If i read correctly i beleive there is a pdaviet 3 out now. i have a copy but have not had a chance to try it out. i will inform you guys on how it goes. Supposedly they say that wmstorage is fixed. this is what is said

i just installed v3 of wm6....i liked it...until i tried to change ma device name.... all the symbols are messed up can some one fix this fast.....
and also the "y" and "z" keys are mixed up

Just wanna tell you that this is a sensitive case (if you read some comments on PDAViet's ROM some days ago - the thread was already removed). So please don't post the ROM on this forum without the permission from admins and moderators here, plus the permission from PDAViet.
Actually, those guys of PDAViet are great in cooking ROM. However, as a result of the above mentioned issue, they don't want to publicize their ROM until they are officially permitted.

running on it for a couple of days now, works well, no memleaks, good batterylife unlike the other aku3's , my only issue is the slowness of the message button when pressed not snappy but all in all its ok
Has anyone tried this version with a G4 Wizard?

got it working
for some odd reason, none of the other WM6 versions would work. only this version 3.0 would install without errors.
2 version is working just fine...
and from what i see, there are just some custom changes, nothing special, so noo need to install this one over 1st or 2nd version, since all the changes they did are in custom rom, and some minor changes, which you dont really need...
will update OS when new version of WM6 comes out, untill then, just custom it with all the updates people found out.
Im actually using this ROM right now and i like alot better than v2. with this one im getting about 21 mb's of ram. and also with this one i've noticed that the battery doesnt run down as low as the other versions. One thing i did not like as how sim manager waS not in the programs menu. i had to manually put it there but all is well now. I'll keep the updates coming guys. oh yeah and guys please dont post links to these ROMS, I know for a fact none of us want this awesome site being taken from us. I really appreciate your guys time and efforts.

I don't have PDAviet2, but between PDAviet1 and PDAviet3, not much changed.
I have attached a ZIP with a PDF of the file differences (minus the registry changes, of course)
Other differences, WM5 storage is working awesome on this version. a couple of visual differences oh and also one thing i noticed with v2 was that it had a horrible memory leak. V3 does not have that problem.

i think this files are from TCPMPlayer... most of them... and those links and ini files are just some app stuff...

V2 has no memory leak.... i tested it.... u probably put some app on it that had the memory leak..

Maybe a stupid question, but regarding the speed at which different WM6 roms are coming out, i'm wondering. Is it possible to create/download one registry key (which you can import on your device's registry) in which all recommended performance tweaks are build in and all other recommended tweaks? For instance all the tweaks mentioned here http://www.pocketpctweaks.com/pocketpc_tweaks/view_all_tweaks and in the xda wizard wikki.
Would be great to just import one file instead of doing all those tweaks all over again one by one. Saves a lot of time if you like to keep up with the newest WM6 roms

Actually - no, it wouldn't. After installing all my apps and my registry changes I have more than 31 MB free!
I haven't tried version 1 and 2, but this versions have all the changes founded in this forum, they even remove faria logo So , if you want to start with crossbow, use tis rom.

Wifi problem
First of all, thanks for this ROM.
I think wifi doesn't work. After flashing Com manager show that WIFI is on but the systray icon doesn't appear even after switch off and on the wifi.
I have to rollback to another Rom and Wifi work fine.
I hope you find an issue.

Is the Bluetooth working in this ROM?
having problem with joystick with this OS, doesnt do up and right, just left and down, which is annoyin, any1 else having this issue, didnt happen with wm6
Edit_1 : Jus cleaned the phone, the joystick area, got it working but not as it use to be, had another sp5, swapped the joystick board its workin much better now.

Yes, you can always flash back to any other rom.
@illi So you are finally in business!!! Were you able to figure out Nitro's Kitchen? I was able to Cook a ROM, haven't bothered to flash it. Im happy with Nitros Platinum as my main phone ROM. Am still waiting for a 6.1 aswell. Keep in touch mate.

