I am trying to run tomtom 5 navigator on my xda1 (wallaby).
Although the program installs and runs okay, it will not connect to or see the attached gps device. I have tried a later spv1500 or similar to Xda2 and it sees the gps device straight away.The cradle i use was originally for a XDA!!i but an xda, xda II and a spv all share the same connection interface there, so shouldnt be a problem.
I read somewhere about changing the rom to a later windows 2003second edition, which i have succesfully done. The SPV and xdaII both have the above rom version, and both work okay on the cradle. Allthree devices also work okay and all connect using activesync on the PC cradle.
Does anyone have any ideas?

HELP HELP HELP!!!
I have a I-Mate Pocket PC Phone Edition imaged with the ShekharAKU3.5b.R40.P24_public WM5 ROM. I also have a 4GB SD card, Nokia BH-501 Stereo Headset and a Bluetooth GPS receiver. It all works great and helps combine all the devices I have. The software I've installed on top of the ROM - which isn't much;
Tomtom 6 with Australia and North America Maps
Flv plugin for TCPMP
A2DP Registy hack for better Blue tooth Sound
Skype for Pocket PC
Google Maps
Problem 1) Tomtom Navigator - When opening Tomtom 6 sometimes it cannot find the maps which are on the 4GB SD Card. The only way to get it to work is to remove the SD card. Reboot the PDA and then insert the card before opening Tomtom. I think this may have something to do with the RAMdrive in the ROM. I have checked the registry to see if there is any entries specific to the map so I can specifically mention the maps being on the "Storage Card" but cant find anything. Any one else experiencing this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it? I googled it and found - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/tomtom-navigator-registry-hack.php
Problem 2) T-Mobile Settings - I have set my GPRS settings to wap.voicestream.com. I can make and receive calls, although being in Australia at the moment its very expensive, I can even surf the net. I want to load Blackberry connect, which I have, and use my PDA as an all-in-one unit rather then separate devices. It will save me carrying 4 devices and having 4 different chargers.
When I load Blackberry connect, I can't establish a secure connection to blackberry.net. It tries and then disconnects. Still no luck. Any ideas on this too??
If anyone could help I would be so greatful its driving me nuts wiping it everytime I make a mistake.
I changed OS in my phone on WM6 and I can't now connect with PC. I tried changed some options (RNDIS on Serial in USB Switch etc.), but that dosn't help me. I have Vista and WMDC6.1. I know weak English, don't laugh from me.
i have a dopod prophet and i am very new at pocket pc, my problem is that i am able to send any files via bluetooth to any phone, however i am unable to receive any files from any phone. i have tried pairing and i even have gone through alot of forums.... however it still haven solve my problem
please help me anyone;
thank you in advance........
Hi all
i ve recently purchased an o2 orbit 1 and having real trouble with it. Firstly, the windows mobile device software doesnt work from the start up disk so i downloaded it. After installing it runs but displays error with a red cross (im running vista).
The phone says "connected" but doesn't sync.
I cannot put anything like pictures, music or excel files from pc to Orbit. It says "cannot copy file". Akso cannot bluetooth any files either.
Lastly, I cannot connect to the internet via wifi. My other wifi devices like laptop and Nokia n95 connect fine.
Ive got the Windowsmobile6 if that help. im at my wits end and thinking of selling the thing!
