After having unlocked my new MDA II (T-Mobile Germany) with Lokiwiz02b, I have tried to upgrade the device with the latest T-Mobile SW package "2004_09_08_t-mobile_de_shipping__sw1.72.170.zip". Unfortunately "HimaUpgradeUt.exe" could not detect the ROM and Radio SW Version. The Extended ROM was displayed as follows: 1.12.02.10.
Checking the DeviceData.txt file in the /Windows folder of the MDA II did not provide more information:
"U S B 0 1 . 1 2 . 0 2 . 1 0 6"
The MDA II shows following configuration details:

Apperently the program (HimaGetDeviceData.exe) detecting the SW and Hardware release Version is having a problem with my device, maybe due to unlocking it with "lokiwiz02b".
Who can help me solving my problem, so that I can update the MDA II to the latest T-Mobile release? Would the setup programm execute the installation with a correct DeviceData.txt file, maybe copied from someone having a similar device, or is t a completely different problem? I have executed an Hard-Reset but but it did not help. Apparently the SW release installed after the reset was older than the initially installed version.

I am a fresh owner of a C600 and I want to back-up the original ROM (reasons are rather obvious). So:
1 - De-certificated (with RegeditSTG) and unlocked (SPV-Services) the phone
2 - Inserted a blank 32Mo SD-Card in slot
3 - Powered the phone to bootloader (IPL 1.00, SPL 1.00.0009)
4 - Turned off ActiveSync
5 - inserted the USB Cable (on phone appears USB on bottom)
6 - Started Tera Term
7 - sent r2sd all to phone
but in Tera Term window appears:

R2SDBackup() - Download type = 6
usTotalBlock = 1 sizeof(SDCARD_SIGNATRUE_TABLE)=512
You didn't get the proper security level to download a specific image
I tried to set CID to 11111111 with SPV Services but it says:
'Illegal writezone patch attempt - invalid data'
Can you help me? Is there any other way to make a backup of the original ROM? Thanks in advance.
Any luck in re-flashing your device?
I think your stuck with editing the registry like many of us who flashed to the latest Orange AKU2.0 ROM

I have made a ROM Backup/Dump of my new "Vodafone VPA Compact s" by using aWizard. --Original ROM of Vodafone.
For some one it concerns and interest.
I have made it in two versions: .nba ROM for aWizard or myOs flashing; .nbf version for RUU flashing. You can choose different methods freely.
1. .nba (.nb) ROM by using flashing tool "aWizard" or "myOS" for G4:
It includes: vodafone-HTCLogo, vodafone-OS, vodafone-Radio and vodafone-ExtROM. all in filetype ".nba".
You can flash this ROM by using Prophet-tools such as MyOS or awizard according to right steps.

2. .nbf ROM by using flashing tool "ROMUpdateUtility NovendorID" for G4: click ROMUpdateUtility_G4.exe and then step by step.
2a). RUU ROM for Vodafone VPA Compact s (without Ext_Rom, IPL/SPL), you can copy the your own Ext_rom (or download the original EXT_ROM version of Vodafone from my post above--Download & Unzip/Unrar it you will see) to your PPC\extended_Rom by using software "Total_Commander" and run manuelly.

Hi, I am having some trouble tring to flash my Wizard(cingular 8125).
I'm following this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613 but everying time I try to flash the wizard love rom, I keep getting the error 302. I even tried the button rom and the same thing happens. But it will let me flash the Cingular rom the the HTC site everytime I get stuck in boot loader mode.
So what am I doing wrong?
Which is your device A G3 or G4 ? What is it's IPL/SPL...?,download the WST tool and run to verify the DOC chip version of your phone.Post report here.

Hard SPL is only for G4 devices,what if he has a G3 device ? First,version of the phone has to be verified,only then any suggestion is appropriate !!!

I have read some Guides but when i flash the T-Mobile 2.26 rom my MDA Vario reboots direct after start the flash process.

My CID lock and so else is not locked I think.
