Research on Cheeta Sim unlock - Palm Treo 750

Hi,
Hows it going with treo 750 simunlock. please be kind enough post your work on latest cheeta unlocker.
many thanks

Perhaps you'd like to lead things off?
Typically being a new member and demanding information is seen as a bit rude.
And if you need an unlock right away, IMEI Check always works.

Man, he has donated to this site (and quite a bit), so cut him some slack, please

Still no need to be demanding.

I'm sorry, but what about his post is "demanding"??? He's not demanding anything at all; he's asking nicely is anyone has any information on how to unlock it besides IMEI-Check; that's all.

^^^What he said. I think it is a very polite post. People really need to stop looking for hostility where there is none to be found.

Since this is your first post I will point you in the right direction.
First see the fist link in my signature. This will teach you the in's and out's of posting.
1. I think what you mean is the cube if I not mistaken. You can get the touch interface (cube)by downloading this. Poorly Duck's Cubes
2. GPS is already activated. I would suggest downloading Google Maps or Live Search for the mobile. You should be able to find both of these by searching google. Google Maps & Windows Live Search Mobile
3. To watch youtube. Download first this app. TCPMP .72
Then download this one. FlashVideoBundle
Click on Video Sites from Start > Programs and you should be able to select either YouTube...Google Video what have you.
Next time you want to find something you are looking for I would do this.
Use Google Advanced search by clicking on this link.Google Advanced Search and then put XDA in front of anything you are looking for.
well, i guess this being like the 100th new stupid question thread this week goes to prove that consolidating the threads did not fix the laziness/ignorance of new members...
vBullentin has a module that makes member's read preselected threads before being able to read any other thread and post. I hope the admin takes it into consideration. It well surely save all this clutter.
thank you very much....
i will read the instruction for posting before posting next time...

Please we are trying to keep this thread away from hateful responses. In the past week or two there has been a real negative vibe floating around this forum. I myself had resulted to some pretty rude criticism or other members. I would ask that you please refrain from using negative language and patronizing other members. I just know from experience that continuing down this path just leads to bad things. Thank you.

Best WM 6.1 ROM/Radio for Rogers

Ok, so I have literally spent hours reading up on and printing out information on upgrading my Tilt and I think I am ready to take the next step. I am currently using an unlocked AT&T Tilt on Rogers here in Canada and my objectives are to upgrade the OS to WM6.1 and get rid of all of the AT&T "bloatware" that slows me down and takes up precious memory.
My question is...are there any ROM/Radio combinations that work better than others on Rogers? Or, is this even a logical question?
In other words, I know ROM choices are pretty much a personal thing but is there anything I should be aware of when selecting a combination for a specific carrier.
Or perhaps a better way to put it is, is there any I should stay away from?
I am hoping that there are others on the forums that are also on Rogers and have had the opportunity to "test" different ROM/Radio combinations.
if you've spent literal hours looking up all this info, you would have seen that threads like this are totally forbidden. In before lock.
Please enlighten me. It is not mentioned in the RULES or FAQ's and it did not come up in several searches I did. What did I miss?
I thought the purpose of a forum was to share information. Or is this forum only for those who already know all the answers?
And what do you mean by "in before lock"?

New Here: I need help

So I've tried reading through some of the introduction threads, but there's so many jargon terms thrown out casually that I have no idea what half the posts are talking about.
I just "exchanged" my old AT&T Tilt for the AT&T Fuze, and I'm loving it. However, I want to update my ROM to windows mobile 6.5, and get into customizing it a bit. I know the first part is the hardest, because you run the risk of bricking the phone.
Since I have no experience doing this, could someone help walk me through the process?
I know I most likely want a 'cooked' ROM, and I've read the tutorial a few times, I'm just not sure I'm understanding it correctly due to some of the terminology. I'm also not entirely sure what ROM I want yet, and was hoping someone might be able to point me towards one that fits my needs.
Again, sorry if I'm asking when I just just be leaping. Will someone please hold my hand and give me some chocolate milk and talk me through changing the ROM? >.<

