Hello,
Ok, Im completely confused by now!!! What is the best wm6 room avaiable? Is it based on a final wm6 rom or still beta? Is it usable, does it work? what are the issues?
thanks,

I think the most stable WM6 rom for Prophet is "Smart1"'s CLEAR rom.
But I can sync with my outlook, I have upgraded to Activesync 4.5 though.
Do I need to upgrade to activesync 4.5 English version? Because I am using Chinese one.
Since at the moment that I have tried there is none that works completely well, they usually have mistakes with the BT, I have returned to WM5 and have put the rom of ASERG AKU3.3 v.12, very good and stable

Same here.. ..a friend of mine has the Most Beautiful ROM running on his Wizard right now. It seems to me that's the best WM6.0 ROM out there at the moment. Disappearing SMS problems are solved etc.
Would be great to see this ROM running on the Prophet
But it should solve:
- IR problems
- Include the charge fix
- SMS storing problem
- BT pairing history
We just have to wait for a willingly and smart Prophet user who can give this a try
So let me get this straight:
1. ASERG AKU3.3 v.12 is currently better than any WM6 ROM currently in this forum (for a Prophet) ??
2. Can someone please show us images comparing WM6 ROMs and AKU ROMs (how they look like) ? please...
thanks

1. For the Prophet, yes.
2. Look HERE for info about the different AKU's.
And take a look HERE for info about WM6.0.
thx mccune!
i have looked at the differences... it seems that AKU is more stable and everything (since i have installed smart1's WM6 ROM and there are a few unresolved bugs...)
but anyways, i like WM6's appearence way better... and this is what matters more for me hehe
but... im still a bit confused about something... what exactly is AKU ? i mean ... does it have anything to do with microsoft? or is it simply another OS in competition with microsoft's WM ? :S
i can see the widows logo in the AKU's pics... thats y im confused
in other words: Why are there AKU and WM6 roms in this forum ? :S whats the difference ?
thx in advance
It says it all in the link he gave you
"Review of update packs (AKU) for Windows Mobile 5.0""
Looks like AKU is a set of upgrades which Microsoft release, maybe like "service pack" for XP. These include patches and tweaks for the OS.
SO ASERG AKU3.3 v.12 is the old version of Windows Mobile, (WM2005) but with latest updates from Microsoft installed.
Ahh okayzzz...
so AKU is like WM5 SP# and WM6 is... well, WM6
thx
ASERG AKU3.3 v.12 Issues
Recently loaded this rom on my Prophet multiple issues with Rom, Calender is in Russian or something, unit runs really slow, drains batt fast, unable to select notifications from Voice msg and be connected directly to voice mail, running of programs is delayed or crashed.
Know this is the most recent one out there just not sure if it fully functional.

Why are you so negative about this ROM?
- Calender is in Russian -> Change your region settings
- unit runs really slow -> Never heard off such problem
- drains batt fast -> Maybe your device has been OC-ed using BatteryStatus?
- Other point I don't use, so no comment.
I've tried almost every ROM available for the Prophet and I must say this is one of the best!
To me the best WM6 Rom is the smart1 clear... but it's just a opinion.
Rom Issues
The phone has no Batt issues, untill loaded this rom batt at time runs hot, turning the unit off is inpossible w/out taking the Batt out - the shut down screen only restarts the unit or puts in in standby, attaching the unit w/ a bluetooth - if the unit is actually restarted or shut off does not recall the prev settings - have to re-attach the unit as a new item, Wireless - will not keep WEp keys stored in system, again if re-start unit must re-activate the whole sys & keys, MS Messenger will not log on at not point even re-starting the unit will not work & finally when the rom is initially run not all the programs install have to manually go back in to install application (ex. batt tester, batt charge notification on desktop are some f/ example). To actually speed up the system needed to re-run the rom update 3X not the best thing to have to do. Additional suggestion rom could use a PDF initial install prog. instead of having to install after rom run & set up.
My present rom is aserg's 3.12
Hi guys, I still think that Aserg's 3.12 rom is the best. However, I am waiting too for a good and (more) stable WM6 rom to use the new features. Wm6 stiil has too many problems to fix e.g. not working IR , etc.
I include 3 pics of my current rom with 2 versions of my today screen. Isn't it what someone asked in this thread? If anyone knows a better WM6 rom, please let me know.

