Successfuly got Big Storage to work with my I installed only Ext ROM files that I needed. These files include all the operator setting that are applicable to me. I aslo installed O2Auto.sa cab file (Auto Config Program) to help switch from one operator setting to another. Now when I run the Auto Config program, none of the operator files i've installed are listed.
Any idea on how to fix this?
I don't have that cab file and cannot say what's in it. Most probably it only contains O2 customization and not a software to perform autoconfiguration when switching SIMs.

I have cooked my extended ROM and following a hard reset or re-flash with the Extended ROM included the Wizard appears to install the two .CAB files I have included. However the 1st .CAB file just adds a Root Certificate (which I think is just a registry addition?) and the 2nd configures the VoIP stuff. The Wizard then resets, however neither of the packages are there - i.e. the Root Certificate isn't installed and the VoIP settings aren't there. If I manually click on the .CAB files in the extended ROM via Total Commander they install OK?
I have a feeling this might be to do with the reset that follows the extended ROM installation, however I could be wrong? I have verified the two .CAB files and the config.txt are set to Read-Only. What am I missing?
EDIT: Schoolboy error here Need to make the files read-only through WinImage.....
Thanks

Does anyone know which cab file is used to configure the connection settings on the inital boot-up? I have looked through all the cab files in the windows directory, but the only cab files I could find related to connection settings were for removing and restoring the proxy... But nothing creating the different connections.
Basically, my goal is to create a cab file that can be used to create the AT&T settings for any ROM. Similar to what we had from Custel on the 8525. Any help is appreciated
Thanks,
when i flashed to the 0.7 rom it automatically downloaded the settings...dunno if it was something in the rom.
do a search for HTC connection wizard...this will configure att's settings automatically...this is what i use and it works everytime i change ROMs...
I have some cabs that have been posted on the forums for AT&T/Cingular. Here's what I have.
Vodafone runs a setup application when the phone is booted after the roms is flashed, it installs some software and sets it up for Vodafones 3G/HSDPA network. Is there a way to extract this? I have the rom, but after running the scoter kitchen extract option I couldn't find anything that might be it...
So is it possible?

I'm still missing some things after installing this.
I used to have a push mail installer from vodafone and I had 4 connections now I have 3. I think I'm missing the mail from the list.
theres couple different things the autorun does. Changes themes, bootscreens, and couple connection settings. I'm assuming you want the connection settings. There are cabs all around for certain connection settings. If you end up doing this yourself, you will have to play around with the kitchen and extract the NBH files. After extracting, all the files would be in the OEMoperator folder.
Yeah i found a bunch of stuff. Not in the oemoperators folder but the operatorpkg.
Is there a way of installing this in a allready installed rom, or should I rebuild and reflash the rom with this in it?
As it looks to me I should probely stuff the entire OEM folder in the new rom...
Use this, its for the dutch operators
This simple tool to automatically setup your data connection
its posible to run the cab with the 1e installation
I managed to rip out and insert the oem from the vodafone rom and insert it in to the rom I wanted to use. I was just wondering if it was posible to create my own OEM package from it, but there are some files (particulary the operator and menu config) that conflict and have to be merged. Is there a process so I can use it on other roms to without having to merge it manualy every time?
in my windows mobile, after clean boot or hard reset certain softwares(.cab) will always get installed,ie after clean boot windows phone start with default settings and suddenly a screen appears saying:"auto config in,3 sec....,2 sec...,1 sec, phone auto restart and these softwares(.cab) can see while installing the .cab filenames undergoing installation is shown, which includes spb mobile shelll 3.5,mms setps, camera and radio softwares, other drivers required to run the device, then restarts, after wards the software in card if placed get installed
but i know how the software in the card got installed ,because i placed autorun config files for installation,if card is removed then this software is not installed,i got how software in the card is installed, because i know the location of the setup files in the cards drive folder
but my question here is from where is the auto configuration .cab files on first case get installed, these files installed on this time is not shown in remove programs in control settings of phone
i know silent installed softwares some times not get listed on remove programs;then how to remove programs that is not listed on it,or any silent installed soft cabs or exes
so from where is these cab file located(.cab),how can i locate all these .cab files,or is it an exe file than can instal cab files,or is it a batch process file,i dont exacty know the auto configuration setup,i searched phone memory for .cab files wit different file explorers like total commander, resco, etc etc,no success,
some how its hidden,or got placed within .zip or auto config.cab files, which i cannot trace,if the orgin of the file is found then how can i extract these files from some other file formats
please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been struggling to get my mms setting configured for a year now with no luck. I have a LG Optimus 7 from 2010 pdc conference.
I'm trying to configure mms settings for the carrier Viaero (small nebraska/colorado carrier). The settings i need are defined at http://viaeronetops.blogspot.com/
The device is ChevronWP7 unlocked. and Interop Unlocked.
I've tried all the suggestions out there, set ADC (no luck), select the provider xml in mfg - Set network profiles (no luck, need different settings). Lg Network Setup app (doesn't list the carrier settings i need)
I've come to the conclusion i need to copy a custom xml config file to the phone then select the xml file in mfg - Set network profiles. I believe i have created the xml config file i need (see attached file) based off of the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1022833&highlight=mms+settings&page=3
Now how to get the file to the phone. I have windows phone device manager 1.8 from TouchExperience installed. I can copy the file to \My Documents but not to \Windows. The file never shows up in the mfg - Set network profiles. Do i need to copy the file to \Windows (How do i do this) or can i select the file that i copied to \My Documents a different way.
I've seen other paces that say to use Wp7UsbStorageEnabler.exe to show you phone in explorer, tried this but i only see a single directory, tried copying the file into the directory, no luck.
Please help this is really my only complaint about wp7 and would really like to get this solved.
To sum it up, how do i copy a custom carrier xml confg file to the phone and select it.
thanks
scott
I've been trying to get copy files to work using DiagProvXML (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238519&highlight=provxml) but i can't get any file copies to work.
Is this because of the LG phone?
Are there special steps i need to use. Currently i'm using
-File Operations
-Click the + symbol
-Click save provxml
-Go back to the main screen provxml
-Click the save icon at the bottom of the screen
I get no errors but the file operation never works.
