Forum Says:
The Himalaya phone is sold as XDA II, MDA II, Qtek 2020 and many other names. The Andes is the updated version that has a 1.3 megapixel camera, sold (among other names) as the XDA IIi.

Wiki says:
PocketPC Phone Edition device made by HTC from Taiwan.
Before public release HTC codenamed the Himalaya internally as Andes
Also known as O2 XDA II, T-Mobile MDA II, Qtek 2020, iMate Phone Edition, TSM500 and probably a few lesser known brand names.

Hi,
browsing the internet I found that both XDA mini and XDA II mini are existing and they are not the same, but unfortunately I could not found a comparison (in each page only one of them is mentioned and at each seller only one of them is available).
Besides the name I guess the processor type is different (PXA270 and PXA272) and that XDA mini can be bought in Germany (according to regional O2 pages).
Can anyone clarify it?
Thx in advance,
/tp
This is being discussed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=31161
Really? I cannot not find any related info to my question there.
I asked about O2 XDA II Mini, not MDA Compact II (and not Magician2)...
/tp
Er...OK...my mistake.
Having said that though, the same probably still applies.
Very good site helped me loads with my XDA IIs, but I now have an O2 XDA iq AKA Qtek 8310 and HTC Innovation.
Does this phone have a separate forum yet? I've been thinking it was under the HTC Tornado, but the patches / software for this phone does not work for the IQ.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ashley
Just seen the new section set up
I've just seen the new, empty, sub forum set up - thanks
is it really possible ? i couldn't find any information about this pda
Probably be best if you started a thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=256
This is the part of the forum for HTC Universals (also called Dopod 900, O2 Xda Exec, I-Mate JasJar, Qtek 9000(?), etc...) - it is not for ROMs that are Universal.
Sorry!
This is mainly an HTC site. This is a Universal forum, you won't find it here.
Hi!
Is there anywhere that you could download the original release of WM6.1 without all the HTC mods but with the sliding interface as seen here? http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsmobile...-of-cool-new-windows-mobile-6-1-features.aspx
WIKI
Read the WIKI there you will find it!
Cheers
I know who has it.

This is not possible. That sliding interface is for WM6.1 standard. It is designed for smartphones (non-touchscreen). WM6.1 Professional is for the Kaiser/TytnII. It does not have that interface.
1. Most of that loooong Video is about WM6.1 Standard for Smartphones (sans touchscreen).
2. This question has been asked time and again, there are several threads with "official" test roms of WM6.1 but nothing has "officially" shipped yet.
3. I'm closing this thread for the above 2 reasons.
Hello,
why is here no Thread for Xda comet? It is also a XDA or not?
Or is one here and i cant find it?
Bye Werewolve
the xda comet is a german version of Atom thats what i read here
As this device isn't manufactured by HTC it is highly unlikely there will be a separate forum for it.
This forum is aimed at devices manufactured by HTC, which all the initial XDAs were.

ok thx.
what is the difference between this:
O2 Xda Atom / O2 Xda Atom Pure / O2 Xda Atom Life / O2 Xda Atom Exec / Hewlett-Packard iPAQ rw6828
is it all the same?
I ask because i found a rom for Atom and in Thread stand that it was only for O2 XDA Atom Life!
Can i Install it on my German XDA Comet? Link to Thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=460145
Sorry for my bad english!
Bye

Word of the wise,
If you are not certain, don't do it
Straight from the Wiki
"The XDA Atom (black)/Atom Pure (white) is a PDA Phone Hybrid from Quanta which is rebadged and also sold as HP rw6828. Although the HP rw6828 is a hardware clone, the DOC is not formatted in the same way. Both have different bootloaders and device drivers; such that, they can not exchange ROM upgrades directly without porting."
yes they are all the same, but please read carefully every thing, i will not be responsible for any flashing!
Bur are they the same as XDA comet? Because XDA comet has 620 Mhz and the ATom Life has only 416MHz!?
Like I said, if you are not certain, don't do it. You could try to find some info about the device in the Atom forums
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=251
Check with the other Atom owners and see what they can tell you. Good luck!