Just gave wm6.1 a spin.....and what can i say
PROS:
- threaded sms
- easier exchange server configuring (auto configures)
- quicker, and seems stable as of now
- solves the password screen locking the start menu bar bug
CONS:
- nothing new or different on the today screen
- nothing visually different
- same old applications, same old interface, same old same old
- its just the same old wm6 people, so, if you by chance felt like your life was coming to an end and you were waiting for wm6.1 to make it on your unis and once again get your juices flowing.....forget it.
- a2dp support seems like its missing!
- "Use High resolution" in internet explorer no longer there
- its highly frustrating to see MS drop in the "Task manager" application from their smartphone OS and market it as an "improvement".....grrr
- a sad "Getting Started" today plugin.....please, someone give me a break!
Anyway, life goes on, the same old sorry way......photon? android? hmph....

tbh what did you expect?
This of the change as akin to winxp vanilla and sp1 not winxp and vista.
no kidding.. even with less things.
i can confirm a2dp isnt working eother and internet explorer high resolution isnt even there ..
the wm5 latest tmobile rom has these!!
i give them one thing though, it is snappy and seems stable so far.
seems they increased the card cache size since when you start a song in media player it starts skipping and stuttering.. well that can always be fixed later.
Hmmmm, are we talking here about the real WM6.1 or the PDAViet build ported to Universal?
The cons/limitations are probably porting problems, at the moment the few who can confirm these are midget_1990 & mamaich. Besides, WM6.1 is not probably meant to be a version upgrade but a release update (i.e. SP2 in XP). I don't know too!
Where can I fing WM6.1?
6.1 is just an update not upgrade.
What I can say is this is a build ported from a QVGA device to a VGA device.
Now pls wait for our gurus to release a complete built.
I can run a2dp perfectly, it is just a matter of porting only.
We see here now lot's of build coming..just b patient for the same

Well, as MS screwed up on Photon release which was to be somewhere during 2008....and because google gave them a freak-surprise with Android....MS suddenly commited for a WM6.1 release.
I thought WM6.1 will be atleast a few features intended to go into Photon to keep Windows Mobile alive against upcoming competition (Android based phones scheduled to hit somewhere in Q3).
But turns out that Wm6.1 is just the same stuff....like you said, an sp1 release!
The least i expected was a changed today screen with a new interface which i kept reading about on so many forums....turns out people mistook this from the smartphone version they saw....
Anyways, cheers guys, trying to be happy with what we've got!!
Cant wait for the **actual** roms to start coming out from all our rom gurus out here....
Cheers!

Hopefully Midget will fix the situation with disconnecting SD cards.... I'm not the one who had this problem when usual SD card 2gb is disconnected on no reasons and you have to slide out/in to get it worked...

This ROM is the fastest and the only one that doesn't have problems in its functions, never freeze and the most reliable one. I'm using it with old 1.09 RADIO ROM and battery is the same like having WM5.
You can try to argue everything, but this is really example of complete ROM.
Thanks PDAVIET.

If my phone is unable to boot then how can i restore back to your guava rom?
You have to re-flash it to New Guava, there is no "restore".
I'd say don't test it if you've never experienced an unusable phone
I'd like to know if people feel like me that it is faster ? It seems so.
But switching from portrait to landscape is very slow.. If someone has some knowledge of the files involved in this maybe it could be fixed.
Maybe it is because I have not ported all the files from wm 6.1 xip.
I still need to do a lot of tests here.
Hi Dr Gonzo
Being in touch with an expereinced person like you gives me the confidence to test it. I hope you will help me if GOD forbid i get an unusable phone...

flashing done but my phone is stucked on mobile operator splash screen for a long time
this rom seems slower than wm6..
Damn I cant belive this. U r awesome dude!
Thanx god u had the great idea to buy the vox!

speed is very very gooooooooooooooooood
here is version information
windows mobile 6.1 Standard
OS 5.2.19195
Radio 4.1.13.54_03.10.90
I've just flashed my phone with this ROM, it's very fast compared with WM 6, the screen quicker when the keyboard has been opend compared with WM 6, needs clear type switching on and HTC Audio Manager adding and it will be looking good, keep the revisions coming as you port more of the ROM to the Vox. Can not wait to see what yuou do with the New Guava ROM when you have fineshd porting all of WM 6.1.
Roland

activesync also working fine with it..
need some clean fonts & cleartype enabled...

