I just changed my T-Mobile SDA to I-Mate sp5m ROM, and it seems much faster! The one thing that is really REALLY bugging me is that i can no longer use the # key to switch between normal and silent! Is there a way to enable this?
Also is there a way to add the toggling of WiFi into the QuickList (the list by pressing the power button) like it is in the T-Mobile ROM?
And one last thing I would like to change is when you look at your call history by pressing the green button (on the home screen), is there a way to make it that when you press the joystick in it views call details instead of calling the person?
I can use the green button to call the person and liked it more the T-Mobile way where it would open call details.

Everyone of these is spot on. #3 really bugs me.
I agree, also. I would like to be able to toggle silent mode with the # key. Another problem that I have with the SP5 rom is that for some reason my recently dialed, missed, and received calls are not sorted by date and time. I can't think of why they wouldn't be, and I can't figure out how to fix it. Is there a way to fix this?

Is there a way to make a shortcut from the scrollwheel,so you just have to press the wheel to get in to the last called numbers list?
Would be much more easy to make call with one hand..
Sorry for my bad english
If you press the green phone button, you will pull up and be able to redial the last number you called.
OMG are you kidding me push the GREEN TALK BUTTON and the last call is right there then push the GREEN TALK BUTTON AGAIN and thats it.. So a total of 2 yes a whole 2 button pushes.....
Is it just the last number or do you get a list with numbers ?
Sorry...I dont have a TyTn II myself..Just tested a friends.
Edit
I want to go direct to the list with all my last called numbers, not just the last.
You now what i mean ?
Im not so good at english :-/
on my 8525 there was a box on my dialpad that listed all recent calls, right from the dialer you could scrool down to select any previous number in the order they were called. i believe this is what the poster is talking about. i can not remember what it was called but i would like it on the tilt as well, it basically replaced the standard smart dialer with one that listed call history. anyone have this?
Green Phone button - Up on the 4 way pad
That will get you to the recent call list - 2 buttons pressed
Ok..Thanks
nice tip, thanks!
(And by the way, it's the left or down key to get to Speed Dial.) However, one problem is neither of those works if the keypad isn't showing and you just have the Call History and other buttons up there (with Keypad being the left soft key option). Anyone know if there's a reg hack to make the keyboard stay up there permanently? Thanks.
Also, with the keyboard displayed, you can use the scroll wheel up to get last called, or scroll wheel down to get speed dial numbers.
I wasn't sure how to ask this so bare with me.
I have an ATT tilt with the HTC ROM on it. When I go to phone mode and am looking at my keyboard, I have the smartdialing box, the keypad and then three boxes upper-left side = LEFT ARROW (delete), VIDEO CALLING icon, and CALL LIST icon.
VIDEO calling doesn't work and I don't understand what those icons in the CALL LIST (are they received calls? Dialed calls?) are all about. I was wondering if I could switch what those three buttons do? I can't find any ability to change those in OPTIONS..
I suspect that further modification will require cabs or ROM updates?
I have imprecise fingers so the keypad is excellent- I don't want to change that at all.
Thanks guys
yeah.. me too flashed my 1 day old tilt with the htc stock rom... and the dialpad sucks..... no "CALL" button on screen....
Now have to use the keypad and fingers to dial a number and pressing the green call button to actually call... it was quite annoying at the beginning... but now I am gettin used to it.
Still if any registry editing could be done in order to remap the 3 buttons on the right hand side of the dial pad screen, it would be great....
Except for this option, the HTc stock ROM is gr8888888888 !!!!!!
anyone?
There has to be a way to play with the HTC dialpad?
Screen shots?
I like the default dialer.

ok I know this is a painfully dumb question but I've searched and can't find any solution. How do I edit my Kaiser's registry?
Thanks
Hello....first off, thanx to Dutty. Been using dualtouch v3 rom on my att tilt and it works great. donation will be coming soon.
does anyone know how i can change what the soft key screen options are when i am receiving a call? currently my option are "silence" and "send text". am i able to change them to "answer" and "ignore"? I know i can do these things with the call and end buttons but its easier with the screen.
also, is there a way to make my soft keys light up when i am receiving a call? i thanx,
jacob
You need a matching dialer, but i cannot tell you, which one and where to get it. You might ask one of our chefs (ROM builder).

