I'm looking for a screen cover for P3600.I tried a cheap one but with that touch screen doesn't worked at all. Everything ok when removed.
I purchased a screen protector from expansys when I bought my 3600, and it was crap. The worst screen protector I've ever had and it cost me £5! not happy at all.
I took a chance a couple of days before christmas and bought a cheap one from a seller on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Screen-Protec...hZ004QQcategoryZ58540QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem
Cost me £3.98 with the delivery, very good screen protector. Easy to apply and very clear. Best I've found for a while. I will be buying a few more to use in the future.

I had an extra screen protector that I had bought from PPC Techs for my Prophet. I was happy to find that it fit my Trinity perfectly. I have tried Write Shields and Brando and for me the PPC Tech satin finish is the best. They aren't cheap, but worth every penny.
For me, Martin's Fields Overlay Plus is the best! doml.com
There are no specific WriteShields for Trinity.
Would a Hermes protector fit well?
I use the ultra clear screen protector from Brando and it is one of the best I have ever tried. Almost invicible and the colors are just as clear as without it. The surface is great for writing with the stylus and it is easy to clean it.
I have had it off and washed it under warm water to get it completely clean - no problem, it was as good as new. Think the price was $10 (US).
I've been using Brando UltraCleare Screen Protectors On HP 4150, Dell X51v and now on 2 Trinity's (one mine, one belongs to mi girl-friend). Haven't seen anything better so far.
You can get them from www.inkino.co.uk, but if you pop in to their shop, they might aswell aply it for you properly...
IMO, the Martin Fields (overlayplus.com) and BoxWave ClearTouch Crystal are the two best screen protectors on the market. I highly endorse both.
Speaking of screen protectors...does anyone know if a protector designed for the HTC Herald will fit the Trinity? I have one on hand and thought it might do the job since the screens are of identical dimensions.
The Martin Fields one from Mobile Fun for the TyTN fits the 3600 perfectly ... and its bl**dy lovely it is 1 week on and not a mark in site.
Although you do need laboratory conditions to install it.
Does the Boxwave screen protector leave a gluey residue?
I've heard that some protectors don't use "glue" Eg. the Exim SPUC.
Which is better?

So just picked one of these fellas for £115! (rude not to ) and one of the first things I am going to need is to protect it, anyone got any ideas where in the UK these might be found?
O_O where u got it for that money ??
OT try ebay...
Yup, go on ebay. The cheap ones are just that! CHEAP! Scratch very easily etc.
What you need is the 3M Vikuiti screen protectors, expensive yes but these screen protectors last ALOT longer and generally are alot better. I have had one on my old phone for nearly two years and it's still fine!

3M are not some fly by night company. Very well respected all over the world.
http://solutions.3m.co.uk/wps/porta...home/products-solutions/protection-and-films/
Also on ebay, each protector is £8. If anything, I bet Martin Fields use 3M vikuiti films anyway lol
The Folix screen protectors and excellent, and very cheap from Amazon :
http://www.amazon.co.uk/FX-CLEAR-screen-protector-Toshiba-TG01/dp/B002Y35E9I - Glossy look, like an iPhone screen, gets instantly covered in finger grease
http://www.amazon.co.uk/FX-ANTIREFLEX-antireflective-screen-protector-Toshiba/dp/B002Y2P43K - Matte look, like a none-glossy-LCD, doesn't attract finger-grease
I've got the matte one on my TG01 and it's excellent. They're very (very !) similar to the Brando units, and come complete with a cleaning cloth.
Cheers for the links, but I don't think ya can beat the deal posted in the cases thread for 3 cases and screen protectors for £8!

I was the person who posted about the 3 cases plus 3 protectors for £8.
I haven't had any experience of the very expensive (some are over £12 each) screen protectors, but I struggle very hard to think of a way in which they could be better than the cheaper ones.
After all, we are just talking about a piece of thin transparent electrostatic plastic film. My cheap ones are a perfect fit for the TG01 (including the cut-outs); they were supplied with protective film front and back; they each came with a small microfibre cleaning cloth. They are totally unobtrusive in use (it doesn't affect screen taps, and I use a stylus for most of my text entry, using Letter Recogniser, with no problems). They also last very well (based on my experience using similar cheap protectors on my previous phones).
I do wonder whether there is some self justification involved in believing that because you paid a lot of money for something, it therefore has to be better than a cheaper one, rather than just marketing hype.

