Ring Tone for Bluetooth - General Topics

Hello:
I have been trying to find a way of changing the Bluetooth ring tone. It is more likely nothing very important, but after I change the ring tone in PDA for an MP3 that I like, I found that if the call came and the Bluetooth is one we will have a different ring tone in the BT device. I tried with two different BT and both have the same different music.
After I try to find it in the regedit a key for the BT tone, I also check the major .mid .wav and .wma in the windows folder but I couldn´t found the same music…. HHummm
Well, thanks for the reading

Script to redirect ringtones to BT headset *experimental*

Well, redirecting all BT audio became kind of a problem... it was eating up battery power on my S200 and headset.
So I wrote a new script for using the headset only for phone calls. The audio is redirected when an incoming call is detected, so that ringtones can be heard through the headset. This is particularly useful for using custom ringtones and in noisy environments when it's hard to hear the phone ring.
I've been having a hard time getting the script to work properly, but hopefully the script is now bug free. The problem I've encountered is that the headset will turn off (!!!) if the audio gateway is turned on too late. So like I said, this is *experimental*.
You will need VJVolubilis and MortScript like in my previous script - see previous post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=287691
I've included the scripts and a shortcut, which points to \program files\tools like before.
Note: I have *not* been able to get this to work on my stereo A2DP headset - only works on mono headset.
P.S. If you have a BT headset that can custom handle ringtones out-of-the-box, please tell me what model you have! Thanks!

Ringtones not going to bluetooth

Hi,
When I still had wm5, whenever I received a call, the bluetooth headset interrupts the music being played and plays my ringtone. However in wm6, it still interrupts my music, however the ringtone comes out of the speakers of the cellphone. Is there anyway to remedy this without the need for any expensive software?

bluetooth and ringtones

how do I get my ringtones to work with my bluetooth?
I could get them to work with my tp but I can't get it to work on my tp2
i have good ole sprint.
what settings in voice commands do i use?
Doesnt work
I used to use an old Cab file that allowed my ringer to work on my BT on my old TP but my TP2 does not work with this function.
This old Cab allowed me to use my mono BT ear piece to listen to music on it but the new BT on the TP2 will only work with a sterio headset and that sterio headset must allow you to use sterio while on a call with someone to hear a ringer.
I just purchased a Nokia BT headset that has a Sterio feature that works with what you are trying to do but it is up to you if you want to spend the money to attempt to work this bug out.
Hopefully someone has a cab out there that will let us use our old mono BT headsets to work with both of these functions.
so the h700 wont work except to hear the beeps with the tp2 even though the tp allowed it to play ringtones through the headset?
i thought we were advancing not falling back in technology
and I want it to just know whos calling by the ringtone. I could care less about listening to music
been testing settings and IO can listen to my ringtones and music through my h700.
but when I get a incoming call it just chirps in my ear . but if i hang up the test call i get about 2 seconds of the ringtone.
Ringtones to BT fix
Had the same problem on my Sprint HTC TP2 Stock 6.5WM ROM and fixed it with this reg edit....
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WIDCOMM\Plugin\HandsFree]
"SupportedFeatures"=dword:000005EF (1519)
My dword value was 1383, changed it to 1519, soft reset and TA-DA!

[Q] Ringtone different between received call and setting it

When I select/test a ringtone (my own mp3 file), it's fine. When I then phone my z3 the ringtone sounds different. It's the same piece of music but it's as if it's been subject to some sort of filter, or some of the notes aren't playing (as if it were a midi file, not an mp3, and some channels are missing).
Have anyone else experienced this? I'm up to date with updates etc.

Bluetooth ringtone issue

Hello, my issue is that when i am receiving calls via bluetooth (either on the car or on my handsfree etc) the ringtone is never what i have on my android, but is the default of each device. Problem is, i am getting heart attacks every time someone is calling me when i am on my car as the default ringtone is extremely loud. Are there any options anywhere that i missed, which will enable me to change the default bluetooth ringtone when i am connected to other devices? Thanks in advance
bump!
There's no way of getting your 'chosen' ringtone that plays on your phone, to play on your bluetooth device.
Bluetooth devices that have a ring function tend to be a very basic phone, it doesn't have the features to install bespoke ringtones.
