Received my O2 XDA mini S yesterday, and after an 8 hour charge and the past week of reading about these forums, I'm ready to go. However I can't seem to login to the FTP? I've tried the following combinations:
username:xda
passwordassword I registered with for the forum
username:EViS
passwordassword I registered with for the forum
What am I doing wrong? Have I missed something obvious?
username:xda
password:xda
Don't forget to deactivate windows firewall.
Edit: XDA was in cap. because of automatic wiki link. Fixed now
Ah, only works when using an FTP client . Thanks!

Every time, every time i try, just received server rejected or something like that.....anyone could tell me was i being banned?
Cheers.
Yup you're banned, sorry wrong continent ;-)
Try this ftp://xda:[email protected]
otherwise use xda for use & pass
Cheers, M
still doen't work...
PS:i'm in UK now.why bans me...
Erro:530 Permission denied
Yes that's what I mean, you shouldn't have been on an Island ;-)
Ok but that's strange, cause it even works on my magician with PIE & resco ftp client. Must be something with your browser or client, cause user & pass are xda. Last resort user xdaupload & pass xda.
I got no knowledge off browser/client settings for the ftp. Maybe even your firewall/virus scanner is blocking it.
Sorry that I'm not more capable.
Regards, M
wied...completely ok now...thanks dude.
Available for download at O2's website :
http://www.seeo2.com/user/XdaAtom/template/XdaAtom_MRROMUpgrade_Jan2006.vm
Nadavi.
After running this update.. the speed is much much better.
BUT there is a bug where if you soft reset your Atom, the SMSs that you have will be deleted! a very stupid bug
Does anyone know how to fix this bug?
Thanks
NR
i also have this problem!!!
Does anyone happen to have a direct URL? I constantly have problems logging in to the O2 website:
1st Attempt:
Page not found:
https://www.seeo2.com/user/XdaAtom/...pgrade_Jan2006.vm/region/null/redirected/true
2nd Attempt:
Password incorrect and returned to the login page
Stupid enough is that I KNOW the password is right (fyi, its not "yeahsure" ) and I have verified it by asking for a password reminder. I've logged in successfully before, but am now unable to log in using both Firefox and IE.. Any thoughts, or better yet, any direct URL to the ROM? Thanks in advance!
Ok it seems to be caused by my ISP (Starhub 6500). I tried using another machine in the house and experienced the same issue. Used someone elses account to login, same problem. Finally, decided to connect to my work's vpn and set the work proxy and was able to login perfectly. Anyways, for those who need the direct URL:
http://www.seeo2.com/user/XdaAtom/t...ction/downloadfile/28/dpr/188806/swupgrade/30
Ah hates O2 website.
I need the ROM to upgrade my sister's Atom (she is too computer illiterate to do it herself, and I'd better not let her lest she wreck her device and blame me for giving her the site). Your link merely packs me off to the sign in page. I cannot grab the upgrade because I do not own an Atom personally.
O2's site is horrendously designed. It looks ok on the outside but the backend is a mess; apparently they aren't prepared for users who block scripts and cookies as a matter of routine - any who do so get an instant 'our site is undergoing maintenance message... misleading, isn't it? (Their site works better with IE than with Firefox, incidentially.)
Why can't they just put the ROMs up a direct download page, torrent or FTP like everyone else? (It's probably because they want to profile their customers. Sheeze.)
hi all,
i just joined this forum; my thanks to all these developers for some amazing work.
2 days b4 while browsing i found that wm2k5 option is avble for xda 2. i did the upgrade - tofclock2.01.00wwe - very smooth. I want to use doc tools. i wanted to download the unlocker and other tools. i went to buzzdev.net and registered there 4 times!!!! even then, there is no email on registration. here in this forum all directions are towards buzzdev. can someone help? ( i tried the ftp as well, ie warns me of a trick and mozilla just keeps itself busy for some time and backs up doing nothing!!!!
regards
Hi,
I've learnt a lot from all the great posts on the site & have upgraded my wizard several times - Thanks to everyone who put so much work into the roms - I'm currently on Core 2.0
An error message that told me my connections were wrong when using Activesync and online sync led me to this connection wizard:
http://www.europe.htc.com/support/software/htcp3600.html
Its the last link on this page & now I have a quick and easy way to set all my phones settings with no typing !
I know its not shown as being for the Wizard but it does work, I havent tried any of the other links on this page!
Hope this is of use
Antony
I've seen this posted before.

Thanks this is a great help!
I have just discovered Open Market and it is quite frankly a bit more reach in free apps.
Look for OpnMarket
I would like people to use this thread to share the best apps for HTC HD2.
Come on have your say.
Mine so far is WIFI Remote Access v1.00
Enables to browse the content of your Windows Phone 6.5 or Windows Mobile 6.0, 6.1 device from your computer's web browser using a WIFI connection without installing anything on your computer!
Hi Ive tried the open market and its ok , too bad that there aint more like open market where you can get more apps .

People would benefit from searching xda developers a bit more thouroughly (or in some cases, at all!) before looking elsewhere for applications. This community has much more to offer than any other single location on the internet (including Wifi Remote Access v1.7)

totally agree with you. whatever i'm looking for i usually end up finding it here anyway.
I'm still anxiously waiting for XDA-Marketplace.....! Already there isa version for Android, I'm wondering how long it will take for a WM version, since originally xda-developers was intended for windows mobile... That's the one I want to have!
Can't seem to get Omarket to function properly on my HD2. It requires a login or registration and attempt to register, but it says my information is incorrect...LOL
At first it would say my email was incorrect, and I tried 3 email address, then it says there's an error in the fields.

Just go to www.freewarepocketpc.net and register there. it worked for me
first I look at openmarket and after here bc I way easier then here to search the forums. OpenMarket is a must have.
PS: a shame that they try to make another one and dont work together. One place with all stuff, that must be the target