That's what I thought, the cheap ones will do the job the same as the more expensive ones but quite simply, the 3M vikuiti ones are much better!
Th cheap one takes longer to install as it's a nightmare to get the air bubbles out, the 3M's adhesive absorbs a little air and the rest is easy to expel!
Secondly the cheap ones are already scuffed and scratched to the point I can just about make out whats written on the screen whereas the 3M one, I used for 2 years, with pens, pencils, keys etc and no scratches whatever, except a tiny 2mm scratch caused by using a scalpel as a stylus.....
if u dont buy the cheapest ones , ull be all good , theyre all good quality except the few cheapest ones , but if it isnt , u wont see thru it ... i made that mistake once went for the cheapest and pixels were just swimming among each other ...
be careful on eBay

I've had the same problem with a glossy screen protector in the past.
The matte Folix model from earlier in the thread, doesn't have this problem.
I use the martin fields overlay plus, and it has been well worth the extra over the cheaper protectors. I have tried a couple of cheap ones and I have to ditch them after 2 weeks or so. The martin fields protector is still going strong after a couple of months!!

Price it's better than Martin Fields (and I wonder if raw material is the same, nothing on the Martin's Web Page) , so give us a feedback !! Perhaps next screen portectors will be from them....
Thanks for all
The Nokia N800 tablet and TG01 have virtually the same sized screen both being specified at 4.1 inches diagonally and having the same aspect ratio (800x480 pixels). I did pick up a protector for my N800 from eBay 6 months ago and it is still in very good, scratch free condition after a lot of stylus abuse - cost £2.29 including postage. Sadly the seller (personalmobiles) doesn't have any in stock, but it might be worth chasing them up.
PS. I'm picking up a Toshiba TG01 from an Orange store in South Yorkshire tomorrow morning for £150 + £10 for a SIM.
Ok, so my Desire is on order (and has been for ages!!! AAARGH!) and I obviously want to protect it. My first thought was the InvisibleShield but having read the thread on here, it seems that it really doesn't make the screen look or feel good and that is a dealbreaker for me. I have come from the crappy feeling touch HD and am totally jealous of my mates iPhone 3GS' glass screen, which feels lovely.
So what do you think the best options are?
1. InvisibleShield all over (40% off coupon is v tempting)
2. InvisibleShield on back, and other screen protector on front (if so which one feels/looks best?)
3. Nothing on back, screen protector on front...
?
Thanks a lot!
Honestly, I hate to use any protector, either on the back nor front.
The Desire itself is very gorgeous, magnificent and pretty as it is. Putting plastic ala condom does not do justice here.
But yeah, we still need to protect it. As a human, we are not perfect (yesterday I crashed my car).
To balance this, I choose to only protect the screen glass by using screen protector from martinfields.com (still on order). It is quite pricey but I am satisfied with the quality on my older devices + nintendo DSi.
Here if you want to know martin fields with nexus one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=622353
And I use kind of pouch from soft leather to protect it from "dust":

Here you go mate.Uk seller.
I went for the Matin Fields protector, more expensive that the Brando though.
I've personally not receieved it yet but judging by the people who have it's supposed to be very good indeed?
i got the zagg one but it is to resistive for multi-touch mainly pinch zoom, can anyone review the brando one clear/anti glare ? pic if possible.
thanks
Cant do pics but take my word for it,its very good,if you put it on properly you cant even tell its there and very easy to apply.

It arrived this afternoon.
Very easy to apply, no bubbles at all. You can take it off, wash it and apply again if need be.
The touch sensitivity is exactly the same as before it was put on, very happy with it.
Personally having seen a friend with a cheap ebay screen protector on his Desire my advice would be to avoid them.
Ok, well having read this and other forums, I think Im gonna buy a Martin Fields or a Brando protector.
Any reason why I should spend almost 2x the price to get a Martin Fields one over the Brando (I dont particularly care about the cam lens cover, although it is a plus) ?

