MP3 possible!
I'm using an XDAII myself...and I have like 60 mp3 songs in it. I'm practically using my xda2 as an mp3 player whenever i travel.
I'm quite sure mp3s can be loaded in the fone. also playing mp4, wav, midi, etc.

do you know where i can get it from?
one tip...
you can use google to find something...
http://betaplayer.corecodec.org/
or.... you can try converting your .avi files (and other video format) to .wmv files using the windows xp movie maker. then just transfer the converted file to your xda2 and u should have no problem playing it.
hope this helps!
thank you all for responding.
The BetaPlayer suggestion was best.
Now I have found a encoder and also a very good player to both convert my movies and also view them on the XDA II.
Pocket DivX Encoder & Betaplayer did the trick.
Thank you very much.
This rocks! Thanks Guys!
In under 10 minutes, ive encoded the latest episode of Battlestar Galactica and Im now sitting here at my desk watching it on my MDA3.

Hp stereo headset - succes listen music with them!!!

Hi!!!
Finally i listen to music with my HP stereo headset.
I use BCHS FOR POCKET PC OZONE drivers
But i have some problems, windows media player only conect with my stereo headset when i play 128 or up mp3, never wma or mp3 with less compresion.
Help for this??
Thanks to all and excuse me for my english
No idea???
Nobody has any idea?? :? :?
No. Nobody has any idea. Seriously.
They're limitations of windows media player and windows mobile 2003. WM5 is better, apparently.
Seriously, search a bit before posting.
Awesome! I was wondering if this combination works!
I don't think I keep any MP3s with a bitrate lower than that anyway.

I have read the treath of BCHS FOR POCKET PC OZONE and i know that many people succes and stream mp3 but they have problems with compression, for this reason i open this topic
I use 44 k mp3 because i record it from radio or download from radio directly
Thanks for all!!!
I thought radio was 22k?
Here when i took from ondacero it has 44
Thought I would add - just got the same headphones, with the same stack, confirmed as working.
Volume on the headset works, but track forward, back, pause and play don't work.
Quality is awesome, but it's a streamed buffer. If your Magician is busy, you'll get a little skipping/blanks. I like how you can mute the Magician, but you still get bluetooth audio.
Oh yeah, only works in WMP.

searching good mp3/aac/ video/music player

Hi to everyone.
I am searching for an good mp3 and eventually aac player. windows media player is nice for a few songs but I really hate the way you use the libary (the way you need to change one directory up for other artist etc with you stylus).
tcpmp is nice for movies but not for mp3 playback with more than 50 songs - or am I wrong?
i have heard of ppod but development is frozen and i dont know if i should try it?!
what do you use and what can you recommend?
Ohhh : I need the software for wm2003se (its a HTC Magician)
kind regards, VL

Application to play FLAC audio files?

Hi, I've got a HTC Touch HD (Blackstone). I'm looking for a free application that can play FLAC audio files.
The inbuilt music player (in TouchFlo 3D) and the Windows Media Player recognise and play normal mp3s fine.
I have tried GS Player
http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA032810/
but I didnt like the interface and still couldnt get it to read my FLAC files.
Can someone help me please?
PocketPlayer can play FLAC it's not free but well worth the price considering features.
Use TCPMP player, it's great for flac files
Look here:

I copied some FLAC files to be sim card but I cant even see them. When I open ASTRO I cant even see them? How do I play FLAC? I am trying to use WinAMP.

Can anyone make the htc media player run flac and wave files?

hi guys,
I just wanted to ask you if maybe anyone here can tell me what i have to do to get flac an wave files working on the htc media player?
I'm asking, because i'd like to leave my ipod video 5g (30gb with rockbox) at home and buy a 16gb card for the hd2
any solutions?
greetz,
Eck
Install and use TCpMP player instead of HTC original music player. Works perfect with all kind of audio, video and pic files.
Is there any way to use remote control buttons in TCpMP ?

Let's visit Conduits website then, Thanks a lot man
Yes, but isn't there any way to make the plugins work with the original media player, because i really like the tab player of the HD2, fits better to the whole device than a third party player and I don't want to start installing millions of apps to be able to open each file, I mean isn't it better to find a way to make it more simple and don't have to full up the memory and the registry of the phone?
Bump... any way of integrating FLAC decoding into this nice-looking program?
i also would like more plugins ffor the htc player because the controls look realy good and it plays full screen. flv, divx, etc, etc, and even wmv would be nice. somebody please.
