Yes, but you will have to copy the TomTom supplied SD card to a mini-SD then all should be fine.

When I put the card in, the tomtom screen shows briefly then disappears. It doesn't appear to install. I'm running a TMobile MDA Vario - basically the same as an 02 XDA.
any ideas
regards stevo

I have tom tom 5 installed on my T mobile MDA Vario, using 2GB memory card and Holux GPSlim 236 GPS Receiver over bluetooth.

@andyfeild
what vertion, was it navigator 5,bluetooth navigator, mobile navigator or somthing else, would apriciate how you did mate, did you have any problems.

Backpack problem w/ WM2003SE

Is anybody using backpack and WM2003SE with problems?
I can use VGA to do the presentation but not S-video...
Also, anybody success in using a CF wifi card with wm2003se????
I really want to use that.
Somebody please...............
Thanks....
I am also using the backpack. I faced the same problem as well as a problem regarding the WiFi CF card.
I changed the OS from 2.06WWE to 2.20CHS and now every thing is working perfectly.
Even the custmer support of SanDisk can not explain how the WiFi Card is working.
Unfortunally this version is not complete but .........
i have the XDAII running 2003SE and a Backpack, with CF netgear CF card, and the sandisk 1gig storage seperately, and they all work fine. I am usings Sins version.

I'm using a low-end GPS receiver BT-74R (which is inexpensive on ebay). Used it with my 750 both with WM5 and WM6 with no problems at all.

I use every week BT I-Tec slim 20, there's no problem with it. (wm5 or wm6)
That mean no GPS build in right ?
I mean build in GPS . Same as Trinity (HTC) after done from WM5 to WM6 and radio upgrade then GPS start to work on those device . Just my point is GPS will work on this device after upgrade to WM6 ... same device dont need to have another gps bluetooth
Cheer
As far as i know the 750 doesnt have built in GPS.

TomTom Navigator 6 on WM6

I'm hoping to be moving from my Treo 650 to the 750 soon. One thing that is holding me back is the seeming lack of support for WM6 from TomTom (my current GPS nav software of choice). Has there been any luck getting TomTom working on a WM6 Treo? If not, are there any alternatives that can do all that TomTom can do?
Thanks in advance,
David
I'm running TT6 on WM6 with no probs at all. It ran fine on my 750 with the 3 Australia ROM, and is still running beautifully after a vanilized my ROM.

Well I guess that does it for me. You have doomed me to many hours of "new toy syndrome".

From my experience you will regret it. We have bought several treo 750V and it is the most horrible pda i ever had. Even with the WM6 upgrade the treo is going to silent mode and wil only give an incoming sound after a soft reset. Reception is not good compared to other phones. Carkits wil only synchronize when you make catagoris on you're contacts. Calls are dropping etc.etc. Vodafone gives bad support and send us to palm. Palm will only look athe treo's if we paid for it.
Have TT6 runing on UK vodafone ROM no problems.
does ur tomtom mutes the voice directions (screen stays on) when a phone call comes in? or tomtom swtiches to today screen when call comes in?
Also, has anyone using TT6 in the US had a problem with cross country trips taking a literal ton of time (30 minutes) to route? It said it was checking streets... and went to 300000 before I gave up and canceled.

Hmm... after running several other softwares, I decided to try reloading TT6, and it's magically running just fine. Orlando to San Francisco in 2 to 3 minutes. Weird. Disregard.

When a call comes in TT6 mutes the voice direction and place an icon in the bottom-left corner (crossed speaker icon = no sound). It stays on TT6. It does not switches to the today screen.

What is the difference between the P3650 Cruise (Polaris) and the O2 XDA Orbit 2?

Hi all.
I'm sorry if this question has been asked before but what is the difference between the P3650 Cruise (Polaris) and the O2 XDA Orbit 2?
The reason I am asking is that I have recently had a Parrot MKi9200 handsfree car kit installed and my O2 XDA Orbit 2 seems to be unable to maintain a stable Bluetooth connection between the two?
I have contacted Parrot Technical Support and they have said that they have tested the MKi9200 with the P3650 Cruise (Polaris) and it works perfectly but at the moment they haven't tested it with the O2 XDA Orbit 2!
So I'm struggling to understand why the O2 XDA Orbit 2 won't work?
same hardware, different case, so firmware (ROM) -wise they are the same device, if your parrot device still doesn't work, you might want to update your ROM to the latest version at XDA site (official) or try a Polaris custom ROM from here until you find the right one for you.
Use search feature and read before posting, it's the best path you can follow.

Hi Drakh and Davidez2.
Thanks for getting back to me.
I'm afraid you've totally lost me!!!!!!
I'm new at this and I'm not quite sure what you mean and where I'm supposed to be looking!!!!!!
Many thanks.
Hi,
I have an Mki 9100 paired with my Orbit 2 and it works perfectly for telephony, but not so well for directions coming from TomTom.
I installed C Shekar's "b" rom when I got the phone and haven't looked back.
What are your symptoms?
Hi SpiggyTopes.

The symptoms I have is that I can't maintain a stable bluetooth connection.
Sometimes the Orbit 2 connects perfectly (telephony & CoPilot) and then after x minutes a "connection lost" message appears on the screen. (I've put 'x' minutes because it's not always the same amount of time).
Or, it may connect (telephony only) but still loses the connection after x minutes.
I've contacted Parrot and they finally come back to me to say that they have tested the MKi9200 with the HTC Touch Cruise but not the Orbit 2.
I have also tried a friends Touch Cruise with the MKi9200 and still had the same problem.
However, when I contacted Parrot again they said that there has been a problem with some of the HTC Touch Cruise's where the handset drops the Bluetooth connection when idle and that there is a "Hot Fix" to resolve this. (So I'm going to download this "hot fix" on the Touch Cruise and try it)
If this "hot fix" does resolve the Touch Cruise handset then I'm not sure whether to try the "hot fix" on the Orbit 2? Any thoughts?

As I said in one of my previous posts I'm a newbie to this so I'm not sure what you mean by you installed C Shekars "b" rom?

OK - re new ROM:
You can upgrade the built in part of the phone's memory which runs the phone itself. I didn't like the O2 system, so flashed it to another ROM, which is far far better.
You would need to be calm and collected to do it!
You download and run SP Unlock to completely unlock your phone. No changes to the working of the phone are made.
Backup your data if necessary
You download the ROM (C Shekar's "b" (not the "a") rom - you will find it in the upgrade forum). About 50 MB.
You run the ROM upgrade via your USB / Active Sync connection (I have Windows XP).
Done!
It will then work with Parrot.
I've done this several times with different phones, but if you are nervous about it, try to get some hands on help.
