XDA Neo english ROM!

hey guys, is there any XDA neo official english rom available?

Xda Neo is for German market only, so obviously there will not be an English ROM for Xda Neo. But as you know Xda Neo is a brand of HTC Prophet, which has other similar brands like Qtek S200, i-mate JAmin, Dopod 818Pro... and all these products have English ROM, so you can upgrade your Neo with these English ROM image. Unfortunately i dont know any method how to upgrade to another language other than using JAFWM USB device.

Tamagochi:
You can download either the new qtek wwe or imate jaming rom (i'll suggest you use the i-jaming rom. It is more stable and has no memory leak like the qtek rom.) to upgrade it the english version. But then , you will have to get rid of the CID check. It you search the prophet section you will find information on how to override the CID check. The best method is to use the hack provided by machinegod (once again search through the forum). Instruction on "How TO" is provided.

Need help on installing the english version of ROM for XDA N

I have purchased a XDA Neo and This is the first time I am using the XDA. I have no clue how to change the existing German ROM to English, Can someone please guide me in details how this can be done.

Hi Guys
I tried some things yesterday to change the ROM of XDA NEO
I first tried to install the
JAMin_WWE_213923_2139123_022021_ship
this failed with error 294 invalid Vender ID
I tried to search the forum and there I can accross
one posting where I can unlock the CID, using
Enable Rapi.bat
I again tried the same executable but it again failed
with the same error
Then I came accross another executable to unlock the
CID
romupdateutility.exe
and there was a rom associated with that
RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship.exe
I installed that and it worked
Most of the Posting here says that
JAMin_WWE_213923_2139123_022021_ship is the best for XDA NEO
As the CID lock is now removed so I thought I should
be able to indtall the JAmin Rom and tried that but
that failed with this error
Error [296] upgrade only
This NBF file cannot be used for your PDA phone please
get newer NBF File
Can you please guide me if its good to install the JAmin Rom, if yes how can i do that and avoid this 296 error

This is possible....
Download the latest ROM update from I-mate Website or rather ftp.clubimate.com - and extract the ROM to a folder and replace the romupdateutil.exe from MachineGod into the folder.
Now you can check for a thread in the forum for this exe file(look for VendorID hack). Right now I don't have it. But if you can't find it lave me an email will send you once I'm back home on Monday.
All thanks to MachineGod for the altered Util with the verdorID hack.
It works great on my phone.. since past two weeks.... I had a German Version of XDA Neo which is now loaded with the latest WWE ROM for Imate JaMin.

O2 Mini English ROM > Chinese ROM

Hi all,
I have an O2 Mini and now I'd like to pass it to my dad. However, I must change its ROM from english to chinese beforehands.
I tried to do a search here before asking, but most of them indicated only changing from other langauges to english but not the way I needed.
Can anyone please tell me how it can be done in detail (like step by step) as I'm not quite an IT guy.
Any help is much appreciated.

U can download the O2 mini chinese rom in xda ftp, and run romupdate with no pain.

not possible. My friend tried to flash a Chinese Mini O2 with an English ROM (with NoID upgrade utility), yet it fails.
I don't know why...
Anyone have a better idea how to flash different language?

How does it fail specifically? Does the flasher report an error on the computer or does the Mini fail to start, or such?

basically, it just did not start. error with country code not found or something like that" any idea is appreciated.

You mentioned using the NoID upgrade utility. You did try it at least three times in sucession, right? The NoID supposedly only kicks in after the second or third attempt to upgrade.

That 's right, I used the NoID ROM upgrade...with 1st attempt failed and I continue with 2nd attempt, also failed

copy the file "enterBL" into yr device and run it , will become boot mode and upgrade the CHT 2003 SE Version ..

VPA II Compact Vodafone WM6

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and hope someone could help me... I have the German VPA II Compact and want to flash the new WM6 on it... I downloaded the HTC Wizard rom (T-Mobile) (MDA_software_update_226102_22610105_022511) and flashed it to my VPA II and after reboot nothing happend, the Vodafone Software installed again on the PPC. I tried another ROM (WM6BE) this time I couldn't flash it error message.
Can you help me to get the right rom to install and how to get the German support for the Keyboard.... I have the G3 VPA (IPL/SPL 2.21)

You should not just start flashing roms or you can wind up with a brick instead of a phone. Until you learn the proper steps to upgrade, don't attempt anything else.

O2 XDA Neo Hang

Hi All
I have O2 XDA Neo which hangs on start. I have tried to download ROM but seems all the ftp area has been disabled at xda forums. Can somebody please post here G4 ROM with which I can flash the Phone.

What have you done bevore?
Did you flash another ROM bevor your device hangs?
If you are seriously looking for some ROMs even WM6 you should take a look at here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=310452
But bevore you can flash your device should run again.
Did you try a hardreset?

XDA 2 mini Software Update

Hi... I need help please if u can.... I have an xda II mini product and i want to upgrade my system software because now it dead... I tryed to upgrade my extrom and its failed and my xda II mini its dead... I try to register on o2 website and i cant do that with this my IMEI... Why ? When power up my xda II mini it stay in blank screen and display to screen just "serial" and "BT 1.02" ... What is that ? Wont power up.... Please send any link when i cand download Xda II mini ROM upgrade May 2005 (ENG)... or tell me how i can register to o2 website to download this Xda II mini ROM upgrade May 2005 (ENG)...
