before i got my device flashed to a dopod rom i made this backup (see link below) and now i want to know if it's possible to make the files from the backup usefull to reinstall the Dutch orange rom. If yes? is there someone who wants to do this en knows how? excuse me if i am asking silly questions but i have to get my orange rom back for the insurance/guarantee

I have done it on a M600 which was dopoded.
Worked perfectly fine.
I first made the back-up, then upgraded to dopod and then reinstalled the back-up. It then was Orange NL again.
I also did return the M600 to Orange because of broken speaker (back one) WITH the dopod rom. No problems at all, it got nicely repaired.

Backup the ROM of the Orange SPV M600
Hello All,
I'm totaly new here....
Can anyone please tell me how to make a backup from my origanal Orange SPV M600 Rom??
I like to try the WM6.1 rom but need the original for backup.

Just went from original orange rom (SPV M500) to the 1.12 Qtek rom and i don't have the feeling i'm missing anything.
To be honest i didn't even bother to backup the original rom, not worth the disk space.
But does the M500 rom not include BT voice dialling?
I have an Orange M500 and upgraded to a Qtek 1.12 ROM I forgot to backup my original M500 rom! is it possible for someone to upload to the xda-ftp!

Could someone detail what is in the Orange ROM that that isn't in the (eg) i-Mate ROM.
Would I be right in assuming that the Orange ROM takes up more space than the i-Mate ?

I am actualy suprised that it is not branded "orange" to the eyeballs.

if the M500 is the same as my c500 then there is no native send via bluetooth support. On my c500 i used Smart explorer which has the option to send via bluetooth. Don't think there is a ppc version available. Maybe try resco. I was getting to grips with my m500, until i combined it with a pint of water and now its a dead machine, waiting for tests from the mobileshop!

okay, i found out how to do it....and its bizzar!
you beam it, like IR.
its odd, i phoned up orange and they didnt have a clue, if you turn off beam in connections it wont allow you to send or recive files.

Isn't the XDA IIi tha same as the Orange M1000?
can some kind person please load the full spv m500 rom so i can reset mine back, as i would like to sell and having the correct rom would make things a lot easier

Same problem I was having.
Best way I found was to flash it with the english ROM of your choice, and replace the EXT ROM with the Orange one on the FTP

I don't think there is a Dutch SPV M600 ROM from Orange available at the moment.
Do you think the Dopod ROM is better than the original M600 ROM?
I also noticed that there is a Dutch S200 ROM available at the moment.
Can't you just configure your device according to the Orange World settings?
I updated my SPV M600 from the original Orange UK ROM to the latest Dopod ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=49298).
I like some of the customisation (speed dialer, MMS settings etc) so i zipped the original ROM to the SD card and then like a complete idiot formatted it before reinstalling all the programs (no really, i'm that stupid sometimes) :?:
could anyone upload the original UK ROM so i can get soome of the CABs to set it up.
the whole lot would be great or i can get a list of the CABs I'd like individually if you prefer

I have installed HTC S710 ROM on my SPV E650 to fix a pad (capricious center of the joystick) problem, without any success.

As far as I know, you can extract it and then cook the ROM with the kitchen, but I have never done it. Look in the Wiki for information on extracting and cooking.

Is it safe to flash this ROM onto a HTC Branded Vox or will it just Brick the Vox?
