OK Vjay, here it is:
Well, when installing under WM2005 it says you need
evb_runtime.exe.
But according to MS this won't install under WM2005
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/mobility/windowsmobile/downloads/evb.aspx)
because WM2005 uses .net (?).
Next step is to find the evb_runtime.exe but than the CAB-file.
This is msvbppc.armv4.cab.
Than drag it to your PPC and let it instaal itself.
There can be a language problem, but a workaround for this

After this Pocket Breitling runs perfect.

Is it only me,who want to use SmartDialer(SD) with Himalaya WM5? I ask,because noone want to help me with this issue. For WM2003se it exist,for [email protected] it exist,but why it still don't exist for [email protected]? I am not able alone to develop a cab installer because my experiences with exe/dll disassembling are very poor. Therefore I want to assist someone by development.
Yes I can see the registry differences(compared Wizard with and Himalaya without SD),file differences etc.,but it still doesn't work. Anyone is interested about as well? Thanks.

Is it possible to have AKU2.2 ROM plus Phone app. etc from AKU 3.x??

Hi all, My first post so please bear with me...
I've searched the forums but cannot find the answer to this...
Would it be possible for me to simply run the stable and relatively problem-free AKU2.2 Qtek ROM on my Prophet but to have the extra phone functionality provided by the AKU3.x ROMs (ie. the added ability to send/receive business cards or Vcards as text messages)??
What I'm thinking of here is something like a .cab taken from the AKU3.x rom and applied to the latest "authorized" Prophet Rom which I understand to be the AKU2.2 Qtek rom, right?
I have tried most of the AKU3 roms out there as well as the WM6's and although these provide me with the phone functions I need for my workplace, they are still essentially just Beta ROMs with too many bugs and issues for me to run my Prophet reliably as a business phone when at work!
Please could one of you amazing and knowledgeable guys out there let me know if what I'm asking is possible?? And if so, which files would I need to obtain and apply?

I know it's possibly bad form to reply to one's own posts, however, in case this info helps someone:-
Due to all the issues and niggles with the later ROM's for Prophet as I mentioned above, I have now gone back to Jesterz AKU2.2 R1 ROM - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=284578
( AND, a *BIG* thanks to Jesterz for a very fine piece of work... It is VERY stable and F A S T!! )
...THEN, I have installed "SunnySoft vCard1.1" (http://www.sunnysoft.com/download.php?idd=108#p108) to enable this AKU 2.2 to have the ability to Send and Receive vCards - AKA Business Cards - via SMS/Text Message!!! I know this is a licenced piece of software (so not free), but believe me, this software works perfectly on top of the stable and standard Jesterz AKU2.2 R1.

How could I back-up Samsung SGH-i600 ROM?

I am really new to this ROM-things and this is my question too. Maybe some experts here can help me out. Would be fine
I got my brand new European Samsung SGH-i600 with QWERTY keyboard these days with ROM-Version i600XXGC2. Can somenone tell me, what kind of ROM this is? And is there a newer Firmware for my device?
And now I would like to know if i can roll back to WM5 if I upgrade to WM6 and don't want to keep it and HOW TO DO THIS.
Can i backup my current ROM exately like it's now, so i will have the same i600 i have now? Is this possible? And how to do this?
And with my i600 came the original WM5 disc. So can I install from this disc to WM5 again, if i don't want to keep WM6 and have the same state like now?
Would be really nice, if someone could help me out. I'm not afraid of experimenting with my device
Oh, two more questions
When i upgrade to WM6, is there a possibility to install and use the Carousel Home Screen? I like it very much in WM5 and would like to use it again in WM6.
And is there a possibility to make some settings in the internal mail program or a registry hack so that the mail programm does not delete the mails from the server when i delete it in the program?

Im a new person on forum and this is my first topic.
I have very big problem, yesterday i instaled on phone my friend (i607 Black Jack) Windows Mobile 5 but for Samsung i600
On this moment i have a lot of problems, for example: now i cannot install again correct WM because my pc don't see phone, activesync doesn't work, i can not charge my phone because input in phone not function
I cannot do it nothing, actual instaled system is WM5 for i600 but a lot of programs have error etc etc
I need really our help because this is not my phone but my friend

I have i600 and i'm very happy
