I know, was only making a point......
I understood that, else I've responded otherwise.
But this thing bothers me too. Leaving the fun out of it,
I used mUn's aRTM as a base ROM and that doesn't mean that what it has came up to now it's still his creation. No disrespect mUn, you helped me alot and I didn't forgot it.
There is a big difference between me and that Hong. Honestly, I wouldn't mind that bad if he took my Xplore and modded it hard (change splashscreens, anything, everything...not just to add programs) and then if he used ANOTHER NAME . Of course leaving the "Can I use your rom ?" part out of it.
So putting me next to him is an personal offence.
I am just tired that some people are pure blind. Allright, I used mUn's rom as a base, so what ? Does anybody know where mUn gets his base roms ? Does anybody care ? NO ! As long as what the final product is real good, I don't give a sh**

...again, glad to be of help. You're doing a great thing here Iulian, respect.
Also, still, Hong and the PDAmobiz site, as the PDAViet site are doing great things also for a lot of people in their region. Don't forget, the first modified ROM's were the PDAViet's, Me as a lot, most, of the people here started with this WM on their machine.

Why not help them, and try cooking your own ROM? Maybe you could come up with a few fixes of your own while you're at it...
(Not that I can help much though...I'm having trouble figuring out what does what in a ROM image, let alone try implementing new functionality... )

Or you could use HTC64 Extended ROM Tool to decode the ROM, then edit the resulting image directly with, say, WinImage... Just a thought, though.
After you open up the image, you can swap CABs, and maybe extract them, and edit them directly. That way, you might get some results, who knows.

The first good news I heard for months. THANKS.
These past few months I just read the forums and just browse through the WM6 section. Just like DJ, I got sick and tired of trying out WM6 ROMs with no good results, even the one's I tried cooking with the ROM cooker.
I also agree with DJ's point, with WM5, we know we have a good working ROM, we just have to make it better, rather than creating a WM6 ROM from scratch and end up with a more messed up ROM filled with unfixable bugs.
I've been using the T-Mobile NL ROM (WM5) for months now.

I think you have choosen a wrong thread in the wrong forum!
This is the forum of imperfect rom where everybody is trying to make it perfect...as much as it could be....
I said it "imperfect" because if someone is looking for a stable rom then vendor (i.e O2, T-Mobile etc.) provided rom is the best suit for him, not it? OK, think, O2 released the WM6 for Uni then why we (including you) are here? We are here, because no vendors are interested to release it for our Uni.
You have the rom and rom kitchen as well, meaning that the whole bunch of .dll's, .exe's and all other related files with you. Why no helping this community for a perfection, build a bug-free beautiful rom for our Uni where everything should work as expected and as it should be?

If you are talking about hermes ROMs, then, you may be right, but, if you are talking about universal, then, there are not more than 10-15 ROMs(for wm6)
Lets me re-frase my question: which room would you say is with least errors?
here is your answer, set aside a few hours, install the latest ones and decide which one you like the most.
there is no 'best' rom, only those that suit your tastes/needs more.

best rom is PDAVIET 2.10.11 ROM, with Radio 1.18 ... and it is the only ROM I've tried ;-)
Best WM5 ROM is the official WM5 ROM.
Best WM6 ROM depends on your preference. No ROM has the "least Errors/Bugs". They have the same amount of Errors/bugs. If you don't believe me, try them all.
Once you're done, you are no longer a n00b. And you are no longer new in this "Business". You are now out of what you thought was xda-noobies. Welcome to xda-developers.

this is the best rom in my experience! I had installed all WM6 Rom. like hermes, PDA VIET... event with some rom of Ivan! But this rom is very stable, ram recovering well after using some software, especially when log in internet through wifi! May be with my device is the best but I think you should try it first to save your time!

For sure...Read and try the differents roms avalaible and you could make your own choice : you'll find the better rom ...

I've tried certainly all wm6 released on universal. Each rom have advantage and inconvenient...
The best way is to test it yourself !

why dont u cook ROM for us?
I have Blackdragon's kitchen with WM6.1 Wanted to do a plain vanilla but we were stuck at the wifi issue. I also wanted to include tweaks from Gnats and Phils but failed too.
Any help from you will be very much appreciated.

I was planning on gifting my Tornado for testing purposes.
Mine is Noble, so a Tempo owner would be good. I've noticed that when a ROm is made for a Noble, with media buttons and a registry setting (I've heard mention of), my joystick is not sticky. Could be wrong though...

I think everything will work out for you if we can all follow my grandfather's advice and keep her in the kitchen.

I was thinking about creating a decibelmeter-application for windows mobile and have made it half-way so far. Am having some difficulties with programmatically computing the correct output in decibel, ie converting the data gathered to a decibel-number.
I know it has been made before (see post here) but apparently heliosdev gave up or just stopped working on it.
Does anyone have a clue? I know that it will be "quite" in-accurate, but it will still be fit for my needs and give a rough estimate.

Hehehe, yea, I know, but I kinda realized that its of no use. The measurement will be too inaccurate (basically because of the microphone) and it will take quite alot of horsepower to calculate the dB in realtime I'm afraid. At least if doing it the way I had in mind...