Well - it took me all of 2 minutes to search the forum and find out how to change the PP to 8MB before flashing my Uni, so I don't really see the difficulty myself

with 8PP set on 64MB uni, 23 MB memory free but with nothing installed.
Not testing bluetooth + wifi yet....
P.S. 1: No andvanced wifi settings in rom - how can we boost signal? uni has already bad wifi b card.
Also poor Comm Manager.
P.S. 2: with a keyboard, and 2 small programs fall to 22,5MB -VERY GOOD.....
but while adding Touch Commander suite (without cube) memory fall to 13 MB!!!! and installed it in storage card (not in phone memory)

A screenshot wouldn't help - this is a pretty vanilla WM6.1 ROM, but it *is* fast, and it *does* have lots of free space on initial (cold) boot.
Sadly, I have already installed some stuff, so I can't remember exactly what was available 'cold', but it was over 30MB Storage, and around 28MB Program on my 64MB Uni.

Kudos for this - so far it's fast, light and stable!
I'd like to use this as a basis for cooking my own ROM with a few additions (like wktask, and maybe even Opera 9.5), but am getting a *lot* of "Missing RGU" errors from PKGTool. Is this a problem, or were those RGUs not used for a reason?
I looked in the 'dump' directory, and none of the RGUs exist anywhere...

Given it a go...Browser will not run for me, not suprising as it's based on a rom for which Browser crashes.
Any idea what it could be, as I'm assuming Browser (and therefore email and market!) work for most people. I've been wiping before flashing, and have tried a new, formatted mSD card. Other things seem to work fine, phonecalls, sms etc.
Would love to get these newer rom's working as they feel a lot faster!

I just added the italian's one to the cyanogen's list... don't know witch carrier do you have, I'll see if I could find the settings for it!

Here is the lastest build from HTC, custom (icon and new mui) by me!
2015/2016 works with same speed, so if run actually the 2015 no need to change (Don't change a winner team)
Try it at your own risk!
*Make Backup of your sms before, and restore sms after installation**You can also make a complete backup*
Installation for 2015 or 2016:
-First unzip the file in your storage card
-Disable Sense,
-Soft reset,
-Install cab at the end refuse the soft reset,
-replace the all.mui in \windows, (1 mui for 2015 and 3mui for 2016)(Inclued in the zip file)
-soft reset, enable sense!
Have fun you have secure box on Messaging Client 2015/2016 (1.8)

For install MMS Fix no need stop Sense, just run the cab and soft reset
-Some stock 1.66 (WWE) user can't use it, impossible to know why because some people with same rom can!!
-Use 2015 version for NGR Rom user
-Same for Stock 1.66 rom 2.13 TMO stock ROMS appears to bugs...
-don't forget, backup sms ->Delet all->upgrade->apply backup
-For no WWE user don't forget the chek the link just above!

Link ok now, enjoy, i delet all my sms, i wait 1000 sms to test speed, but appears to be most smooth!

Don't know sorry, beacause i don't use it so my registry is set up to disable it, i will modify it later, test it and feedback if you actualy us secure box!

I replace chinese button and dll (for future test for secure box)
so sorry to be repatative but which one has the secure box the first or second cab

My registry sucks!!!! I set Secure mod on, i save soft reset, and it return by itself to 0!!!!!!! WTF!
hmmm im on energys latest rom, this cab doesnt work for me :/ followed exact instructions but im still left with crappy winmo default
what a waste..

Hmm, haven't had much joy with this. I'm running a TMOUS HD2 with 2.10 stock ROM - notably, I've also installed HTC Messaging 2014 and a fix for the sent message notifications. Tried uninstalling 2014 & fix, then installing 2015 - no joy, it defaulted to the WinMo default messaging. Tried installing 2015 over 2014 instead - this worked, and the version was showing correctly - but every time I opened a conversation, there would be no messages. They showed fine in the Inbox view, and fine in standard view, just not in conversation view - no message history.
Anyone else tried this with TMOUS, or over 2014?
