Since installing the 6.0 rom, my treo does not display the info contained in the Calendar item notes section or in the tasks. Anyone have a solution?
I had this problem myself.
I am using WM5, but had to do a hard reset on it after having no luck with the Hard SPL sim unlock on the Upgrading Forum. I think you do a hard reset when upgrading to WM6, so maybe it's the same issue?
I fixed mine by deleting the phone profiles from Activesync and then doing another hard reset, and re-connecting ... probably not your preferred solution, but it worked.
While I was on with Palm Tech support the agent told me to do the hard reset again, and then of course said "wait" right after I had done it ...
The agent tried to stop me because he said he had found something that indicated it might have something to do with recurring appointments and was going to have me delete those and retry to sync.
So you might try deleting the recurring appointments you have (if you have them) and see if it works ... no promises, but that was the Palm guy's next step.
Hi,
I might have done a stupid thing... I was quite bummed out that ActiveSync was starting by itself all the time on my Touch Pro.
So I used one of the solutions - which was disabling notifications of repllog.exe by using FdcSoft TaskMgr (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2577786&postcount=18).
This solution seemed OK until I realised that I can't sync with my laptop anymore. The AS connection is never established :-(
Of course, I tried to revert the settings and enabled the notification of repllog.exe again but it has no effect on it anymore (did a soft reset afterwards).
Is there a way how to reset Active sync to its default settings?
Thanks for the answers in advance.
PS: I also tried the other solution for disabling Activesync starting but it didn't help at all
(http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/ppc-6700-xv6700/60676-how-stop-activesync-turning-automatically.html)
I reverted those changes as well...
same problem here. :
Hello all. I have an HTC Touch Diamond on Bell. The issue I have is quite annoying. I want to avoid a hard reset as much as possible. Basically, the problem I have is that when I delete messages, they will always reappear after a soft reset. Any messages I received between the last reset message will be deleted once a soft reset is performed. For example, I received a message on May 23rd and messages received after that are not kept once I soft reset. I found users with a similar issue here: http://www.technologyquestions.com/...general/225754-text-messages-wont-delete.html
I have tried everything. Clearing ALL text messages doesn't even work. I clear my messages, wait overnight, then in the morning, soft reset, all the messages have returned. I would appreciate any help that you can give.
PS: It does the same thing with my email. I have 2 new emails in one of my three accounts, which I delete, and then sync again. After a soft reset, they have returned along with all the other text messages. It's very frustrating!
I should also say that I am not using a cooked ROM, I'm using the stock Bell ROM. Anyone have any ideas?
I've heard of this problem before.. and to be honest, i couldn't find a solution other than hard-reseting or replacing the ROM... i'm sorry..
wm reads your pim files everytime it loads.. and apparently you have a problem erasing data from within the file.. no idea why.
wait for a couple of days to see if someone managed to solve this.. if not, i'd hard-reset.
Thank you for your reply. I did a hard reset. I just hope this problem won't return. I really don't want to do a hard reset every 2-3 months!
flash new roms
you will be hard resetting every 2 weeks and finding out how much better your phone can be
try out the new microsoft my phone software you can sync over the network so you dont lose anything when you hard reset

I flashed a cooked ROM in the past and I didn't like it at all. The time stamps on messages were way off and even when changing the time manually it would switch back.
And thanks for the MyPhone suggestion. I've been using it since April and has worked pretty good so far. I also used Dashwire which worked nicely as well.
cooked ROMs in this forum are usually fantastic. you probably just stumbled upon a sucky one. I always suggest cooked ROMs as they are faster and more useful than the official ones (to be honest, i wouldn't be surprised if HTC actually assume their official ROMs will only be used for reference applications and system packages)...
also, ALWAYS backup your data. ALWAYS!
you can use PIMBackup2.8 to backup messages/recent calls/appointments/tasks.... and SPB Backup/Sprite Backup/Resco Backup...to backup you system.
dont soft reset hold the power button until the popup appears then press yes... worked for me
If you soft-reset just in few seconds after deleting mesages, they'll appear again. They'll also appear again if you don't let time to write again the registry.
For soft-resetting, better use an app to do this, slowly. If not, take your time to power off after some minutes. Remember the message "everything you did not save will be lost" and apply it for the fact you deleted the messages but this deletion was not "saved" yet if you don't take you time.
As I stated earlier, I even waited overnight to reset, and have done it by holding down the power buttion. They would still come back. Something was corrupt and only a hard reset would fix it.
Regarding the cooked ROM, I used MightyROM before and it gave me issues.
Hi
I'm using a Touch HD with some custom ROM wm6.5.
After each soft reset my exchange settings (I mean what should be synchronised: mails, calendars, etc) are lost (unchecked). I have to enable it again sync and all will be working till next SR.. Unfortunately Author of ROM doesn't have idea where to look for the issue, so maybe you will have some hints?
Than you in advance and kind regards
Same problem
I have same problem. I cant find any solution for now
I have the same problems on my HD with to different recent 6.5.3 ROMs . After SR, all items are unchecked and all the contacts and calendar data are gone. On the other hand, if I perform regular shutdown and power on sequence, nothing is lost... But, with WinMo, SR is necessary from time to time.
Hi,
I just installed the latest Artemis (58.0 SVE) to my HD2. I used the LeoAdvancedRUU.exe and have not done any customizations. Note sure of my Radio version.
Everything went fine. But my company enforces the use of Exchange company principle unit cryptation (direct translation from Swedish, not sure of the correct english term), and after a while (30 minutes) of using the phone and having done some settings in the standard HTC settings tab I did a soft reset. Problem is that the phone freezes on the lock up screen. I can push the Speak button to make emergency calls, but when clicking Lock up the phone just freezes.
I had done a soft reset before, which worked.
Could anyone help? (currently I can't even start the phone...)
I'm not so sure it has anything to do with the Exchange encryption.
I cleared the phone and got it running with Artemis 58. I synched with Exchange and everything was running fine for some hours, during which i did several soft resets.
However when I did some simple settings on the HTC settings tab (I changed background image and moved around and hid some of the tabs on the start screen), the phone wouldn't restart when soft resetting. It just freezes when I try to unlock it on the security encryption screen.
Ideas anyone?
