The XDAmini is empty now.. Does this file ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID, work in this phase, when the XDA's ROM is empty ? I tryed to run this program, it starts, but I get the error that my device is not connected ..
I tryed to put back on the XDA's ROM Windows 2003 german version (i'm not shure it's the same version that was originaly on the XDA) but I still get the "Country ID" error ..
Please help me.. and tell me what to do

I damage MDAc with testing of flashing Now only what I can is start MDAc to BootLoader (version 0.2), nothing else. All updates, what I testing are "Country ID error" and dont help me changing operator too. I have other device, but it is I-Mate JAM. From JAM (BootLoader version 1.0) I download ROM to SD card (via USB terminal), but when I insert card in MDAc, only, what I seee is "Not allow update!". When insetr SD to JAM, all is OK and flashing is allowed. I dont have SD card reader. What can I do?

V okamžiku kdy spustíš nový upgrade, a napíše ti to "country ID error", hned zmen operatora u toho updatu na jiny, cihlu ponechej připojenou, a upgrade spusť znovu. Opakuj dokud nevystřídáš všechny čtyři operátory. Vůbec mezitím neodpojuj cihlu od PC. Pokud se to nerozjede ani s jednim operátorem, zkus hned jiný upgrade, a postupuj stejně.. Takhle jsem kdysi probudil jednu totálně mrtvou MDA II.. I´m busy, so I don´t have a time write it in english.. SORRY
And which four Country ID codes you mean? :wink:
T-mobile, CDL, Qtek, O2. Test upgrade with this all operator, and let the Compact connected to PC during this testing..

I don´t know it.. But I think, every operator has his own upgrade, so find them and test them.. Someone must work!!!
"Country ID error" is diferent between this upgrade..
I dont know why, but now my MDAc can boot to system (but without GSM). I run GetDeviceData.exe and this is DeviceData.txt. As you can see, some informations are missing. I test start upgrading on JAM and after verify I connect MDAc, but this dont work too.

It allowed me to flash an english Rom (and later an Italian one) over a German device. I suppose that if you find right international codes of your rom you can flash the new one.

I just bought my German language mda compact II. I thought I was buying the old mda compact and I could change the language to english.
Is there any way to change it to English? I think I wouldn't even mind going back to windows mobile 2003 se either.

I downloaded the file but when I tried to install it it said it has a vendor problem. It is a german t-mobile phone. Could you help me how to get arount this problem? Now there is no ruu.conf file like in the case of mda compact.

Thanks. I tried MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe but that one doesn't work with the windows mobile 5. Where can I get ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe?

get to the phones bootloader and connect it up to usb, run the MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe (ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID is for wizard and charmers) to remove the ID checking. go back to the bootloader and you should be able to install any magician rom package. you dont need an activesync connection for it to work, just be in bootloader with 'USB' in the corner once youve connected it.
I Have and 02 Mini with the EnglishROM 1.11 WWE which I would like to upgrade to a portuguese ROM.
The only portuguese ROM i have found is the
JAM_10605_169_10500_ship
When trying to upgrade I got the country error and then after doing the MaUpgradeUt.exe I got the
"ERROR 150: ROM UPGRADE UTILITY ERROR
This ROM Upgrade Utility does not design [sic.] for you device.
Please get proper ROM Utility Upgrade and try again!"
How should I proceed in order to achive the upgrade and Language Change?
Can any one lead me to the correct Portugues ROM? Is is poosible to go from the O2 ROM to the I mate jam ROM?

I forgot to mention that I am running Vista with the Windws Mobile Device Center. Will that impact the upgrade. Should the upgrade only be done under XP and Activesynch?
I also forgot to mention that the only reason that I am trying to download to the Jam Portuguese ROM is that when I downloaded the Magician Portuguese ROM in the Wiki {http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Magician} the file would not unpack and or work. Whenever I clicked it nothing would happen. When I tried to extrat files with the win rar app I get the folowing message "The archive is in unknown format or damaged"

I finally managed to upgrade my ROM to a different Langauge. I was previously unable to do it since I was working thrugh windows Vista once I moved to an XP computer it worked on the first try.

I bought a MDA pro (qtek 9000 etc)./
But it is totally messed up by the previous owner. I tried to install windows mobile english (it has windows mobile 6.1 german). But it says it isnt the right software for the device. And the phone function doesnt work.
Can someone please help me with how i can make my phone function work and change the language to english (german is the only installed version).

Do you receive a "error 114" when loading a radio ROM? I've had the "NO GSM", "ERROR 114" since 2005 on my XDA Exec. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a solution. There is some info. on this error that can be found, but not much, and no success stories...SORRY...However, I'd be forever grateful if you did discover a fix and I'm sure others would be too; if you shared it. Good Luck!!
u can ask for a solution through MTTY .. maybe someone can help u format the radio rom and reflash it or something
i'm no expert, but i think some expert can give u a code to use in MTTY to do that

I was in WM 2003 in my Qtek s100 (radio 1.11.0) then i changed rom to cotulla 3.06 WWE (last version), it's works but now i want to have original rom, the english or the french one, i downloaded from trusted site, like Shipped-rom, etc...but everytime i flash it tells me that there is a problem.
The english one tells me "Country ID ERROR" the french one tells me the same, and the other french one tells me General Error, and it does not work when i use MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe, i really need to flash to the last original version of my Qtek s100 !!
Please help me !

Yes i did ! it says upgrade from (nothing, it's blank) to (nothing, it's blank) then it says succesfull but when i boot the phone it's the same !
