Mda pro Usb activesync problem & bluetooth too. Please h

I currently bought a MDA pro and have problem trying to connect using usb ActiveSync to the device. I install the software but the device can't be detected. It should be able to detect the device automatically rite? Is there any procedure I should follow?
I pop in the cd it say that driver is supported with later version of window os. But mine is win xp professional.
I look on the microsoft window mobile website for troubleshootingh through this forum but cant find the solution.
Another problem is i tried to transfer mp3 files from my mda pro to my samsung d500. I beam the file and it detect my samsung and show sending 1/1 but the transfer nvr happen didnt show the sending bar on my samsung.

i went through the tutorials of magician upgrade but im stuck in one place.......
steps where i am confused
6-Run "romupdate.exe" on your PC
7-Choose the USB connection in the connection settings of romupdate.exe window and click on ok. After that a terminal window will popup in that window.
wen i click on romupdate... dialog box pop up...havin manythings i just change the port to com1...
another dailogbox appears....
but im not able to write anythin in it..but in tutorials it says to type "d2s"
how do i do it????

Your connection mode in romupdate.exe must be usb and before doing so disable it in activesync.

i bought my i617 without deta cable.nw i m using G600 data cable.i installed d latest modem driver from samsungs website & i hav activesynic 4.5.btw when i try to connect my phone with pc.my pc showed unknown device & u r pc gotta malicious attack.when activesynic didnt get my phn,then i try it as a mass storage..btw same thng unknown deviceee.....i didnt understand what is d prblm???is there any usb driver has 4 i617???coz i lost d getting started cd.
i am using Xp sp3 os in my computer.is there any option 4 download geeting started cds content via internet??

i need some help/suggestions
i did download the new fx07 bundleandroid frm the site but when i try to extract the haret file its comes up with a screen with a message
launch a script file.default path is the same where the executable lives.
Default.txt run
start waiting for connection on port 9999
when u connect , you ill get a remote hardware examination tool
listen for network connection
found machine generic arm v6
this is the message that comes on my screen n than nothing seems to happen .
Can u plz guide me or tell me what i m doing wrong............
I would appreciate if u can plz help me get this install i m desperate to get it done.
