Hi, I can sync with bluetooth if I open the 750, open active sync and then connect with bluetooth and then hit sync.
What I want though, is for the phone to sync everytime it comes in range of my PC to which it is linked. Is this possible?
Thanks in advance for the help

Hi there i wonder if someone could help me! I have an XDA11 which seems to be working fine. However i have a problem with activ sync 3.8. Upon placing the XDA11 in it's cradle activ sync opens on my pc and shows that it's connected but it doesn't sync. Have tried all of the settings and reloading the package but to no avail!
The problem lies "i think" with the fact that upon connection it doesn't highlight the green sync button. But i know it's connected cos i can transfer data from the pc to the XDA11 quite easily and vice versa.
Please help!!
Many Thanks

Hi,
I know this is an old thread but i wanted people thoughts on Activesync over Bluetooth?
What issues are there and how reliable is it?
Im using WM6.1 and plan to sync with Outlook2003 on XPpro sp3.
Thanks
I find activesync via bluetooth very reliable, although not fast enough for transfering large files.
Best way to get it working properly is:
Delete any existing pairings on both the pc and ppc.
Check that the bluetooth program on your pc has a com port set up and that your pc is discoverable.
Go to activesync connection settings on pc, and check that it is set to use the same com port as the previous step.
On ppc, go to activesync and attempt to 'connect via bluetooth'.
When it doesnt find a connection, select to create one, add device, and create a partnership with your pc. It SHOULD find activesync as a service.
Now you can close the bluetooth menu, and 'connect via bluetooth' again.
(this would probably have helped the OP 20 months ago)
Hi All,
we are using the infrared port for syncing the device with the PC. while connecting through Programs->Connections->IR ActiveSync it will sync with PC without any problem.
But, while am trying to connect through executing the REPLLOG.EXE it will shows the "connecting to host" dialog but it take '57600 default connection instead of 'infrared port.
its really painful for us. How to run the active sync by running the REPLLOG.EXE through 'infrared port.
Kindly help us in this regard.
Regards,
Nandha
Hi,
Just bought the official cradle from HTC, plugged it into my PC, but it generally won't sync at all, or when it does it loses the connection again after a few minutes.
Most of the time, once connected, activesync will do nothing at all for about a minute, and then comes up with a dialog saying unable to connect
Also, the light around the touch sensitive button still illuminates to show that it's charging. So there's definitely a connection.
Any clues?

Can anyone help? I've added a bit more info which might help to diagnose.
I also got the original HTC desktop cradle and it works like a charm for me.
But what you could try is
Start -> Settings -> Tab Connections -> USB to PC and uncheck "Enable advanced network functionality".
This normally solves USB connection problems.

Hi!
It just doesn't want to sync with outlook or it does not want to connect at all? If it doesn't want to connect at all: have you tried changing the setting above?

You could try to delete the WMDC Partnership when your TP is not connected and than reconnecting your phone. It should as you for a new partnership then and also give you the possibility so sync it with outlook.
Hi, I'm using Samsung Omnia II (WM 6.5). I have my contacts on my phone and want to upload to outlook via ActiveSync 4.5.
After setting up a connection and ActiveSync telling me sync is completed, there is nothing in outlook. It seems ActiveSync can't upload contacts from phone to PC.
Do you have any ideas to fix it?
Thank you very much.
Isnt there an option when connected to the phone in active sync to get contacts from phone to pc instead of the other way round, something like make changes on the pc and not the phone,
