my mda don`t see mp3 for rington?! - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 Software Upgrading

my mda don`t see mp3 for rington?!
i have ImateJAM_WWE_1.12.119 where is the problem? Why i can`t set a mp3 files to standart ring ton?

Firstly, you are putting the files you want in windows\rings aren't you?
Next, Do you have any media players installed other than WMP? if so, edit them so that WMP is the default player for handeling MP3s, then try again.

i has not understand you.... i have only GSPlayer and Windows media player please tel me step by step what i mast do
and i have strage card...1GB

1 step: You should place your mp3 in the folder windows/rings
2 step: You should uncheck (remove) association with mp3 format in your audio players except WMP.

Heh...
In the another MP3-players uncheck associations with MP3-files.
And My advice for you: use the WMA-files as ringtone.

ringtones

i have transfered a mp3 song onto my sd card , does anybody know how to make this my ringtone?....it doesn't show when i try to add new tones is it because its mp3 format or am i missing theobvious :?: :?:
yep your missing something alright
depending on your operating system.
ringtone files need to be in your windows directory for standard os/2003 & 2003se and need to be wav/mid format
wm2005 works with wav mid wma 3gp wmv from anywhere
no in 2003 ring tones can also be wma
When I got my XDAIIs from O2, it can set wma files as ringtone. Just yesteday after I did a hard reset, my phone has already been unable to read wma files. Do you have any idea why this happened?

I'm using an XDAII myself...and I have like 60 mp3 songs in it. I'm practically using my xda2 as an mp3 player whenever i travel.
I'm quite sure mp3s can be loaded in the fone. also playing mp4, wav, midi, etc.

Listening/Transfering Music

Do you all manually add mp3 or other files manually? Do many use WM6 devices as their primary pmp?
I find it is inconvenient, but I just dropped some $ on a TyTN II and I don't want to carry another device for music. I haven't used TCPMP before.
What sort of setup do you have for listening, converting and syncing music?
I have a TyTN II, 200 gb of music (in .aac, .mp3, .flac, .shn, .wma, .wav and CD), licences for Pocket Player and Pocket Music (with the .aac extension).
How can I add ipod like convenience with this tools?

Have you tried using HTC Home Customizer to obtain this effect?
Need HTC customizer
dharvey4651 where can I get the HTC customizer, I tried the link in the Blackdiamond thread but it does not work. Thanks
htc home customizer..
yes i tried the customizer.. but it only shows htc audio manager and windows media player..
i have core player and morthplayer and both of them don't show up...
Hmmm... Have you checked the registry and played around with that? It might be possible to change the default Media Player through the registry
registry edit
well i am not very familiar with the registry.. however i learned from one of the threads that i could change the string value on the registry to change default player.. but only 0 and 1 makes a difference again switching from audio manager to windows media player... tried other digits.. but don't seem to work..
please help me!!
the commands and paths calling the media player application is embedded within the mediahub.exe (the file responsible for the media face of cube and calling the media player from the plugin)..
unless you decompile the exe and hexedit the values/path.. you will be stuck with Audio manager or WMP...
there's a walk around though.. look for VJbrisk (google it: try VJBrisk vijay555 as querry).. rename the installed EXE as AudioManager.exe then copy-paste it on the \Windows Directory (don't forget to rename the original AudioManager.exe in the windows directory before pasting).. then grab a shortcut of CorePlayer or MortPlayer, rename it as target.lnk and paste it in the \windows directory..
that's the hard way to do it..
