {GPS}

i just want to know people opinions in this forum. regarding the two gps softwares and them running on "htc tornado"
whats the speed performance like. which one has better gps tracking with external gps bluetooth.
i understand that tomtom no longer supports smartphones. therefore needs a cusor hack to work properly
Right now I am using WM5 with Tomtom 5.2 and it is great! Picks up right away and has been perfect with turns & directions! It really is amazing. I have not found a thing wrong with it yet. Then again, I have never really tried any others. But why fix something that is not broke

diamond + samsung wep200 handsfree

im having some problems with my wep200.
this thing actually came with my phone from my phone company, ive read on the internet that it should be compatible.
am i doing something wrong or is something broken?
i turn the wep200 on, enter the blue thooth propeties in the diamond and search for a device. but it just says it cant find anything. and my k800i cant find it either. but the diamond and the k800i connects to each other just fine.
anyone got the same problem or hopefully a solution?
Is it in pairing mode?
I have the same problem with WEP-200. My phones has found it, paired it but when calling and receiving calls it wont pickup... Weird problem.
It works great with other BT headsets. Dont know what the problem is with WEP-200. To bad since it's so small.

yeah, i guess so, because i managed to pair it with my k800i and use the bluetooth explorer(very cool btw)
and yes, too bad indeed. size matters
i am using the wep200 with my diamond and it works fine.
Just hold the button on the wep200 for about 8 seconds until the light on it stays lit,and then add a new device from your diamond and it should work fine.

That has not been any problem for me to pair it.. the problem has been that WEP200 doesnt pickup the call even when it's on and paired... but it works fine with my old N73 and Ipaq 614.. strange.. my backup headset works fine with my Diamond... strange problem..

no problem!
I also have a problem between my WEP200 and my diamond. I can pair it, answer calls... But the voice dialing does not work propoerly. When I say something, it starts dialing the right person, but then hangs-up immediatly. I have to dial on the diamond to be able to call.
Any chance somebody could help me.
I have unsimlocked my phone with Olipro ROM a couple of weeks ago. Does-this have something to do with my problem?
Thanks for your help!
UPDATE 19-09-2008
I upgraded the HardSPL from 1.30Olinex to 1.40Olinex. I was then able to install the new 1.93ROM from HTC site. And the problem with the voice dial is now solved.

Use fuze as external bluetooth gps.

Hello, I have samsung captivate, and for anyone that doesn't know the gps is horrible. One thing I loved about my fuze was gps accuracy and tracking. Ive heard that the gps on this phone can be used as a external gps via bluetooth. Ive found a program called gps2blue but can't get it to work. Has anyone tried this? I've tried with fuze and tilt with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. It would be nice to have the phone I've loved for a while power my android gps due to it's short comings.