Yep! Gprs works like a charm, wifi bluetooth not. Is there the t9? I cant find it, I trie to install the all language cab from the new guava 3d. The phone is fast very fast and quite stable too. Great work doc!
This is a 18128.0.4.4 ROM build based on PeterPetrelli's Wizard port of the AT&T 8525 WM6 ROM. It is a mix of old and new components, so if you don't like old stuff, you may not want to flash it. It is not built using the Hypercore kitchen (Tadzio's tools) so the ULDR space is still there. The today theme is the wasabi green HTC_default.tsk from the HTC 4350 official ROM along with the same green dialer and comm manager. When you change from or to the HTC theme, you must manually soft reset to change the dialer skin even though you click the "ok" on the dialog box. It's smooth, fast and very stable. The ROM is easily extracted, but I put it together as a factory ROM, so all of the programs are in the OEMAPPS package instead of separate. When you extract it for kitchen use, no OEM-side folders are in the SYS side.
Build 5.2.1622 (18128.0.4.4)

Hey jwzg!
Always been around with new surprises, don't ya?
I've just installed this build and up to now, no complains. Really smooth, stable and fast as mentioned!
I also already dumped to start cooking over it. Let you know how was it after flashing...but it seems ok. I got OEM, XIP, SYS all together.
Thanks for sharing...
AKU 4.4 is the adaptation kit upgrade used for the Kaiser and Hermes WM6 ROM's. It's not meant for the Wiz, but it is the most stable, ported base ROM there is.
epiamazzo, I'm glad you're giving this a whirl. I've had this ROM in .308 build sitting on my old laptop for almost a year. It was on my old Qtek 9100 when I lost it leaving China. I just brought over all of the OEM files and tweaked the .dsm files so everything would be in the right place if someone decided to cook it. The only thing missing is the Lockstream DRM files, and I don't think anyone knows how to make those work outside of their original ROM.
UPDATE: I'm going to put the Network Wizard back in, since I finally got it to work. I'll upload it in a day or two, but everything else should stay the same.
Is this WM5? I do realise that its posted on WM6 section... but I thought that AKU 3.3 was the latest WM5... so I'm wondering...
It's WM6 for sure. I just updated my signature.
I downloaded and flashed last night
No issues to report, the items I use, wi-fi,sms, phone, you know - the basics, are working very well. Bluetooth works also
Quick and reliable - thank you
Installed pocketcm, thumbcal,srs wow,tcpmp - everything works

The ROM upgrade for the Hermes has that OS and build number. I just flashed one last week. The XIP was ported by PP and the drivers are taken directly from the .308 build. There wasn't much else done. Either way, it's still one of the best ROM's I've run for quickness and stability. Kind of a businessman's ROM.

I'm pulling the VoIP packages from the ROM for now. It seems that everything connects, but I can't seem to get audio from the speaker. I don't know what's causing it, but this is not an issue with .308 build. Network Wizard is back in and working. Other than that, no changes.

Maybe you should read the first post.....
This is easily the most stable rom since the Ingenetics / 318 build. I'm so impressed by how stable and responsive this rom is. I have yet to find a single bug in this rom. This is definitely a keeper in terms of wizard roms.
Keep up the good work jwzg.
I can't believe people are wasting their time with 6.1 builds when we have solid official base roms such as this. Likewise I can't believe that more people havent tried this rom. That's terribly disappointing. One unmentionable 6.1 thread on this forum has near enough to 800 posts on it, almost all of them issues with the rom. People would rather have a bug infested 'latest' build than something as solid as this. I will never understand that. I just shake my head.
jwzg, you have done an awesome job with this rom. It has to be the most stable wizard rom that I have seen. It's simplicity with no bugs for the businessman that adore stability.

