As nobody has posted this information here before: there're some news in the Prophet upgrading scene
IPL/SPL 3.08 update is out (adapted from the official t-mobile Germany AKU3.3 for HTC Charmer, thanks to our friends from 4pda.ru).
Be attended that for the moment there're no downgrading experiences to the AKU2.2!
[edit 1] Some users reported that it definetly works for G3 devices.
So if you upgrade your device to IPL/SPL 3.08 you will possibly not be able to go back to your original IPL/SPL (warranty!). Test it on your own risk!

Since there're different upgrade IPL/SPL ROM's available you've exactly to know which device you're owned (G3 or G4).
The new radio rom is for both, G3 and G4.
Also a new radio ROM 2.69.21 is available (don't wonder about italian Wizard's update utility). All user experiences are welcome

It is not possible to downgrade ipl/spl at all.
I don't understand the confusion here
does it only work with aku 3.3 roms or it can work with the latest Qtek official rom (aku 2.2)?

There's no question about possibility to downgrade ipl/spl, there's a question about possibility to install an earlier AKU on such upgraded device, for example 220734_NoVID (AKU2.2).

I want to know, too.
If I upgrade to IPL/SPL 3.08, can I install 2.20 QTEK ROM on it?
THX it doesnt work on my G4!!
Now i reburn old OS to bring the system up and running! He enter only the Bootloader.

[edit 2] ok both doesnt work on a German S200 G4 (possible -> CID Lock make the problem!! or the firmware writer)
IPL/SPL Update hung at 2% and Radio Update too ... after them i must reburn the 02.61.21 Radio Rom
Note to every body ... dont use this upgrades!
[edit 3] i change now the firmware writer and test again!
[edit 4] ... redandr ... you use the wrong firmware writer! extract with winrar the Prophet_G3_G4_RadioRom_v2.61.21.exe in a directory. then i extract the nk.nbf file from your rom version ... then i put them over the v2.61.21 version and flash again ... then it works ... now i recompile the update and test ipl/spl update. if i am finish i upload a working version!!!

redandr use "ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe" it hungs after 2%
i use the Firmware Writer from last 2.61.21 "newromupdateutility_noid.exe"
Then it works ... tested on two German S200 G4

IPL/SPL doesnt work ... hung on 2% its a writer problem
Can somebody test it? Both Radio ROMs and tell use ... what version works?

For me Wizard's update utility worked without problems (for radio rom upgrade), didn't try to change ipl/spl (not necessary for me).
Radio Rom 2.69.21 works fine for me on my Qtek S200 G3... I used the upgrade from the first post... did not try the ipl/spl yet because I am not sure if need it...
so far, radio rom 2.69.21 is very good... I had some problem with 2.47 and 2.61 (phone not ready...)... but with this one, it seems to be ok...
Hello, sorry for my inexperience, so that it serves to update the IPL/SPL 3.08?. The fact is that really not so that it serves this update. That of the already this updated radio and working perfectly, even would say that the coverage gsm has improved.

hey guys i am a new poster but i have a problem with my o2 xda neo.
it has IPL: 2.09 and SPL: 2.13.
Does this means it is a G3 ?????
the point is i tried to update its rom with this one: "RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_QTEK_WWE_Ship_GREEK2.2.0"
and it stucks in 96% always with an "update error 300"
now i am stuck in the bootloader screen and i dont know what ROM to use !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did i tried a wrong ROM and destoyed the phone ???????????
p.s. : the phone had an imate rom installed so it wasnt cid locked

As written in the wiki the 2.xx.000x defines wether G3 or G4.
.0000 -> G3
.0001 -> G4

thanks for the welcome Gambit999 but i cant see a .0000 or a .0001 to define if its a G3 or G4.
In the bootscreen theres only IPL: 2.09
SPL: 2.13
and nothing more!!!

If you have only IPL 2.09 its G3 too!

This is what my PDA shows at start up:
IPL:2.09
SPL:2.09.0000
GSM: 02.07.20
OS: 2.9.7.24
Is it a G3 or G4 device? In the wiki it says that when SPL finishes in 000 is G3 and when it finishes in 0001 is a G4 device. But mine finishes in 0000! So, it's G3 or G4?

Same question here I have a Qtek S200 as well.
I would say G3 but wait for others to reply. Look at my specs 2.09.0001 and it is a G4.

I have 2.10.0000 spl and had been advised to use G3 utility
I have used many without problems
Now on the Wizard thread I read the following:
G3 DEVICE: IPL/SPL: 1.XX or 2.XX or 2.XX.00X (only two zeros)
G4 DEVICE: IPL/SPL: 2.XX.000X(three zeros)

So, how do you go about to CID-unlock your device? First, do you really have to? Well, in one word YES!, in order to install most of the custom-made ROMs from this site you have to have a device that is CID-unlocked...
If you have a G3 device the solution is pretty straightforward. just look here...
If you have a G4 device you have to go to imei-check.co.uk and pay £20 in order to get it unlocked. But you can help develop a solution that doen't require you to pay for it. Have a look at this thread.
NOTE: There are several posts that mention this subject, some claim that using the imei-check.co.uk method will not CID-unlock your device but only unlock the SIM. THIS IS NOT CORRECT! Your G4 device will be unlocked after this procedure.
Finally, never, ever, flash your G4 device with a ROM that is intended for a G3 device, make sure that is either made for G4 or doesn't contain a bootloader. If you for some reason you do, you'll have damaged (bricked) your Wizard permanently...
