Andrea thank you SOOOO much! Just a quick question. I updated yesterday (after 7 months) to the Qteks latest WWE rom - (2.20.7.34WWE) 7/10/06
Radio: 2.47.21
ext rom: 2.20.7.114.
So two questions:
a. Is the Greek version newer?
b. Can I have English system menus (I hate the Greek ones) but be able to write Greek on the Phonepad? (this is the only reason I want Greek - I understand that there is no Greek T9 anyway)

a. It's excactly the same version as the one you mentioned.
It just adds greek support

Try this
1) extract nk.nbf using typhoonnbfdecode or a similar one
2) flash 8002000-os.nb using awizard
You will still need to transfer ext.rom and radio rom manually.
If anyone knowledgeable is willing to create an executable for g4, go ahead because i don't have a g4 device.

me too and I have a G3 version

I installed the 2.2.0 english version and that saved the day.

I realy don't know.
I've flashed it thousands of times on g3 models. i've also flashed it many times on g4 models but with aWizard.
What I would do in your case, is to extract the nbf and flash it with aWizard.

Change language from French to English (Qtek S200)

I did search the forum, but I couldnt find the answer.
Im sorry if I missed it and Im openin new thread.
Here is my problem:
I was wondering is there any way to change the language from french to english? I got Qtek S200 (Version de ROM: 2.15.7.38 FRE)

No way to switch in your current configuration ... you must change your ROM tto a WWE version like those discusses here.
The fun begins .............

i think i'ts the same form nld tot wwe that would be no problem if I do that to connect with the belgium mobiel phone network (I live in belgium)

When you change the ROM it changes the brain on your phone, including the language. The safest choice is an official ROM with novenderID at the end of the file name. For instance the Dopod, which I am using, or go one step further to the new Qtek WWE ROM. I doesn't matter which ROM you install, you will be able to change the settings to accommodate your service provider, although it probably won't be automatic.

Go here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/. Look up how to go to the ftp site. Look under Prophet ROMs. You'll find answers to a lot of your questions at the wiki.

Hi,
Actually you can!
If you manage to get both French and English versions upgrades ROM from QTEK website you can try this procedure that I figured out.
1. Extract all the files (french and english) in separate directories using Winrar or any similar tools
2. Launch as if you wanted to upgrade a french rom as normally done
3. Stop at the screen after all checks are completed (that is when the upgrade button appears)
4. Replace the french .nbf with the english .nbf file while keeping the french name. Thus is the trick, the nbf file will then pushed to your phone...
5. Continue with upgrade as usual.
6. Upgrade should go on and you should be done.

I can read chinese, still have no idea what are the steps, do you need to use the rom kitchen to cook your own rom? where are the finished rom product? I dont mind have a chinese rom on my prophet G4 in USA, no one will steal it

用这个rom很久了，很稳定,没什么明显的bugs...

Just a thought: if this rom is so stable, can someone change the font/location to English as well? I'm new to the rom cooking business. Just the wince change?

I start to convert some ROMs to German. I think, if i know enough ... its easy to change to English!
The main part ... is more find the right MUI Files ... put in the Image ... Edit some Reg Entrys.
If i know more ... i will try this Rom and Convert!

... or take the drivers (battery etc) and put them in the wizard rom...
How can you be sure that the drivers are made for the prophet? Is this a leaked rom for the prophet or from another device?

scott4, i'm afraid you are wrong. This rom does not contain any prophet drivers. It is just another hacked version of a wizard rom. (that's why it still contains xda_batfix.exe, and you can see the wiza200 model).

is this a clean rom?

The exe file downloaded does not execute. Is there a newer link for the finished rom?
After reviewing, it was because downloads are never completed. I got 34 mb out of 40 some mb. Anyone can host this file on another site or another download link?

WM6.1 Portugese for beginners

I am now making a kitchen for a Portugese edition.
It is the same base as i used at our Dutch WM6.1 Editon
Basis:
- SLIM 3.1 5.2.199
- CoffieROM PTG
I use the CoffieROM for the first translations.
I replace in the SLIM edition all 409 MUI with a 816 MUI if avauilable or i renamed this to 816 so that you van see some txt
I test this kitchen now on duplicate files. and then i placed this kitchen in this thread.
I was asked to help and i cant send more than 7 MB so i do it on this wasy.
It is a good start.
But before starting to make a own ream read al informating about "cooking" roms.
also very important 9100 must be CID unlocked. If it a G3 or G4 could also make some difference.

Iam now uploading the hole content in 4shares. In the kitchen renamed os.nb, as named as txt file. Only then you get a os-new.nb file who you can convert to nk.nbf
I dont test this kitchen but i think it wil work (iam not a language mirracle ). I create a Dutch version on the same way. But the Portugese Coffie consist more progs.
If there are some difficulties it could be the initfiles.dat. If he diddnt want to realign, you must create a 0 kb file named as welcome.not on your SD card then he skipped this option.
If you dont heve these problems SD card must be out. How many times i ferget this ahhhhhhhhhh.
It is a start. There are more OEM packages (oa JustClean) but not all will work
Before je press the start.bat butten press first G'Reloc (.VM)
Now i go finnish our Dutch version.

I ve now a working .588 (Diamond) with the same OS. I want it to translate it to Dutch and also to a Portugese version

One question how do you solve the issue, that MS only have Portuguese Language to WM6, not to WM 6.1 ?

I must extract it from a PTG Kaiser with Bepe's kitchen if had that richt, thats all.
First i do some work on a Dutch Edition. This one has the same translate problems as the PTG edition i Think

I have a PTG kaiser rom with the desired 816 lang files.
But first i am now busy with replacing the 409 with 413 files. The only problem then that 9100 would't get to the startup screen mhm
with the 409 files no problemo....
So there is maybe something wrong within the 413 files. Maybe intitflashfiles.dat io suppose. If that solverd i do the same trick with the 816 files.

Otherwise it must be in the os.nb fileenamed to 800400.nb. That is i think a 40'er
