Probably not. Yes, most of the hardware is probably the same but the Prophet has wifi where the Charmer does not. I don't know what would happen to your charmer if you flashed it with a prophet rom. You could end up with a very expensive paperweight.
Charmer's camera is 1.3MP while Prophet has a 2MP. The two models are similar enough to allow you to flash the Prophet with a Charmer ROM. I tried it and it worked! Of course the camera was non-functional. I didn't try Wifi.

Do you mean the mda compact I (magican)?
If yes, you cannot upgrade it to wm05.

I downgraded my Charmer to 2003 and I upgraded it to WM 2005.
Do not give wrong information to people.
If you don't believe me.. Go to the support site of qtek.nl and click on support --> software updates
You will see that the rom of s100 can be used for s110.
So the rom of the Magician can be used for the Charmer.
But I will agree that the Magician can't use Charmer's rom if it's a WM5 rom.
Qtek S110 is not Charmer,It is a Magician that has got 128Mb Ram,so that it cannot upgrade to WM5.0

I've got one in my hand right now and it was 2005.. Now it's 2003.
The device has PM200 written on the label on the back.
In a few minutes it will change into wm 2005 again (from iris global - T-Mobile)

Errm... The Dopod 838 ISN'T the same as The MDA Compact II. The Dopod 818 Pro is.

Since the camera doesn't work.. it relatively means the ROM doesn't work I had once installed a ROM on my charmer, I think it should be 818pro or 838 (it is WM5 for sure), the camera failed to work. So, I have to go back to the original ROM.

The rom for s100 is the same for s110.
I have a qtek s110 and i flashed the rom 2.03TX. Very light rom, great performance, but you gotta have some software resources because it doesn't even have excel.
Anyway, if you don't like it, try one in the wiki page.
For htc magician=qtek s100=qtek s110.

i doubt cuz there is big hardware difference in these two models
The only difference between s100 and s110 is the ram: the first has 64 and the second has 128 mb.
Everything else is the same, except the colour of the casing.
Be sure your not mistaking s110 with charmer, wich has a totally different architecture but with the same casing of s100 or s110.

Hi, as said before, S100 and S110 are similar, the only difference is the RAM size. I flashed yesterday an S110 with the S100 ROM and it is working well (no more air flight mode problems with bluetooth). But I have still a problem, don't know if it can be solved... I made a complete backup before upgrading the mobile, and now I can not use the backup, the restore fails saying that the device is not the same :-(
Anyone knows if there is some workaround for it?

JWrightmcps ROM 2.02.02 WWE. Is the best. Which Uni you've got? Is it i-mate, or some other brand. You should find something on his list.
But there are ROMs for T-Mobile, Vodaphone, Qtek, O2 etc...
Which is for ERA?
And brand is MDA Pro - that's originally sold in this network.

As I am very attached to this MDA Compact I cant afford for it to go down . Can u advise whether I can use the above 'Upgrade' with the MDA Compact which I understand is the same phone as the Magician?

oi mate it does work i tryed it on my mda
but i dont know about thw wifi thing i havent tryed that
it works..
i am using it on my o2 mini, sandisk wlan card..802.11+256 mb storage..it works good..drivers are on sandisk website...

Thanks for feedback on this matter. Whats the info about BIG Storage? Is there improved memory available on this upgrade? Anyone had any bugs or problems since the Upgrade? Certain comments have been about a 'Hard Reset' before adding the extra updates? Any tips on a successful Upgrade? Probably gonna have a stiff Brandy before carrying it out!