Thanx for your reply, it proves you didn't read my post at all.
well if you had clicked his link you would realize that post is exactly what you were asking for.
also. No one can pick out a ROM for you. Browse through them and test a few out. it only takes a few moments to flash a new ROM to your phone.
What terminology are you having trouble with? if you search for it in the wiki or in the post that was linked above then you will undoubtedly find an explanation.
A good site for general overview, if you can handle the writing style, is blown fuze. I gained a lot of info reading this, even though I don't have a Fuze yet (but would like to get one).

take the time to click the link and it will provide you all the instructions needed. Everything is explained in full detail even providing the program you need to flash a new rom, so you should really really click before you complain.
trust me, that link on flashing your first gsm rom is as complete as you get, unless you want big pretty pictures or a video.

Having looked at all the stickies first rom flashing looks easier on this than on my old wizard. I found the sim unlocking, cid and super cid unlocking at first but I read everything twice and it worked okay for me

Thank you for actually reading my post, I greatly appreciate it.
To everyone else, I DID click the link, and read it several times before even posting. If you had bothered to read my post, you would have noticed I referenced it several times. I took the time to read before posting, you could at least have the civil decency to do the same.
@ Theoneeye, thank you for the assurance, I tracked down someone who was able to answer some ROM questions for me and help me find a good starting ROM and assist me with the process to make sure I don't brick my phone on my first go at it.
Normally I just try things like this, and if it fails, try again until it works. However, since I read up on this first (even though everyone here seems to think I didn't) I know I run the risk of bricking my phone. Since I've gone through several exchanges already to get this phone for free (long story) I don't wanna be swapping another phone so soon.
To those who still bother to read posts, any input you can provide on your ROM choices, or the other half of my post regarding some things I should look into installing, I would appreciate it.
To anyone else who's going to continue to refer me to that sticky instead of reading, please **** off.
wow. I'm surprised. If you actually read through the link several times and you still did not get it, you were skimming it or you really really do not have a strong grasp on the english language.
Hell, it's even numbered. How much easier would you prefer. If you want suggestions for ROM choices, it is entirely up to you. Every rom has their own unique "style" that they offer and they describe it all in the first post. Energy, NATF, etc all explain their roms in great details and some even provide extra steps.
My blunt suggestion here is that before you tell others to **** off for referring you to where everyone else has use as reference and successfully performed a flash, you should save your rudeness for yourself. Also, if you have any questions on terminology, ask which jargon is throwing you a wrench in your direction following process. That would make it much easier to explain.
P.S: seriously read through that damn sticky, it is as clear as a swarovski crystal. Follow it step by step and don't "do your thing" and you'll have a successful flash.
btw. way to be a jackass to those who have already given you the answers you asked for.
EDIT: TLDR version. Be polite, and follow the directions to the letter. and ROMs are your personal choice since they're all unique and they come in full explanations as to their purpose.

I see your arrogance is getting you far
Just getting into this meself and so far it looks like...
- sort out the hardSPL update first to let you do the ROM and other upgrades...
- once it says 1.90.OliNex on the bootloader fetch the new ROM
- reading around and going by most references the Energy 6.5 ROM seems to be worth a shot, think that's what I'll be installing on my TP
- while you're at it search for aerial upgrades and put a newer version on at the same time to sort out GPS and phone performance.
Just make sure you follow the instructions to the letter, don't run anything else on the PC while updates are being done and check, check and triple check the ROMS to make sure they're correct before doing anything

It's helpful knowing there's some decent people on these forums who are willing to help out. I was able to get the few basic questions I had regarding installation and some pointers to help me find a ROM that fits my needs. Since then I've done a few flashes and all have gone off without a hitch.
To those of you who continue to think I'm being rude, you seem to fail to realize the ignorance and blatant 'ass hattery' in repeatedly referring someone to read something they already read without providing any additional information. It comes across as very condescending, and isn't helpful at all.
Speaking of "It comes across as very condescending, and isn't helpful at all."
If you want help here this is NOT the way to get it.
This is a community of great minds and mutual respect, not somewhere for someone to start making demands and throwing out general negativity.
No one here thinks you continue to be rude, THEY CAN READ IT FOR THEMSELVES.
Everyone here is willing to help, but you need to help yourself first. You're off to a really great start....