How about tapping down (or up/left/right) on the 5-way nav to make it light up?
I personally don't mind using the green/red buttons since it's SOO redundant to duplicate with the soft-keys also. It's somewhat more Treo-like also.
bump... did a search and couldn't find anything
I would like to know the answer as well? Does anybody know how to do it?
Me2..
.. glad to know I'm not the only one who's annoyed with the softkey option that comes with the touchdual. The dialer is awesome and I'm using it on my Tilt. I like the feature where it asks if I wish to save a first time answered number..
I'd like to get two "tweaks" for the DualTouch dialer..
1. The same as Jake where I'd like to switch the softkeys function while receiving a call during conversation.. to answer and ignore.. better still, i'd take conference and ignore, if thats possible.
2. I would like to have a conference button get automatically activated on the status screen where there are the six buttons that one can tap while in call. So, this way when I dial the third line to enable conferencing, I won't have to open the options softkey and then tap on the tiny conference option...
Hope I didn't sound twisted..
Tilt with Alex's WM6.1 Rom.

Check out the link below. Look for 'Change your soft keys' or something like that and see if that helps.

Hi there,
I have the following little prob with my Polaris:
whenever I make a call the display will go dark after a couple secs (which by itself isn't bad). However, seems like the polaris enters the standby-mode after acouple more secs, since I won't be able to touch the display to bring it up again-instead I will have to press the green or red button. This is a little annoying since I'm not able to easily access, e.g., the contacts during a call or press a key to, say, delete a message when checking my voicemails.
Any suggestions on how to tackle this?
Thanx
Two things you can do:
When you are in a call you can always press the power button and the screen will switch back on giving you access to all your applications and contacts, etc..
Better solution is to install the Backlite application. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=360657
This will stop the backlight switching off during a call. Works fine for me.

Yap, I knew about the power button but think hitting this one is a little annoying, too. What I'd aktually like is that - during a call - the display IS indeed turned off or at least dimmed down to very dark in order to safe battery. However, I'd like it to stay touch-sensitive and come back on if I touch it. Will the Backlite application do this for me?
Thanx again!

I think the point of making the screen "non touch-sensitive" during a call is that it is easy to touch it with your face during a call and you could end up disconnecting the call or doing other unexpected things.

Lol, my ear once accepted another incoming call from this girl that I was avoiding for ages... and I didn't even realise I was talking to her, thought it was my other mate.

Ouch!
If i'm not wrong, S2U2 can turn display off during a call. Great software!
I've tried two progs more: PhoneScreenLock and InesoftAddressBook.
Inesoft provide many features including display switch off during a call.
Phonescreenlock keep the display on showing info about the call, locking the screen.. but with long conversation you may frie your ear

Any updates on this one please? I have the same problem with running gazillion apps on my Polaris with my ear in call as benjb did.
Tried PhoneScreenLock - did not work well for me because its buggy (the lock screen pretty often appears somewhere BELOW the in-call buttons or start menu and needs to be switched to via closing in-call screen, which obviously renders it useless).
The InesoftAddressBook is not an option either, cause I already have other address book app and would like to stick with it (BTW my current address book has "slide-to-pick-up-call" feature, which makes me afraid that it would conflict with S2U2).
Sadly the Polaris doesn't have motion or light sensor... It would make my life sooooo easier with ZuinigeRijder's TouchLockPro...
So any ideas on what else I could use please? Thanks!
two things...
1) Are you aware that after you answer/make a call but before you put the phone up to your ear you can press the power button (not press & hold, just press & release) which will turn off the display, but not disconnect your call (or, turn off your phone)? No stray on-screen button pushing this way! With the screen off the "end call/hang up" button still functions and when you press it the screen will come back on immediately. If you need to access your address book or make a note etc during a call, press & release the power button and it will turn the screen back on and not effect your call in any way. If your phone is set up like mine and it returns to the home screen each time the screen is turned on, then simply press the green phone button and the dialer comes back to the top.
2) If #1 doesn't do it for you and you need software to accomplish this, then search this forum for MissedCallReminder (just like that - no spaces). Besides having an option to "lock screen on connect" it has a very handy feature (the main feature actually, as the name indicates) of being able to set up repeat reminders for missed calls and missed sms messages. Very handy. It can be setup to run automatically at startup so you don't have to remember to start it up manually. It also automatically unlocks the screen when you end your call.
Turned out I had bookmarked the app, so here's a link:
