I hope this is not normal, i am realy dissapointed about the battery life of my vox.
Yesterday at 6 in the morning I woke up from a warning sound that the battery was almost flat. I plugged it in, got up at 11.30 and started him up.
Did 2 calls and 4 text messages, and at 22.30 when i was watching TV i got the battery warning again!
Same thing happend today, why isn't my battery lasting longer than 12 hours?
I coudn't have done something wrong while charging/discharging becous it only lasts 12 hours so its always fully discharged before recharging.
And i always closed the running apps in the task manager (taakbeheer).
What applications do you have installed that startup automatically?

none
i just got the original rom installed after some problems with the Neo rom
Cells in the battery might be on the verge on death. Run the battery down to 0, cover the second pin from the left with electrical tape and put it to charge while turned on or with a seperate charger. Charge it full to 100%, remove the tape and put it back to charge. Run your "daily" test again and see how she fares.
I have an extra 2250mAh I can sell you if you want, doesn't come with an extended battery cover however.
how can they be dead? i just got the phone for a week. :s factory error?
Oh, a week? That's not right at all.

Bring back to your service provider where you bought the phone from, my HTC S720 did the same thing and i got a new phone replaced and the battery issue is gone.
Altho now it freezes here and there >.<

Well, it's still Windows Mobile! <img>
I don't think it's the battery.
I had this problem about 5 times already..rebooting the phone seemed to fix it every time.
I'm not saying rebooting will fix your phone but I'm almost sure it a software issue.
were there times it did work as it should?
First recharge was held a full day of internet. and i watched a 20min episode of King Of Queens.
I'm goint to try the phone for another few days, if the problem still occurs i'll ship it back to my store.
hmm
battery is now holding fine. It could last more than a week now on standby.

HTC S710 1050 mAh battery last more than a week, unbelievable
Mine lasts 3 days tops
Now i have it @228Mhz probably 2 if I don't do anything with it.
I will be getting myself a Nokia E71 so I'll have 2 2250mAH batteries and an extended cover with soft touch if anybody is interested in buying them for cheap.
I'll also probably sell a 2GB SD and an OEM 1050mAH with it. Keeping 2 1050's at the Vox as a backup.
Just throwin' it out there.
Well not a week but i checked regularly and the batt lost about 15-20%/day on standby?
It think it needed a few charges to be fully usable.
Working fine now.
I only use it one day before recharging anyway. It drains to literally nothing. I am a very have user (or should I say gamer??^^) You know, school is sooooooo boring!
When i was in school i always had my laptop in front of me ^^
Hide taskbar + alt-bat ftw!
hey guys, according the latest test of my battery, it lasted just 3 hours with wifi on. i've just upgraded to neo rom yesterday. can any body help? and can anybody explain which cell of the battery hawaiii is talking about.
I have 2 2250mAH cell batteries if you would like them. I am no longer using my Vox so they are no use to me. They have been used for roughly one week and come with an extended battery cover with soft touch paint on it.
are these batteries bigger? do thet stick out?
Hey. Today after little less than year in standing with no working I thinked that take to use again and order new keyboard repair kit, taked my phone out of case and I found battery like balloon. After turn on phone, all worked and battery had around 10% loaded. How can happen with battery thiskind of change, 2 month ago was all normal. Battery is original Sanyo ST26C.
In second 8310, my friends phone, works only 2 days after fresh WM install. Same problem is with my wifes MteoR.
With battery problem is clear that need to buy new, but help needed with the second problem.
Thanks.
I have my Tornado since 2006 and my battery suddenly also "grew" like a balloon. You're not the only one.
cheers
I have HTC devices since 2005 (Amadeus the first one) and the batteries are still good - see my investigations at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5558383#post5558383
My personal mantra is to not let the batteries drain empty too often. I don't do anything special to that, but whenever I am at my PC (office or home) I link the device to the PC to let it sync and load the battery. On average I would say that my batteries live their life between 80-100%, occasionally going down to 60% - result: see above thread.
It's dead.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your battery is dead. Time to get a new one. It's happened to me on other phones, it suddenly grew a bulge and wouldn't work at all. I got a cheap battery from ebay and now all's good.
Hi.
i have problem with my phone. minimum once a week he itself turn off.
When then I turn on the phone and enter the pin code, is still alive. but i muss unlock phone with pattern and then he die.
only helps remove the battery.
what is wrong?
Uhm, it seems a battery issue. Did you try with another battery?
i have only this one
I had a similar problem and it was the battery that was causing it, got a new battery everything good
Sent from my HTC Sensation using XDA
I had a problem with this once with a bad flash of a rom. Once I reflashed the rom it quit the problem and I didn't replace the battery..
On a side note though, check amazon for specials for the batteries for these phones. I got twin 1900mah batteries with charger for less than 30 bucks US. It's worth the investment and added battery life through the day.
It is ALWAYS recommended to do a superwipe before you flash a ROM.
Try superwipe, maybe it might solve your issue.
Cheers.
Hello All
I have an HTC Desire S that is about 2 years old. Everything is great about this phone. Recently I found that the it was not holding the Charge. Sometimes it would show as 90% charged & the moment I disconnect the charger it would drop down to 10% and worst the phone Powers down. I noticed the battery is slightly bulged when I put it on a Flat surface. I have been trying to get a new battery but unable to find the battery as the Service center says that the set is not in market anymore and I don't want to be at risk by using a fake battery. Can anyone please let me know any other HTC phone that uses the same battery as the Desire S?
Also while on ebay I found this link. Can anyone please suggest is this a good battery?

I had to repace the original battery on my photon q because I dropped it and the battery cable tore. I bought a cameron sino because Ive had a reasonable experience with them and nokia phone batteries (though I find polar cell the best). However, after a couple of weeks I ended up in a situation where it wouldnt charge or start any more, it would get to the bootloader unlocked screen and turn off, then just keep looping round and round. Ive jury rigged a nokia battery in and its working ok (though its smaller and I dont want to try charging). Can anyone suggest a decent replacement battery? I dont want to use one of the higher capacity battery mods as I dont want to make it bulge or anything. Could my problems be anything to do with using sailfish os instead of android?
So I tried to charge my Nokia BP-4L and it doesn't work... but I realised that there are actually 4 battery contacts and I am only using two. Does anyone know what the other two contacts are for? Presumably one is a thermistor, but not sure about the other, at some point I'll try buzzing with a multimeter to see if any of them are connected together.
Has anyone tried this extended battery from ebay? 2600mAh is huge! Which makes me think it can't possibly be true... and postage to the UK is 20USD which makes me reluctant to try it.
i mean it is BAT+ / BTEMP / ID / BAT-
