Hello I have big problem with my SDIO Wi-fi card!
I bought Safecom card SDIO for Wlan and I have installed WM 5 1.60b 96 on my Qtek 2020 and card just does not work! The blue signal light just does not blink - as it should! So I baddly needed Wi-fi and I downgraded to WM 2003SE - where the card worked - perfectly. I could pull it out and plug it in with no errors, but here when I instaled drivers it said it were not ment for this tipe of OS - like almost all programs! I turned to manufacturer and they told me it was only for WM 2003 - not even 2003SE!?!
I saw similar post for the problem and it said that they use WM 5 1.6a - but with that version I had alredy have had quite a bit probems with phone operation - it didn't work. Help me please - I just cannot downgreade to WM 2003SE any more - I can't stand OS with non persistent memory, excell with no graphs, poorer graphics, no power point... any more!
PLEASE HELP ME! ANYONE!
HELP HELP HELP!!!
I have a I-Mate Pocket PC Phone Edition imaged with the ShekharAKU3.5b.R40.P24_public WM5 ROM. I also have a 4GB SD card, Nokia BH-501 Stereo Headset and a Bluetooth GPS receiver. It all works great and helps combine all the devices I have. The software I've installed on top of the ROM - which isn't much;
Tomtom 6 with Australia and North America Maps
Flv plugin for TCPMP
A2DP Registy hack for better Blue tooth Sound
Skype for Pocket PC
Google Maps
Problem 1) Tomtom Navigator - When opening Tomtom 6 sometimes it cannot find the maps which are on the 4GB SD Card. The only way to get it to work is to remove the SD card. Reboot the PDA and then insert the card before opening Tomtom. I think this may have something to do with the RAMdrive in the ROM. I have checked the registry to see if there is any entries specific to the map so I can specifically mention the maps being on the "Storage Card" but cant find anything. Any one else experiencing this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it? I googled it and found - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-navigator-registry-hack.php
Problem 2) T-Mobile Settings - I have set my GPRS settings to wap.voicestream.com. I can make and receive calls, although being in Australia at the moment its very expensive, I can even surf the net. I want to load Blackberry connect, which I have, and use my PDA as an all-in-one unit rather then separate devices. It will save me carrying 4 devices and having 4 different chargers.
When I load Blackberry connect, I can't establish a secure connection to blackberry.net. It tries and then disconnects. Still no luck. Any ideas on this too??
If anyone could help I would be so greatful its driving me nuts wiping it everytime I make a mistake.

I have followed the link but there doesn't seem to be anything there that helps. Have I missed something.
orbit
did you 'configure' the gps in tomtom? it should be set to nmea other, 5700 baud and com4 I think from memory. Don't see why it shouldn't work together
at the bottom of this link it tells you how to configure:
Installation of TomTom Navigator onto the XDA is straightforward - you need to connect the XDA Orbit to the PC using ActiveSync, then install TomTom using the setup application on the TomTom CD. Due to the amount of space needed for the maps, you'll need to install to the Micro SD card.
If you're looking for information on how to get TomTom Navigator working with your o2 XDA Orbit, the following might be of use:
After you have installed TomTom Navigator successfully, here's how to get the Orbit's built-in GPS receiver to work with TomTom
Start > Settings > 'System' tab > GPS
From the GPS settings 'Programs' tab, set the "GPS program port" to a spare COM port - COM4 works for us
Close the dialog by selecting 'Ok'
Now, open TomTom Navigator. Go to the menu, select 'Change preferences' > 'Show GPS status'. Next, press the 'Configure' button
Scroll through the predefined GPS receivers, and select ' Other NMEA GPS device'. Press 'Select'
Next, set the baud rate. The default of 4800 worked fine for us, but we also had good results with the maximum speed of 115200. Then press 'Done
Finally, set the COM port to the port selected earlier, e.g. COM4
sorry saw what you meant but does not seem to work
Hi guys thanks so much for your help. I did what you said again and left it for a few minutes and it connected maybe because of it not being used before. Then again I could be wrong BUT IT WORKS NOW. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP
Good to hear you sorted it and don't forget to run QuickGPS once a week if not set on automatic.
TomTom does not seem to use QuickGPS (for me at least).
Takes a while to get a lock in TomTom, whereas in Copilot7 it takes only seconds.