Sorry Dracius, i'm with the majority of people here who think you're rude and havent understood the idea of this site - its a community developement site, not a one-stop download & personal tech support center.
The instructions in the flashing guide are exactly what you need to start you off in the world of flashing roms. It has a "before you start" backup part - with a link to free backup software.
It then goes on to explain exactly and in detail how to flash (GSM) hard spl - including a link and instructions to ensure you have a GSM phone. It also tells you to ensure you dont have any other programs running / screen saver etc which might throw a spanner in the works.
Following that, it says - if you want to - how to sim & security unlock the phone, including the required link.
Next it details how to flash a rom, including a very helpful line
1. Download your prefered Rom from the Raphael Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your computer
Click to collapse
Your prefered rom - remember this is a guide on how to flash - not what to flash. To decide that, read the details in the rom forum, read other users feedback - and then when it doesnt help, do what everyone else does and try half a dozen to see what it is you want your phone to be like.
Finally, the guide tells you how to flash a different radio - and again says this is optional. It then links to a radio thread which explains what the radio does and why you might want to flash it.
If you have a problem with any part of the process (or pretty much anything related to your phone) then (after searching & reading) make a post explaining what your problem is - and what you have done to help yourself (say exactly which threads you have read, and why they dont help you / what you dont understand) - people will generally help.
This isnt what you did.

[Q] Sync MS MyPhone Calendar & Contacts on HTC HD2

Have searched but had no luck finding an answer. Can anyone help please ?
I have a HTC HD2 & I use MyPhone regularly to backup/sync events, messages and contacts.
I prefer to enter new calendar events on MyPhone, as it's easier to type the details in, and I can enter them quite quickly.
But there is NOWHERE near the functionality on the MyPhone website, as there is in the calendar-function of the phone itself..... eg: I cannot set an event to be recurring, or a "remind-before" alarm, etc, etc, using the MyPhone service.
The same can be said for entering new contacts using MyPhone. There simply aren't as many fields for entering details on the website UI, as there is in the phone itself.
So it seems pointless to use it at all. I fully understand that MyPhone is a generic system for backing-up details, over a wide range of phones that use WinMo, and each specific phone may have different fields to populate inside their specific contact or calendar functions.
Previous (Non-WinMo) phones that I've had (Like Nokias or SE's) have had their own specific utilities available for entering information on the PC, then sync'ing to the phone - and these incorporated all available entry fields, so that nothing was missed.... but MyPhone seems VERY basic in comparison.
So is there any other FREE programs I can use instead, to FULLY enter details in Calendar & Contacts, to then sync with the HD2 ?
Or do I have to go thru the process of adding ALL my contact/calendar events via the phone itself, if I want to populate ALL the relevant fields available????
Please Note: I DO NOT use address books or email programs, such as Outlook, that I can set up to sync. I have Win7 on my home PC which does not have Outlook or O-Express. I DO use Thunderbird for email, but don't have an Address Book saved, as I rarely email people - usually text only !!!

Maybe if you posted this is the HD2 Q&A forum, you would get an answer.
Reading the FAQ on the MS website for MyPhone would help you out, reading the help in MyPhone would help you out. There are so many options. Even posting the question in the WM Q&A forum would provide you with more people willing to help you. Double posting and getting mad because people are not helping you isn't exactly going to make people jump on here breaking their necks to help you out.

