The XDA IQ will be available internally on the 2nd, and publically on the 9th of May.
Havnt got a source, sorry, but I heard in good faith.
Finally, been waiting for o2 uk to release this phone for ages..
i have an xda atom (for about a month) which i'm thinking about selling and getting an xda iq instead... - anyone seen side by side photo comparisons of the two units? or maybe an tornado next to a prophet?
the atom is nice but i think i'd prefer going back to a normal phone form factor (so long as it isnt too big) and save myself about £100 in the process.

Anyone bought the Extended Battery? i saw it's available from the uk O2 website, but without the specifications about it... if someone own it, pls dont hesitate to post some informations about it here ... thanks.
Do you mean for the xda II? If so, I don't think that there is one.... if you look at the site http://www.xda-2.co.uk/accessories/peripherals.html the extended battery is for the original XDA which is a little misleading to say the least as it is on the xda ii accessories site.

And i am still waiting, on the delivery. ordered it a full month ago at expansys. and today they informed me that they expect the delivery at the end of february. to much iffsssss and whennnnnsss
Officially there is an extended battery for the XDA II. You can however use a spare (charge it in the sync station). The only one is for the XDA (which you couldn't take the battery out of so it kinda screwed on).
You can however (shortly) get an expansion pack for the XDA II which will house an extra battery and give you outputs to monitors and compact flash compatibilty too - at a price - £89.99. Due to be released in the next few weeks.
As far as I know! - work for O2!
I sell O2 Mobile phones - we have a new one on the way called the XDA IQ or QI (they make have made a spelling error) - but I can't find a reference to this on any forum or web site... anyone know what this is normally called? Is it the Atom, Orion, Neo, Prophet, JamIn, Tornado, or something else, or am I barking mad?
We were shown a pic of it in some obscure training session, and it was black, but can't remember if there was a keypad or not.... I'm thinking Orion (http://www.gsmarena.com/o2_xda_orion-1373.php) or Atom (http://www.gsmarena.com/o2_xda_atom-1372.php).
Cheers for any light youse can shed.
its still pretty dark in this room of yours. i'm also looking for any light, spoke to a guy at T3 who said he had seen something new pop out of the closet, but it might have been hermes. can't be sure for myself.
I think its a tornado and its called an xda orion in other countries. Also read somewhere that its due for release 9th may.
Have you any idea of price yet?

Hi everyone,
I've just been on the phone to O2 regarding my contract with my XDA mini s that had ended. I asked if there was any new XDAs planning to be released. The lady on the phone said that there are two planning to be released on the 15th January 2007.
They are called:
XDA Zinc
XDA Exec Graphite
She didn't have any other details to give me but I am wondering if anyone else has heard about these and if anyone knows anymore information about them? If there good it would be worth me hanging about and upgrading in a few months.
Chris
Yep O2 seem to be telling people about these product names but not giving out any details, and thus far none of the regular mobile sites have any info on them. I guess since they are not using HTC anymore they have found a manufactuer who can keep their mouth shut
From what I have been able to find out Graphite will be running WM5 Smartphone and Zince will be running WM5 Pocket Pc. I got this from Asian site, I couldn't make out what the rest of it said
Hi again,
I've been crawling round the internet about this. From this site http://www.dtac.co.th/th/10digits/10dg_modellist.aspx they state in brackets that the Graphite is O2 Jupiter. Searching for O2 Jupiter turns back a fair few results. It looks like its being made by asus. In the results theres alot mentioned about O2 Mars which looks like the TyTN/wizard, specs look good having 520Mhz Intel processor, 64MB RAM, 128MB ROM etc. These of course could all be different phones but still interesting.

I called 02 today with regards to my ocntract upgrade. The only phone i'm interested in is the xda atom exec, so they mentioned that there are 2 (above stated) xda's comming out. She them put me on hold and came back after 5 min and said that the XDA Atom Exec is going to be the graphite and zinc with different specifications. This info came from o2 customers service, so i guess it's true and the release date is the 15th Jan.
well hopefully they introduce new data plans when they release these handsets because at the moment data charges cost a bomb!
XDA Zinc
I can't find anyone in O2 that seems to know any plans for releasing the Zinc in the UK.
:-(
im lookinf forward to this

just went to the website and folned them up on the freed phone No because I couldn't see the link you mentioned. they said they hadn't released that model yet that you mentioned, and that they didn't do contract free offers, so you can feel better about your bargin again.
I emailed O2 yesterday asking when the XDA Serra would be launched, as this was the name I was led to believe O2 would be giving to the Raphael/Touch Pro. I just got the following reply:
"I understand the XDA Serra to be the HTC Touch Pro. We are expecting to call this device the XDA Crystal and has an expected release date of 03 November 2008."
I am an XDA Stellar (Kaiser/TytnII) user and will seriously consider replacing it with the XDA Crystal as I think the Crystal will offer almost all of the same features but will have a better UI and will be faster to respond due to more memory.
Any thoughts?
check out the forum and u wil know wat u should expect...