After reading loads of stuff about both, I finally pulled the trigger and went for the Martin Fields ones. Mainly because I couldn't be arsed for the Brando ones to be delivered from the US . I have a Zagg invisibleSHIELD on at the moment, and a) it was damaged when it came b)it's way too tacky and c) it looks crap, so I can't wait to get rid of it.
MobileFun have two for £18, and if you use MFFREE as a discount code, you get £2.50 knocked off, so essentially free shipping.
Hopefully mine will come Friday, MF are usually pretty quick. I'll let you know how it goes when I get them.
Great thread, thanks for the advice & feedback. Just ordered a Martin Shields with the MF code for free shipping.
It seems like MF and Brando are the way to go..
I've got a Zagg one atm, and although it does the job I might have to return it at some point soon. There's too much of a plastic feel to it. I'd much prefer the glass feel minus a shield but I guess sacrifices have to be made
MartinField (MF) is a VERY good screen protector, but it is so damn expensive as well.
When I was using my HTC Kaiser, I went to several cheappie screen protectors and all were crap. Yeah, I did not know at that time. I was trying to get the cheapest one
Even I was tricked to buy a 10+ package of screen protector for cheap!
Believe me, you must invest for this.
I am not steering you to go with MF, as other user said he got the one from Brando and also very good.
Bottom line, if you dont have a favorite brand ... then just pick one, but not the cheappie one or the 10+ package deal.
Then stick with that brand.
As for me, I am very satisfied with MF. Very easy to apply and always NO BUBBLES.
Put it on my old HTC Kaiser, HTC Touch Dual and Nintento DSi.
Ordered for HTC Desire, not yet arrive.
found this what do you guys think GENUINE?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Martin-Fields...ting_LaptopAccessories_RL&hash=item53e0fd8a12
I might order it today
I've bought martin fields protectors from Morpeth mobiles for my last 3 phones over a period of 3-4 years and I have never had cause for concern that they might be fakes. I have used their main online store rather than ebay though, but I can't see that there would be a difference.
Someone from morpeth mobiles posts on her occasionally too.
I do wish they would sell the martin fields twin packs though, as they are often cheaper than buying them individually and I always like to have a spare
I've had a Brando Ultraclear on my Hero. After applying the protector I noticed a small decrease in sensitivity.
Last week my Desire arrived, and I really had to adjust to the very sensitive screen. Much more stray touches, especially in the lower corner where my thumb is always close to the screen.
I'm gonna stick to the ultraclear.
There are the 5-for $5 screen protectors, and then there are the zagg/martin fields/etc ones which average about $10 for 1.
They all claim some fantastical properties (they protect helicopter blades, they have this-and-that coatings, anti scratch, anti glare, leap tall buildings in a single bound...)
I'd like to know -
do you have one?
which?
what do you think of it?
would you recommend it?
TNX
I had a brando ultraclear on my touch dual and now a martinfield, i can see the difference between the cheap one
Cheap or expensive, the real problem is getting the damn thing on properly. I prefer five cheap chances to one expensive.
I say what ever you do avoid the anti-glare ones. They make the screen very grainy... I'd rather not be able to see the screen in the sun than have a pixelated screen at all times.
Also avoid forever fitters from my experience. I've just ordered Brando Ultra Clear for my phone. Should arrive next week.
I have a Martin Fields one. It was really easy to apply, plus it came with an additional protector for the camera lens. I recommend it.

Link on ebay?
^ Doml.com. Got mine in two days.
i went for the official HTC from play for £5 for two cheapest ive found.
Invisible Shield from Zagg. More expensive than others but the lifetime warranty tempted me.
Also, very good customer service.
Someone can suggest a good plastic screen protector ?
better if it's gloss ;-)
There are many cheap ones you can get off ebay, etc.
Don't waste your time with them.
Spend the extra cash and get a Martin Fields.
Google them
I've heard great things about the Martin Fields as well as the Brando and Vikuiti screen protectors. All are well made and will fit perfectly to the screen.
im using cheap ones from ebay working fine for me
Might has well post this question here.
Can you get a screen protector, that stop's the sun or daylight reflection on screen?

