midi sms tone - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

Is there a way for the xda mini or any of the xda models to use midi as polyphonic sms tone, not only for ringtone. Nokia and other phone models uses polyphonic tones for their sms but the xda can only use wav, wma and mp3 format.

by adding WAV files of the type ACPM (default windows pcm wav)
to the \windows dir

be sure that it is .wav or .wma or .midi not mp3 cuz himalaya doesnt support mp3 as a tone
Cheers
mid and wma are only supported for ring tones not for pda sounds such as sms notification and alarms and such
only wav works there

MP3's as Ringtones on XDAIIi?

I'd like to use MP3's as ringtones but it seems like the the XDA will only allow .WAV files. I have put the MP3s in the Ringtones folder but the ringtone select option only shows me the .WAVs.

MP3 possible!
I'm using an XDAII myself...and I have like 60 mp3 songs in it. I'm practically using my xda2 as an mp3 player whenever i travel.
I'm quite sure mp3s can be loaded in the fone. also playing mp4, wav, midi, etc.

Using Spotify for Android ringtones

Hello,
I'm using the Humble Froyo Rom on my Droid Charge and I'm wondering if there is a way to use Spotify music as ringtones on the phone. Spotify allows for offline play, but I can't figure out how to translate this into using a song as a notification ringtone.
Actually, it may take some skills to set Spotify as your ringtone. You should know that several audio formats can be set as ringtones, no matter what brand your phone is. In common, MP3, M4A, WAV, and OGG are on the permitted list. So, in other words, the key to setting Spotify music as a ringtone is how to convert Spotify music to MP3, M4A, or other formats.
Indeed, there are many Spotify music converters you can choose from. I, myself, have tried the Audbite Spotify Music Converter. So far so good! Simple steps with quick speed. If you are interested, you can have a try!
