I'll hopefully get my HTC TyTN delivered end of this week.
Upfront a few, but essential questions (sorry if misposted here but there isn't yet something like a HTC Hermes group):
1. Green Home Screen
Some of you like it, I was a bit shocked. Also I'm of the opinion that the contrast is better with the traditional blue colored Home Screen.
Has anyone of you any idea on how to switch back to the traditional blue colored homescreen ?
Would that be an easy task or require modification of the firmware ?
2. HSDPA/EDGE Hack
As far as I know the TyTN also supports EDGE. Btw: can anyone confirm this ?
While the EDGE Tweak works perfectly on my MS Smartphone (Qtek 8300), will it also work on the TyTN ?
Is there also a HSDPA Tweak, thus enabling e.g. a "H" instead of an "U" ?
3. PDF User Manual
Does anyone know where it can be downloaded from ?
Is it on the CD delivered with the device ?
If so would anyone be so kind as to upload it to the ftp ?
4. Customized Case for the TyTN
The case for the Wizard should fairly fit, though maybe not perfectly.
If you compare the dimension of the Wizard and the TyTN in particular the lengths are different by some 4mm, which could make the case not fit so well.
Has anyone already seen a customized case specially designed for the TyTN ?
Is there one delivered within the box ? If so does it fit well and look cute ?
5. HTC Hermes Forum
I herewith kindly ask the moderators to open up a dedicated HTC Hermes Forum in order to have the increasing number of postings related to that new type of device posted (and picked) there !

BTW: Can I use the CABs from my Wizards ExtRom (VPAcII) for the Trion? Or is it even possible to use a backup from the Wizard?

I saw it a few days ago. I don't need it yet, because the Homescreen looks just like I want it.

It really slows down the ppc. Altought its very good costumizer.

no i guess what i ment to say is i wanted to put a spotlight on a cool app for people who might not know its there. but if this thread is really so harmful to the wizard forum then the moderator can delete it otherwise you people can just keep bumping my thread to the top.
I think it's a good idea to have a single thread with all the software versions or something. It's a chaos now on this forum with software everywhere and everybody gives his/her thread a different name (format)

i have the same speed problems. Also after removing the software and disabling the htc home plugin, the ppc is very slow.
Anyone a solution?

Hi, I am just curious to see what other peoples homescreen looks like. I seem to get very bored of the same thing for too long. Guess the g/f should be worried eh So I am always looking for new layouts for my phone. Anyways, here is a picture of my current homescreen. I am using wm5 on my sp5m.
Mine is an HTC Home with Facada/Battery/Calendar and Skype, oh yeah and a Vista Wallpaper
Nothing fancy here.. HTC-Home with customised Blue theme. I could do with tidying it up a bit more to fit more info on.
Just HTC Home + Recent programs on Tornado (left) and the same + HTC Media Player on Vox (right)

Are you referring to the utility that you get when you enter "HTC Advanced Configuration" into Google?

Man, I almost hate to say it but:
I think I may have liked it better when we all went off on freakin' questions like this! In the past week alone, there have been so damn many of questions on par with this one: a question that could EASILY be answered by (1) a simple search or (2) just reading a page or 2 of the damn headers in this forum!
I'm sure I've asked my share of questions that most of the senior members knew as well as they know their names. But, this question is almost on the same level as "Where's my Kaiser's stylus?"

This is not possible. That sliding interface is for WM6.1 standard. It is designed for smartphones (non-touchscreen). WM6.1 Professional is for the Kaiser/TytnII. It does not have that interface.
1. Most of that loooong Video is about WM6.1 Standard for Smartphones (sans touchscreen).
2. This question has been asked time and again, there are several threads with "official" test roms of WM6.1 but nothing has "officially" shipped yet.
3. I'm closing this thread for the above 2 reasons.

This might be quite easy for you to do, but I've just bought an HTC Touch Diamond and I'm still learning.