I had my silver htc desire since last summer, and yesterday i removed it because i wanna change house casing and put on a new. My shield had pretty much scratches after almoust a years use.
But to my supprise when i removed it, my display is like new. Not the smallest scratch on it.
Love my Vikuiti since April 2010.
I had a zagg invisible shield for around 6 months - bought and installed it with my Desire. Never used the phone without it.
I got fed up with the lumpy look it gave the screen and the feel of it.
Removed it last week and fitted the screen protector that came free with a Casemate case. Its excellent. My Desire feels like a new phone and I get why Swype works now for some people.
Long story short, don't buy a Zagg invisible shield if you want your screen to look good.

So ever since i got my one X i've been on a quest for a good screen protector. i started with cheapo ebay ones that were 6 for $2 but the edges lifted because it was a full screen protector and the quality wasnt great(they would scratch easily). I just recently bought the SGP screen protectors thinking because they were cut smaller i wouldnt have the issue of it lifting at the edges, but i still do. The quality of the SGP is good, it is not as fingerprint resistant as i had hoped but i still have the issue of it lifting. My gf has the Zagg HD on her phone which looks pretty good, does still have a bit of orange peel effect to it but otherwise covers a lot of the phone and does not lift at all because it is a wet application screen protector. I may have to buy one if i end up exhausting all other options, but till then i was wondering if anyone has found a screen protector they like on ebay before i pony up $30 for the Zagg HD at best buy
ZAGG HD, just do it
i wish i had bought a couple of those skinomis when they were .99 . i plan to use a case but from what ive seen the protector could work fine with a case

Those were apparently a bad batch and they wouldn't fully dry or something.
I just got an AT&T branded one from the AT&T store (I got 3 of them for $12) and they applied it for me.
I must say it is very nice. It doesnt have the lifting at the edges because it doesn't go all the way to the edge, it just goes to the extent of the flat part of the screen.
Its clarity is nice and it has a good matte finish.
I picked up the full front and back Zagg yesterday had AT&T throw it on mine yesterday. They put it on for free and I'm liking it.

the original or the HD? the original zagg is pretty awful in terms of orange peel and how your finger sticks to it. rohan when you say matte do you mean the antiglare? how does the screen protector do with scratches, some scratch more easily than others and become pointless because youre looking at a screen covered in scratches

I've only had it on for a day so I can't really tell you much about its durability, sorry.
And yeah I mean antiglare.
I said this in another thread about the Zagg HD.... The HD is FAR better than the regular Zagg in that there is ZERO orange-peel effect and it doesn't go all the way to the edge of the display so a case of any type won't pull up the edges at all. I've always used Zagg shields and because I used to work for Best Buy mobile I have become rather adept at installing them. The Zagg HD also gives you that 'glass' feel as well. It's almost like having nothing on your display at all.
Sent from my HTC One X
it does have some orange peel effect, nowhere near as much as the original but lets be real, its a sham. there should be no zagg hd, this is just an improved product over their original, unfortunately this is how businesses propose they make money. Make a better product and charge a premium for it. if it weren't $30 I would have had one the day it came out. i'd pay the original $15 zagg price but double that is just ludicrous LUDA!!!

Thanks! watched a couple of reviews on ebay, doesn't look like theres any orange peel in the videos. ordered 2 front for my one x and a front and back for my future galaxy S3
I always buy the cheaper ones from eBay that don't have the 'water' application method. Tried that once, never again. Bad results.
I go for the Hong Kong ones, or USA resellers of them since they are cheap and work great for a couple years or more. I use disposable gloves in a humid bathroom to apply so as not to get much fingerprints/dust. Works great most of the time.
I also get the soft silicon cases from ebay which usually wrap around the front enough to cover the edges of the protector so I haven't noticed any edge peeling so far on the screen protector.
