Need Answer for Downgrading my Compact II - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

let me thx in advance for answering my question.
I have a MDA Compact II and i searched the forum some people said it can be downgrad form WIN CE 5 to other Magician rom, but some said it can't.
Is any one success downgrad the ROM? I am going to use a DUMP method to downgrad a WIN CE 5 to Chinese Version, it that all right?

no1 know the answer? i am really confused!

The MDA Compact II is not a magician, it's a charmer.
While the two look identical there are differences internally.
Don't under any circumstances try to load WM2003SE on it. It will not work.

Need Mda compact to work on o2

Hi Guys
Can any one help please
I have just got a mda compact on t-mobile but I want to use it on o2.
Have had a good read through the forum, I have seem to confuse myself not sure whats happening :roll:
Is it possible to unlock mda so it will take my o2 sim? if so please advise best way of doing this.
Or is it possible to flash or update the rom with the o2 xda II mini rom on to my t-mobile mda compact? If this is possible it would be perfect with all the o2 setting & meuns.
If this is possible, where can I get the o2 mini rom from.
most of the links & ftp don't seem to work.

but the charmer has already wm05 installed
and is not available with wm3
Do you mean the mda compact I (magican)?
If yes, you cannot upgrade it to wm05.

i seen on a site that MDA compact II as a OS WM3.

And you can not downgrade it to WM2003.

I downgraded my Charmer to 2003 and I upgraded it to WM 2005.
Do not give wrong information to people.
If you don't believe me.. Go to the support site of qtek.nl and click on support --> software updates
You will see that the rom of s100 can be used for s110.
So the rom of the Magician can be used for the Charmer.
But I will agree that the Magician can't use Charmer's rom if it's a WM5 rom.
Qtek S110 is not Charmer,It is a Magician that has got 128Mb Ram,so that it cannot upgrade to WM5.0

Charmer is downgradable...
You can use 2003 & 2005
I've got one in my hand right now and it was 2005.. Now it's 2003.
The device has PM200 written on the label on the back.
In a few minutes it will change into wm 2005 again (from iris global - T-Mobile)

Question about CID Unlocking

Hi,
my first post here. I've used the search function but I did not found an answer.
I've got an MDA Compact II (HTC Magician II i think).
With the old ROM (forgot to write down the version numbers ^^, i think it was 1.12) i was able to CID_UNLOCK using aWizard 1.3 beta 2, and then i've changed the bootscreen.
Now i've upgraded my MDA with the AKU2 upgrade from the German T-Mobile site.
My Questions:
:?: Is my phone still CID_UNLOCKED AFTER the AKU2 Upgrade?
:?: Do i have to CID_UNLOCK every time i start aWizard, when my MDA is allready CID_UNLOCKED?
After the Upgrade i can't CID_UNLOCK it :evil:, as many users report here too.

No IPL/SPL No Way!
Man there's no IPL/SPL on Magician. Get me a way to put them on magician and I tell you how to upgrade to wm6!

You're on the wrong forum, the Mda Compact II is a Charmer not a magician. You can go to the proper charmer forum to upgrade your device to WM6.

err. did i read it correctly that you compact 2 has wm2003? if it is, then its not a charmer. Its a magician, youre pretty stuck with 2003se same as everybody else.

Cotullas WWE on Magician I (MDA compact)??

i don´t want to kill my mda compact (magician I), but i´m very interested in updating my little friend on WM6.1...for that reason i wanted to ask you if you can please tell me if it is possible to use cotullas HTCMAG_ROM_WWE on this device (i have read something about the xda mini II, just want to know if i can also use it on the mini I).
If this is possible, which Version do i have to install? (WWE 01, 02, 03)...which Addons are important (e.g. searcher12´s Service Pack for cotulla ROM)?

EDIT: I´m using TomTom Navigator 6 on my 2003SE...i´ve read something about problems with GPS connectivity, has this been fixed meanwhile?

check your original radio version,if it's already 1.12,you can upgrade WWE_O3,if not,you must download WWE_O1 and WWE_O3,and then copy "radio_.nbf" from WWE_O1 to WWE_O3.
