..and some luck comes over us, if we need a special Hardware! Some HTC Devices handles SDHC, others do not...is this possible?Or not?
Extracting and installing the driver may be possible, Omap850 is there, but what about the CardSlot? Ive heard, there are some Specifications for SDHC...

SDHC driver
I happened to see a file called omap850_sdhc.dll in your own post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1407553&postcount=856
You opening this thread means this one doesn't work?
I already baught a 4 GB SDHC card a month ago to find out it doesn't work in any device i have... damn. Hope somebody can get a hold of the driver for us.
May not work..
...because ive read the sdhc.dll means HostControl and not HighCapacity....
yes arpy is right. i was misinformed. however, with that rom my system does not lag when writing (start & en) to card/
guys i've found some SD High Capacity dlls here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1462587&postcount=15
Install the cab (Storage.. or copy the files from the cab manually to \Windows) . I've tried it and I can use the card (with other dlls, eg from spv c100 or iphone rom , my storage card was not detected) [ however, the same system lag while writing to storage card]
I don't have a SDHC card to test.. so if someone has, please test it and report.

Hello,
Tried it on my Tornado, but doesn't work with SDHC. It doesn't detect the Storage Card. It does work with a 2 GB non-SDHC card. So no harm to install it, but you still cannot read SDHC. damn.
hi and thanks for testing
.. strange.. maybe we need newer version of omap850_sdhc.dll?
Unless I'm missing something here: The file you had linked was from a post in the Universal forums. The Universal doesn't have an OMAP850 cpu but an Intel Bulverde. Since the driver support is cpu dependent, it was to be expected that the one for the intel won't work for the omap.
Yes, but I can see and use the storage card with these dlls.
I've tried to copy sdbus.dll & sdmemory.dll from other WM5 build (omap850 smartphone) and the phone doesn't recognize the storage card anymore. After deleting these dlls (when deleting , the original file from ROM comes back) and rebooting , storage card is avaiable again.

problem with my sd card

Hi everybody
i've flashing my V1640 with ROM version 2.05.00 WWE and now it's impossible with the file explorer to access at my SD card
The size is 2Go and when i'm using my card with my computer, it's working !
Anybody can help me ?
Thanks a lot
I have the same problems with a 2GB Kingston SD card. It was always a bit unstable with the O2 rom, but now it locks up on the WM6 rom.
To explain what it is doing: When I insert the card, no problem, but when I try to browse to the card contents via file explorer (or Windows Media Player for example) the app locks up and after a while the Universal reboots. It also reboots as soon as you eject the card.
I haven't checked the card on a PC but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.
I am currently using my spare Kingston 1GB SD card without problems.
Hello zOmb13e
So i'm trying to use an older 256 Mo SD card and it's working perfectly ! you're right the 2go does'nt work with the WM6.
So now i must buy a 1Gb SD card
thanks a lot for your answer

It is more likely that the Rom you have flashed has SDHC support built in.
These drivers have issues with SOME non SDHC Cards.
Either search for JWrightMCPS's SDHC Driver Rollback cab, (I think there is a link in his post) or upgrade to his latest Rom which supports both, or wait for Laurentius and mine new update (release date 1st November) or buy an SDHC compatible card.
Cheers,
Beaty

Tell us more!!
Hoe exactly did you apply this driver and wich driver did you use?
The HTC or this for Fujitsu Siemens?
Isn't thoose the same things?
IS there any issues like wifi not working or Active Synk synchronization problems?
Yes, the driver fujitsu siemens works in Samsung SGH-I600 WM6 and it does not have problems of wifi and active sync, working all
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=83392&d=1209243092
THANKS GreateVK and FreePK
Final questions:
Does it needs a hard reset of the device when applying?
Can you removed it afterwards if something gets wrong?
Thankkkks
Not hard reset only it requests to reinitiate device, after installing to driver, and it is possible removed in removing programs.
Sorry by my English
Cool looking forward to test it!
When applied this driver works with non SDHC card too right?
Now I'm having 2GB Sandisk micro sd card, if I apply this SDHC driver, this card (2GB non SDHC) will work with no complications, isn't so?
I make a test now with one microsd 256mb and she recognizes, no problem
Hey guys - Thanks a million for this. I installed on my blackjack WM5 and works fine. However, it is only showing 4gb total storage - Is there something I need to do differently to make the full 8Gb available?
I am guessing I will need to upgrade to WM6 - If so, can anybody point me in the direction of the upgrade for an Australian version? I have checked the promotion site http://www.samsungmobile.com/promotion/i600/index.jsp but Australia is not listed and my version number i600DTGE2 doesnt work.
Cheers
Brenden
Help.
I get the message:
The installation on the SDHC driver was unseccessfull!
I tried to install it from the phone memory and from the memory card, still no result.
What's going wrong?

Hi
I have a small problem, my i600 doesn't see sd cards at all. I was hoping this driver would help but it doesn't. My phone always worked, and than suddenly it doesn't show a card anymore.
I tried on WM5, WM6, 2 microSD cards (1gb and 2gb), and an HDSD 8gb card, but still nothing

Turn off your phone and remove the SD card. Turn your phone back on, without the SD card inserted (leave the battery cover off). Insert the SD card while the phone is working after it has booted into Windows. Your card should be detected and mounted automatically.
Post here again if you need more help!
