Is it possible to initiate a call from Desktop Outlook when connected via ActiveSync?
I've heard it is possibel with Sony Ericsson K800i.
i would say it would require a software addon for outlook
made by the phone maker

Dear All
Can someone confirm any software for send SMS from my laptop my imate jam is connected throuth cable with my laptop

you can use Jeyo Mobile extender for outlook, i use this to send sms' from my outlook contacts, while my ppc connected to the laptop
Has anyone managed to do this and to get it to work? I just sold my P990i and bought an i-mate JASJAM (Hermes). I had similar problems on the P990i; it wouldn't work with SSL and ports 995/465. It worked fine without SSL and ports 110/25 though.
If I configure the exact same settings then Outlook Express under Windows XP works fine but the Outlook 2002 that ships on CD with the phone doesn't work at all. Outlook 2002 behaves the same as WM5 Outlook; it just hangs when trying send/receive and then eventually times out with a popup error message.
is there any such app that would work on Treo750 while connected via activesync? Possibly an app similar to Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook.
Thanks.
My phone is an Xperia X1 and I have Exchange ActiveSync setup. I can get the syncronization over wlan both in my office and over other wlans. I would like to know if there's any way to "force" the ActiveSync to happen over wlan before trying the data connection. This way when I'm covered by a wlan that I'm connected to, the sync would be cheaper
Basicly I'm after some process that when i want to synchronize it checks the wlan first and only then connects to the celular porovider. Does it make any sense? All this because I miss the autosync that my old Nokia made everytime it was in reach with my PC. What I'm trying to achive is the best workaround for this missing feature in Windows Mobile. Or is there a new option that I don't know ?
Thanks for any support

Hi there,
If your data is not connected, it will obviosuly try to sync via wifi first right? In theroy if both are connected wifi should be prefered afaik.
There is a good guide for getting ur device to auto connect to ur PC via bluetooth to auto sync via active sync, (see the guides section in my sig below, guide by my good friend Nir36)
Cheers.
Hey guys...
I use ActiveSync to sync with exchange 2007 (direct push).
When i sync using GPRS/HSPDA/EDGE or wifi a sound alert is played when i recieve a new mail.
This is not the case when my HD2 is connected to the exchange server using USB and bluetooth...
Which is really annoying. I end up using (costly) GPRS/../.. while i could just as easily use a free USB connection just because i need to be notified of new mail messages.
Does anybody know about a registry setting or such wich may change this behavior?
Thx