Couldn't agree with you more. You've done such a great job with this rom. Worthy of a signature change.
PP I'm awfully flattered. I still have a few bugs to get out including a non-working BT activation of VSD (I think). I'd like to see a bit more beta testing on some of these 6.1 ROMS, but we'll never know the limits unless they are pushed.
I was wondering few things before I flash this rom.
1. Does it have micro office?
2. is there a way to get the sms/mms to thread like in the 6.1 rom?
How are the reports on blue tooth? any dropped or missed connections? Right now i'm trying a 6.1 rom and it drops my headset and i have to restart blue tooth and head set...
Hi there!
I played around now with nearly each german ROM provided in this forum and thought it would be a nice idea to share my conclusion so far:
My requirements: a rom that is
o reliable
o stable
o fast
o economical
My conclusion:
o Tejaks V5 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2348896&postcount=125)
o Radio ROM: 1.65.16.25
I really tried about a dozens radio ROMS / each german ROM and realized that a good number of them seems to suffer from the "battery drain" bug which makes the device unusable for my opinion...
My actual configuration like stated above (ROM and radio ROM) contains around 50 installed 3rd applications and uses only - tadaaa - between 1 (!!!) and 5 mW during standby (measured with battery status). Note: other ROM/Radio ROM combinations used a lot more (from 50mW up to 200mW and even more in standby!) <-- so much for battery usage / economy
For stability: I had NO call disruptions at all (not like with the newer radio ROMS) and got my GPS fixes pretty fast. The ROM never hanged so far.
Skype works! (I dont know any other german WM 6.1 so far)
Igo8 works!
I cant provide a benchmark so far - but this combination gives me the very best feeling related to speed.
No german keyboard bug!
No backlight timeout bug!
No camera bug!
So if you are german and wondering which ROM / Radio ROM you want to use - give this one a chance!
(PS: This is just my very personal impression of the avaliable ROMS... I give all my respect to ALL of the cooks - you all do very valuable work!)
Hi!
Thanks for the information. I installed Teijak's ROM yesterday - my first impression is very good (fast!). My only (little) concern is about the amount of free RAM (I guess because of the pagepool size?) - but let's wait and see.
The official HTC 6.1 ROM was really disappointing me (unstable, performance very different).
HI,
just change the PagePool Size to Dynamic with the Page Pool Patcher Tool. And you will get ~55 MByte Free of RAM. And the Device will going to be awesome fast ;-)
What i miss in this cooked Rom is a pre installed VOIP configuration and the Live Messenger.
...best german ROM?
Hello, I also search for a good, stable and fast (new) german ROM to flash first time my Kaiser...if someone else have good experience with new roms please post here your opinion, bugs and so on...
Thanks for your help,
Lou
I completely agree with licht77!
first, yes I am a nooby. But never-the-less I managed to flash the V5 yesterday night together with HardSPL 3.59. Radio is 1.65.16.25. Before this upgrade I was running the official HTC 6.1 upgrade.
I have changed the page pool to 6MB. My impression: this ROM really rocks!!! Even with this low page pool it is much better than anything I run until now.
Teijak, keep the good work running.
BTW, I am located in the Munich are and Vodafone customer...
Cheers.
Updated:
Finally had time, and access to norwegian files for a new build. Seems a bit faster and more responsive.
New in this version:
- Removed some unused/unnecessary stuff from OEM
- Camera application updated to version 5.04
- Removed taskmanager from the taskbar and replaced it with a norwegian version
- Removed some more stuff from SYS (Uneeded/unwanted)
Bugs:
- The license agreement of MSN is still blank, press "godta"
- The default start page of Interet Explorer does NOT work.
Uploaded to 4shared:
build 28002: here
previous build 23071: here
Make sure you have read this before upgrading
Important:
This ROM does not contain a radio, the radio of your previously flashed ROM will be used
Please let me know if you find any other bugs or problems! This will definitely help me improve my work! (any positive feedback is wanted as well)

Thanks to this fantastic forum I've managed to cook my own norwegian 6.5 ROM based on build 23071. So far it seems to be working very well.
Since I'm not sure about the demand for norwegian ROMs I havn't uploaded it anywhere yet. If youre interested in trying it please post here telling me so.