I'm not getting mad...... I'm not expecting to be spoon-fed.... but I DO expect SOMEONE, after 80+ views, and 2 days, surely SOMEONE would have some helpful suggestions for me ???
Thankyou for your input though.....
I think YOU should read the forum RULES, before jumping on your keyboard-warrior bandwagon, as they clearly state: " YOU WILL GET THE HELP YOU NEED HERE: ...............There will be more users reading your question here and willing to help, than in any other section of the XDA Forums...... It is NOT likely that your question will NOT get answered the first time it is posted here, but in the event that it doesn't, DO NOT GIVE UP! Some questions are harder to answer than others, even for the most experienced users, but you will have someone who is trying to give you the help you need! "
I don't think I was unreasonable waiting 2 days and then bumping to the top.
How about you spend less time criticising other users for their lack of skills and knowledge, and more time helping them and offering useful suggestions.
I would still appreciate any helpful suggestions from other members, if they care to share ???

My sincere apologies. I bow down to your superior intellect, in that I should misunderstand the terminology used.
On every other forum I have ever used, a Double Post is what happens when you (usually) accidentally post the same message twice, as 2 separate threads.... OR..... accidentally post a message twice in the same thread.
Bumping my post up to the top again is a common and expected thing to do in a forum.
Waiting 2 days for a response, before bumping/double-posting is not what anyone could call unreasonable.
The rules themselves say to NOT GIVE UP if you don't get a response. How else am I going to get a reponse, if I don't bump it to the top. YOU obviously didn't see/read my post the first time...as you didn't offer me your fountains of wisdom at any point in the last 2 days.
Again - I don't think it was unreasonable to bump my post - with a bit of a query - as to why so many people viewed it, but offered no assistance.
I do not have to justify myself to you, or anyone else, as to how much searching I have already done, trying to answer this question. But because you appear to only be 8 years old, i'll be explicit.
I have searched in several forums - both here and elsewhere. Just because I have not posted the same question in another section of THIS website, does not mean I have not already searched.
I have searched, and not found the answer. Therefore, I ask the question in a forum EXPLICITLY set up for that exact purpose.
You can try all you want to win that argument but you will FAIL.

What are we? 8 years old? For Fuk sake, grow up !!!
I didn't start MY post with the intention of it becoming an argument..... YOU turned it into an argument, with your immature attempts at be-littling me, for being less-able to find the answers I needed.
SECOND: AGAIN, you show how slow you really are if you really expect people to believe that finding the HD2 forum here at XDA is a hard thing to do

YOU may have no life, but I have other better things to do with my time, than to sit at my PC 24/7 reading/posting/trawling through countless threads and posts on the massively-accurate interwebz.
Did my OP say that I had not read the HD2 specific forums here? Or elsewhere? No, it didn't. Don't try to judge my level of searching-skills, as you have no idea how much time i've spent researching for answers.
I posted a "please help me" question in a "please help me" forum. Nothing wrong with doing that. It's the ENTIRE reason this forum is here.
..... I said "even posting" it there............would suggest that you had yet another option

I did not ask "please tell me where to post this question so I don't offend anyone?"
Your response is irrelevant...... the links or "other suggestions" you have provided ARE of use to me, and I thank you for them. I am now researching answers there too, during the limited spare-time I have... but trying to chastise me for not thinking of those options myself in the first place, merely shows your own ignorance and immaturity.
So now that I've crushed your little attempt at making a point. How about you take the time to educate yourself in the forums provided. You might even learn something about fixing your problem...

WOW... with a whole 74 posts to your name, you MUST be the most educated, knowledgeable, useful, helpful person on these forums. Again, I bow down to your superior intellect !!!
Who the fuk are you to "educate" me on how to use these forums? Are you a Moderator? Are you an Admin? NO. You're just some stuck-up little smart-arse who spends all your time "educating" other forum users as to how stupid they are.
Belt up, get a life, and fuk off.
And by the way, I did check to see if you took the time to ask the question anywhere else AFTER I posted this.....

