Help upgrading a tmobile mda compact

Hello All,
I am rather new to this and I have a uk tmobile mda compact, which I think is quite old ...
ROM Version: 1.01.00 WWE
ROM Date: 10/21/04
Radio version: 1.00.10
Protocol version: 1337.36
ExtROM version: 1.01.128 WWE
I have been reading all the quides and I have looked through the files on the ftp site but I have no idea what rom I am meant to use to update my mda compact as there are so many with just different numbers. Can anyone tell me which one I should go for?
I imagine its one of the WWE shipped roms but which one,

I would upgrade to the 1.12 rom and do the big storage hack, then upgrade the radio only to the 1.13 radio
I have been using that combination for months now and it is stable and the sound quality is great and there are no bluetooth or gprs problems

Sorry to be a pain but could you reply with the exact file names you downloaded as there appears to be quite a few different ones.

no signal on my PDA please help

I bought my PDA from USA to use in UK. however, although it is meant to be compatible with O2, I get no phone signal . all else is fine. i am currently with the Orange network but if I need to swap to O2 in order to use this PDA, I am willing to do so.
Could anyone be kind enough to please help me out?

i shall be most grateful as it is so frustrating not being able to use it properly after having purchased it so eagerly.

xda1's are only dualband
and there is a special model for
US(900/1900) and one for EU(900/1800)
so if you want to use it in EU you need a gsm company who use 900
it's in the hardware so you cant really make a 900/1900 phone into a 900/1800 phone

thanks a lot for your reply. on the actual pda, it gives you the option of UK O2, as well as other european countries. so i am still confused as to why that is if there is the band problem. :?

manual network selection does not work

i have a qtek s200 and a big problem with it!
i live near the frontier germany/switzerland and my network is eplus.
everytime the network signal is getting worse, the s200 selects a foreign network and i have to pay roaming costs.
in the phone setting i have selected:
current network: eplus
network selection: manual
but it does not work!
i have searched a lot in the internet but i didnt find a solution for this bug!
please help me

I have the same problem with my s200 with wm6 smart1 ROM

Is yours the original rom that came on your device?
If it is take the phone back to your provider - it should work and they should sort it out for you.

Possible antena have a problem ... try to use a newer Radio ROM!
Read Wiki how to update it!

network problem

hy everyone...i have a problem with my qtek s200...i have
Rom version: 10.2.0.8 WWE
Rom date: 2/03/07
Radio verson: 02.61.21
Protocol version: 4.1.13.28
ExtRom version: 2.20.7.114
and the problem that i have is that sometimes (seems to be very often), the network it disconnect by herself...and come back after 2-3 seconds...and many friends was calling me, but i didn't recieve any call...what should i do?

Use a older Radio Rom Version! 2.47 are the first Wizard converted Radio Roms for Prophet. I think, the Wizard Radio is near the same, but some thing is different! I have the same Problem with the newer Radio Roms.

ok..il will search it, and i will tel you after it's done...but, what do you think about 2.69.21?

I have an imate jasjar & have upgraded it to WM6. When my device is tuned off & someone tries to call me, it doesn't ring or show the coller number before the 4th or 5th ring whereas everything acts normally when the device is on... can anyone help me with that issue

Detalis please? without telling us what rom you're running, G3 or G4, IPL/SPL, etc, we have no way of helping you.

just chg rom.