Hi there.
I like to try your ROM.
Espen
I'll try to find a nice place to upload it as soon as I can, will probably PM with where you can find it.
Things I've done with this ROM is by the way:
Removed:
Transcriber (doesn't recognize norwegian letters anyway)
Autoupdate
IRDA (No infrared on kaiser so this is useless)
Livesearch
MS Money
MS Tag
MS My Phone
Added:
Working version of Windows Live (Since I do use msn occasionally)
Taskmanager
+Some other minor tweaks
Basically a quite clean Rom based on a mix of the OEM of my stock 6.1 kaiser and 6.5 build 23071 SYS.
Very nice and it makes me curious
Hi
Very nice initiative. I have tried most the roms around here, and have had some difficulties with 6.5 roms and have currently gone back to a 6.1 rom, but this makes me interested to try a 6.5 rom again
best regards Rune T. Norway
Added info:
Flashed the rom, and tried it for a little more than a day, but I found it it a little unresponsive for my taste.
I always look for the fastest I can find with the best batterylife, but things is of course a matter of taste, and one seems to get picky after trying all these magnificent roms ;D
I currently use 23053-uncompressed (with only 58Mb free storage at startup), and this is fast and stable.
If you wanted to try and cook a norwegian rom based on this one, it might be a winner for my taste.

I've just installed your ROM and it's working good so far.
Espen
have u got any pictures ? and I hope u can post a english vision as well ;
thanks very much !
Improving
First of all thanks for the response!
Also I will not be cooking an english version of this as there are quite a lot of them out there already (probably a lot better than I could do them too)
Have been working a bit to improve this version built on 23071 for a while, and have made a couple of test builds for myself removing unneeded apps, the duplicate alarm clock shortcut and so on, but have turned to build 23081 simply because I like the magnifier in it. Will probably post it as soon as its ready.
BTW. I've been working on a couple of uncompressed versions as well, most people use the SD-cards for storage anyway.
Might take me a couple of days, maybe weeks as I'm currently playing around with my diamonds and trinitys too...
Great - keep up the good work.
Still no issues with the current version.
Espen
Me WANT
Hi, there i would realy like to try this on, I'm sick of reading eanglish on my kaiser
-Thx
Sorry, i can see clearly now, so i found the download link
Just to let you know
Lately I've been working on the 23081 build, uncompressed. It's fast and responsive, but there's some minor bugs with Internet explorer that I'm trying to fix. I'm looking for the norwegian languge files for 23088 though so if anyone could get me those I'd be very happy....
Remove IE, it sucks anyhow. It's slow and useless.
Add Opera and set it as default browser
Opera 9.7 Beta
The beta works great.

Have been playing with the idea, might try it when I get time, not sure yet how difficult it is to set it as the default browser when I cook it and integrate it into titanium. Will defenitely look into it.
Sounds great
Looking forward to your next build
Finally..
..a new build.
Check out the first post for links.
I have not added opera, you are free to do so yourself
Nice.. I'll check it out over the weekend..
Thanks
Thanks for testing! Please leave me a message telling whats good/bad and so on.
At the moment I'm in the process of cooking a ROM with touchflo 2.0 from the HTC Mega (touch2), seems like there's just a few bugs that I need to get rid of, when (or if?) I get it done I'll upload it if anyone wants it. (Not a huge fan of touchflo on kaiser myself since it doesn't work properly in portrait though)
Not working at the moment:
YouTube (Freezes)
Opera (works, but it's in english)
Dialer (fixed, went back to the built in dialer from WM 6.5)
Comm Manager (fixed, used the original from my HTC Kaiser)
Hi, I have not had the time too test your rom untill now. I'm falshing as we speak I will report back after testing for a few hours..