What a useful and appropriate use of your own time. Ha ha.... what are you, a school-teacher checking my bibliography, to ensure I haven't plagiarised my assignment !!!!!
I never said I asked the question in another forum here.... I merely asked if YOU wasted your time checking up on me to see if I did.

My point made exactly.
It would be different if iI was on here just calling you stupid because you asked a question. Of course that is not what I'm doing...

REALLY? So what IS it exactly that you are doing ????? Coz calling me stupid, drunk and slow seems to be EXACTLY what you are doing here !!!
I'm pointing out facts about your lack of research skills.....

Well THANKYOU mister school-teacher. If I had perfect research skills, I would have found the answer myself, and would not have needed to ask for help.
What I will never understand is why people like you post something or say something and then get mad when someone tells you that you are wrong ......

As mentioned before... who the fuk are YOU to decide what IS and ISN'T a relevant, appropriate question for someone to ask ????? You are NOTHING on here. 74 posts. Obviously NOT very helpful to other users. Who are YOU to "correct" other users on the appropriateness of their posts. Who are YOU to "educate" others that they SHOULD have searched elsewhere. Who are YOU to "tell someone they are wrong" ???
Mate - get off your pedestal, and get a life. Go breathe some fresh air or jump in front of a bus or take a walk or something else more useful. Coz you're only showing everyone on here that you're an intolerant wanker with nothing to offer in terms of helping others.
Honestly, it amazes ME the number of people who feel the need to reply to forum questions, with criticism, rather than with assistance.
If people KNEW or FOUND the answers themselves, there would be NO NEED for forums like these.
Honestly, if you can't answer someone's question, don't waste your time, their time, or other-users' time, posting pointless diatribes.

Look you inane little waste of space. First of all you stupid comments about not having the time to find the forums is ABSURD. If you don't have 2 seconds to SCROLL down on the page to see the forum clearly marked WITH PICTURES to boot, you ARE an idiot.

I never said I didn't have the time to scroll down. I never said that I DIDN'T scroll down. I don't need you to treat me like a child and put pretty pictures all over your reply. Big fukn deal.
The FACT of the matter is this: I searched in the specific forum you mentioned, plus others, both here and elsewhere, I could not find the answers I needed, so I asked a question in a forum here DESIGNED FOR THAT PURPOSE.
And all YOU could do was tell me how stupid I was.
If the Admins or Mods (people that actually matter) found it to be a problem, they would have contacted me by now.
I couldn't give a rats left testicle if you think i'm stupid, lazy, and blocked me. I'm so hurt by this fact, I might jump off a bridge !
I attacked your post count as I'm trying to be as childish as you have displayed to me.
You want to try and attack me because of ONE typo on the word DRUNK?

Yeah - childish and annoying, isn't it. If you spent more time checking what you were saying to me, instead of trying to belittle me and embarass me in the big bad world of the interwebz, you wouldn't have made this OBVIOUS ERROR. You see... even YOU are not perfect.
You ... have exposed your self as a lazy, ignorant person who lacks not only reading skills but common sense.

OK... I am slow. Doesn't that mean I deserve other more intelligent beings helping me out, because i'm too stupid to work it out for myself?
Going by your own reasoning: what you are saying is that you ONLY help out other intelligent people with questions that YOU determine are worth asking..... but hang on.... if they were so intelligent, they wouldn't need help and wouldn't ask questions.... so.... what you're actually saying is that you DON'T HELP ANYONE AT ALL, because EVERYONE that asks for help is stupid, slow and an idiot. Now THAT is something you've made plainly obvious.
Get mad, call me namses......

