Request: Prophet G3 SD Backup image (r2sd all bootloader)

Due my ROM adventures here, I have messed up my G3 (wrong SPL upgrade on a test image, funny to see a 2.20.0001 on G3, lol) I need a SD backup image to restore my G3
If anybody wants to help, please reply here or Qm me.

No problem as long as it boots, I can change it to english later

You probably need to first unlock your G3

Are you sure you have a G3 model ?
If so, please downgrade to this version, try again, and after you are done upgrade back to your own version.

Uploaded. I saw several disconnections but upload file was resumed and finally finished. Hope it works. Use command "psdwrite.exe x: pdamobiz2.3rom.bin" to write to your SD card. Good luck!

Thanks ! trying to grab a sd card reader at work to try it

Crap,
I've tried the image, but it said "Not allow update!" (nice english too, lol)
I will continue to investigate this problem, in the mean time
Anybody have a clue ?
P.s.
for the people trying this, you have to press the comm. button on the side to answer the question on "Download SD image"

aWizard can unlock CID and RAPI a XDA Neo (Prophet/G4) device?
If not, how else?
If i make my Ext. Rom shown and edit able and delete some CABs, then:
-they are disabled after restart?
-they are deleted for ever, also after hard reset?
Is there a way to completly delete the O2 Themes, also the Phone Skin and Splash Screen?
If there a way to complety delte the GPRS? like:
- delte a CAB or anything else?

No you can't and there is no way doing this as of now for a G4.

The Ext. Rom provides extra software that usually gets installed by default once a hardware reset has been done. Deleting CAB's in the Ext. Rom (whether it's possible is another question) has no effect on the Prophet at all. If software from Ext. Rom got installed already then they stay installed until you uninstall it or do a hardware reset.

You don't want to do any of that unless you know what you are doing.

-how can i edit my ext rom then? when not with deleting the CABs?
-and i saw some threads they said, u can unlock a G4:
• one said with the aWizard
• and some others told of variouse tools to do that
they are all wrong?
... btw. i ask this, because i wanted to backup my XDA with aWizard before i change anything, but to before backup, the aWizard Tools tell i have to unlock, and without i only can backup the ext rom.

A Problem after installing a ROM - RESCUE Options

A couple day ago I've installed a new ROM (Touch FLO Manila 2D) on my Herald using "FLASH CENTER". It has worked for some time, but after one rebooting the system didn't start any more - after turning on it appears a green screen for a pair seconds, then my Herald goes automatically down. And it repeats again and again... And it is not possible to restore the system though ActiveSync, because the Herald doesn't start at all.
I have looked through in this forum for possible rescue options. one of them seemed to be FLASHING FROM SD CARD. But this had no effect - a tricolor has appeared, but it happened nothing more. Probably there is possible to install a ROM this way on working WINDOWS MOBILE' s and not at broken.
I thought - may be it is possible to install a Windows Mobile on SD CARD (something like portable version) and so boot a system from SD Card ???

This is the wrong forum for this. I have written a few guides on how "unbrick" the Herald.
You can flash just fine from the tricolor screen. (That's where the phone takes you automatically when you flash "from" windows mobile.) So no worries, you aren't out of luck. Worse case scenario, you search for the GoldCard method if nothing else works.

- should I just take another SD Card? My is 1 GB - is it OK, too big, too small?
- did I something wrong with "flashing" methods? I did it 2 ways:
- just with any ROM-File in NBH-Format, which was renamed to HERAIMG.NBH and placed alone to the formated SD Card
- in addition to HERAIMG.NBH also other files (like "EnterBootloader.exe"), which are often inclusive in ROM- ZIPs.
- I should be more patient and wait more than 1 hour with a hope that anything will change?
Could you give me the links for "unbricking" the Herald?

You misunderstood me. You don't flash with the SD card through the tricolor screen. You flash through the regular flash center. If you're not hardSPL you have to flash the stock ROM.
As far as the flashing through SD goes, it should give you a countdown before the tricolor screen appears. If it doesn't, or if it's too fast to read, then your SD card is too slow.

As it loads this tricolor screen I see the following data:
IPL 1.08.0001
SPL 1.08.0001
Perhaps it means, that I indeed need a GOLDCARD method.

But the FLASH CENTER works only on WINDOWS. So I can't use the regular flash center, because my Herald doesn't start up and ActiveSync doesn't see him.

Where do I get the original ROM, may be even WM5? In your FTP- server I have found some "ship.exe"- Files, but I can't extract ".nbh" files from them.

This means that you attempted to flash a HardSPL or another SPL when your SPL did not meet the state requirements. You NEED to create a Goldcard.

No, the flash center doesn't only work in Windows. It works on the bootloader mode. ActiveSync's icon turning green doesn't mean that activesync saw the phone, it means that it can synchronize your information with the computer.

If you broke your SPL like I mentioned above, you will have to use the Goldcard first then you will be able to flash any stock Herald/Tmobile Wing ROM.

I don't know if it will be too slow for that, too. But if you broke your SPL, the goldcard is the ONLY way to fix it.

The problem is - for GOLD Card I need a working WINDOWS Mobile Handy... and I don't have such one at the moment.
Is it possible to become a standard GOLD Card, which would be suitable for most of Heralds?

You don't need a windows mobile phone. You can also create one using linux.

I've installed Linux on my computer, but i can't find a correct command to read a CID of my SD Card. My SD is located in Linux under "/media/disk-1" and I try to write something like "cat /media/disk-1:*/cid", but the Linux doesn't recognize CID command at all.
Actually, I hope, that after getting CID it will not be difficult to obtain a goldcard.img through QMAT. Am I right?

Need help in testing

I recently created an application called Android Recovery Manager
The version on the other thread is V1.0.
My sensation has been stolen, so for the moment I can't test future updates for the application, and I don't wanna give up on developing it...
I had plans for the next releases, and it really took me lots of efforts to finish it, so I'd like to know if anybody is interested in testing?

Not at all, you only need S-Off
The application manages your recoveries, it can flash any recovery you want.
You can either install a recovery image from your computer locally, or let the program download a recovery for you from the always up-to-date list of recoveries.
You can check the other post for screenshots and more info

Please extract the "RecoveryManager.exe" before using it as there will be files generated next to it.
So, I'll need you to install any recovery (Stock or Custom) and send me the log file when it has finished (You'll find an XML file in the Log folder in the same place as the application)

Rebooted into OS, no problems sofar.
The programm is selfexplaining and you can stop before flashing and think things over.
When I restart the programm and want to search for an recovery file on my HDD its going to the last folder I was using before,

I tried to flash android using NAND on my x1. on the fastboot stage using XP pc, after i run the "recovery.img", the monitor of my PC turned into blue with lots of text in it, then eventually, reboot. Please help!i'm stuck with this..help please.....
