Sandisk SD card with built in WiFi

Hi folks - I have been reading about the Sandisk SD card with built in WiFi. Any idea if it works in a Xda II?
NO, there were other threads about it.
I'm using the normal Sandisk SD Wifi card on my device...
And it works very well... I also have the SD Wifi + 256 mb memory... well that one doesn't work!!!
Waw, good you have mentioned that, I was about to buy the SD card (wifi + 256 Mb card)!!
Sandisk specifically state that the wi-fi/256 combo will not work with xda 2 and they also state that you wont get a refund if you buy it and find out for yourself.

Any wifi sd and 1gb sd card recommended??

i plan to buy a wifi sd card and a 1gb sd card , but dun know wat brand is suitable for xda II ......have any suggestion???
there are only really 3 different types of wifi cards
normal wifi without mem everybody OEM from the same company and can use the same driver
wifi plus memory those dont work with xda2's also made by the same company i think
short wifi card http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/index.php?action=expand,39662

A-Data 150x 2Gb SD Card compatible with Himalaya?

Has anybody tried using one of these in their Himalayas?
http://www.adata.com.tw/en/products-f-card-sd2.htm
Is the A-Data 150x 2Gb SD Card compatible with Himalaya?
UPDATE: Works perfectly!
anybody have this card yet?
i don't think so
this is a sd card which supports new standard 1.1. so i think it will work but u can't reach full speed.
Does it drop down to a lower speed then? DO you know what speed it goes to?
it goes down to the max supported SD interface speed of the xda2
pocketpc mechanics is a good benchmark tool
here is a page with some bench's

I've got the T-Mobile MDA Compact and just bought an A-Data 2GB 150x SD card - it doesn't work
The card is OK - it works with a Nikon Coolpix 3700 and O2 XDA IIs but not with my MDA compact.
Does anyone know if any of the ROM updates help SD-card compatibility?
Sh*t! I just ordered mine for an XDA II
Can anyone confirm whether it works on this device?
I'm assuming if it doesn't work on the MDA then it probably won't work on my XDA II

memory card and connection problems

Hi,
I recently got a new HTC Vox however i am experiencing two particular problems.
1. My Vox does not seem to be recognizing any memory card i have tried. I have till now tried a Hama 4GB micro SDHC and a Sandisk 2GB micro SD card but to no avail.Do you know what the problem may be?
2. The second point is less urgent. When i switch on the phone i get a message informing me that my operator is not found in the database and that i should contact my operator. I am then directed to the connections screen.
If anyone could help m i would be very grateful
Thanks
1.That's strange not for the 4GB SDHC but more for the 2 GB SD. I'm using a 1GB sandisk premiere (or whatever it's called) and it is ok. I also tryaed a common SAndisk 2 GB (the cheapest one) and it worked.
2. DOn't worry about that it only means that your operator (GPRS/MMS settings could not be configured automatically because your operator's settings are not in the database of the phone. Only big carriers are pre configured in that database. If you want GPRS/MMS you should just do what you were used to do before...configure them manually
i see. thanks for that.
I'm beginning to worry that the phone itself is faulty!
if you don't mind me asking, what format did you use for the 2GB?
thanks
I Had the same problem , after my phone was in service for replacing the speakerphone, it did not recognise any memory card. I sent it back , and they replaced the motherboard.

no problem. FAT32
I have used a 4GB and a 8GB microSDHC card in my Vox without any problem.
If its not working in your phone then definitely its a problem with your device.
I suggest you try any other card(to rule out the remote possibility that your card is faulty), and if that does not help, you should take your device to the service centre.

16GB wifi model - GPS and 64 gb micro sd support?

hey,
Does the WIFI model have GPS?? On the samsung site it does list GPS, however I know with some tablets this is only with the 3G models.
Also, on the samsung site it states the tablet only supports upto 32GB microSD cards however on the forum i have noticed people are suing 64 GB microSd cards??
Thanks
Yes wifi model has gps. Works solid too. However if you plan to use it for navigation you will need a 3rd party app that allows for offline navigation. With a minor exception Google maps does not allow this, you can only precache like a 10 mile area around your destination.
Also I believe there was an update to allow 64GB cards to be used.
Thanks for the quick reply...now to buy it ....