Isn't that EXACTLY what you did in your FIRST post in response to me? (PS: Spelling again, idiot. Geez... it takes all of 2 seconds to proof-read your comments, before posting them..... urrrggghhhhh.... you lazy lazy little insignificant person, with no time to afford to do some simple speel-cheeking)
Speaking of that, you talk about me wasting time to see if you posted your question anywhere else

Why would you bother doing that, if you didn't have a high-and-mighty opinion of yourself. I have stated that I did not ask that same specific question recently in any of the other "specific" forums... yet you insisted on "checking-up" on my posts. Like you are some school-teacher checking my homework. The more you try to justify your reasons for attacking me, the more you show yourself to the world to be an imbecile, ignorant, childish and irrelevant.

Because I HATE stupid people. People like you are the reason why forums are cluttered up with igorant questions all of the time

Then don't read the damn forums then, if you get so angry at the rest of humanity being so ignorant and stupid. You obviously don't have the tolerance or intelligence to be able to assist anyone with their questions, so why bother reading them?
The ENTIRE purpose of online forums, is for stupid people to ask stupid questions about stupid topics that make no sense to them. And for non-stupid people to give non-stupid answers to try to help. If people weren't so stupid and ignorant, there would be no reason for forums to even exist. Statements of fact about problems belong on a dedicated wiki, or a website. Forums are for asking questions and giving suggestions or answers.
I'm adding you to my blocked user list because quite frankly.... you are truly wasted space on this planet

Is this a QUESTION? Would it, maybe, be better off in the Q&A forum?
Also do yourself a favour and read before asking questions that are simple to find the answer to please.
Thanks for the helpful reply.
If I understand you right, you'd like to remove Sense. To do this, you need to "root" your Phone and install an ICS-only-Rom. In this thread you can find many different ROMs, even Jelly Bean-ROMs and an instruction on how to root your Phone.
Hope I could help you

Sarcasm - well done you prat. If the 'Thanks meter' is anything to go by, then I am helpful - but when people ask such stupid, pointless questions as the OP without bothering to do any reading or searching first then they deserve the reply I gave. ANd what is wrong with me telling the OP that he has posted in the wrong forum? If people actually bothered to read or follow the rules of XDA then it would be a much better, more civilised place.
Once again - people who don't bother to read run a much greater risk of screwing up their phone permanently because they don't understand what they are doing, why they are doing it or how to fix it if something goes wrong. XDA is not a support site for people to ask daft questions - it is a Developers site. I appreciate that it has become overly popular and now everybody feels they have a 'right' to root their phone with no issues and a full expectation to treat the people on here as free tech-support, but that is not the reality of the situation.
If you have a problem with me then take it to PM and we will deal with it there, otherwise wind your neck in before your head gets taken off.

I don't have any problem with you, I'm only trying to say that you sometimes are a little bit uncomprehending with people that don't know so much as you. Don't get me wrong, you are great to this community, but sometimes you overreacted. You can scold and give advice but can respond debts, are nonsensical or not.

It isn't a matter of whether people are new here or uncomprehending - it is a simple matter of following the rules of XDA. Search before asking questions is one of the first, if not the first rule - yet nobody seems to bother doing it anymore.

You're quite right - he didn't like the answer because he doesn't like the rules. That doesn't mean that I am wrong to point it out to him.
Maybe we should apply the same attitude in society as a whole - I can just go out and break whatever laws I want, and if I get arrested I'll just tell the cops that I don't like the rules.
Simon is right here. Anyone wanting to root their phone, must at least take the pain to understand the process and the risks involved rather than jumping into flashing straightaway.
The problem is everyone is just too lazy to read and gather information and knowledge.
In fact everyone who has been on this forum for a while would have already spent quite some time reading about stuff before jumping into it.
As the warranty of Desire S has gotten over for a lot of people, we are seeing some super noobs around here.

How i root my phone was, i htcdev unlock, didnt know after this i could root my phone, i went straight to s-off it, bump into error 155, pull my battery a few times, stucked not at htc logo, but a red exclamation mark. bump into more issue, slept late, in the end i manage to root.
thank God i didnt brick my phone in the process. it was less than 3 months when i did that, and now i am a bit regretting it, as i unlock using htcdev and voided my warranty.
